John Hudson Tiner is a lifelong educator, and has acquired a reputation for writing clearly about science. He has wide-ranging interests, and has also written about American history and several of the sciences. He and his wife, Jeanene, live in Missouri.

From Pythagoras who invented algebra two Hypocris who said if you found the cause of disease you can care it to astronomers those who found chemical elements and much much more. They came from many different walks of life in countries and they all make up the hundred scientists who changed and improved our world. I found this book so entertaining I love knowledge and although the store is a short into the point I enjoyed each and everyone of them. I think this is a great education source for children and I will be sharing my copy with my daughter. She loves knowledge as much as I do and I know she will totally enjoy this book. I was given this book by net galley and I am leaving this review voluntarily please forgive any grammar or punctuation errors as I am blind and dictate my review but all opinions are definitely my own.

Each page (in pretty small print in two columns) gives an overview of one of the 100 Scientists Who Shaped World History. It starts with Pythagoras and ends with Hawking. The focus of each mini bio is on what one or two things they discovered or invented that changed the world and is not meant to even remotely cover their whole life. This book can easily be read cover to cover or by picking and choosing a scientist to read about here and there. It’s a great introduction for kids to lots of scientists from many branches of science.

This is a book about 100 scientists. It is slightly like a biography but it tis very simple and easy to read. It tells you what year was a scientist born, where is the scientist from, which university did the scientist go to, what did the scientist do, and when did he die and also how he died. This sounds like a very simple information but it just gets in your head right away. I didn't quite have interest in science but with this book it helped me get interested in science. I especially liked Galen who is a physicist born in 130 AD because he was very honored by other physicists that were living in his time and even until now. There are lots of other scientists I liked but I can't list them all. i recommend this book to people who didn't quite have interest in science or is writing a biography,who likes biography, and people who like science because they will get to learn more about scientists they didn't know!

I accessed a digital review copy of this book from the publisher.
The book covers 100 different scientists. They focus on the late 1700s- early 1900s. Most of the people are male and European. Each person has one page of information about them and their discoveries or explorations. This works well as an introduction to some of the more notable and known scientists and mathematicians.
This would be a good book to be updated to include a wider variety of people and their contributions.

Great overview of many of the great people who contributed to science. You'll probably think of a few that should have been included, but learning about the ones you hadn't heard of is what books like this are for.
