It was easy to finish this book in one day, though the subject matter is quite immense. I commend this author for covering such a broad subject in a short amount of space. The introductory material lays out his credentials so to pair this subject down for children must have taken some effort. I have learned much of this information over time through many books and articles. It was nice to read a review of information especially because I tend to forget mile stone occurrences. I was a little surprised that he didn’t go into the history of the jet engine but he did cover it sufficiently in the afterword section to give an understanding of it and also show where one can learn more information. This book was worth the read and I would recommend it.
