About the author
Alan Thereault
8 books1 followerAlan Thereault is the author of the Ghosts of Oblivion series—intelligent, high-concept espionage thrillers where intelligence warfare, emerging technologies, and geopolitical brinkmanship collide with deeply human stakes.
His stories explore what happens when institutions optimize for survival instead of morality—and how ordinary people navigate extraordinary pressure. At the center of the series are not chosen heroes, but flawed operatives, scientists, and parents forced to decide what they are willing to sacrifice for continuity, for each other, and for a future they may never see.
Drawing from lived experience inside complex systems, Thereault blends procedural realism with philosophical depth. His work is written for readers who enjoy tension grounded in plausibility, moral ambiguity, and consequences that linger.
The Cold War did not end. It recalibrated.
When not writing, he develops narrative-driven musical works connected to the Ghosts of Oblivion universe.
