Elizabeth Bennet and her sister Jane navigate the cutthroat world of equestrian dressage, largely fueled by a maxed-out credit card. Their journey is complicated by the presence of Darcy, a former acquaintance whose initial condescension clashes with his later, quiet support, and the manipulative rival Colette Moreau.
The narrative details the sisters' struggles with financial strain and sabotage, particularly the injury of Jane's horse, Pegasus, which they suspect Colette orchestrated
As Elizabeth receives coaching from Olympic rider Remy Marchand and begins to form an uneasy alliance with Darcy, the sisters uncover evidence of Colette's corruption and ultimately confront her.
There is a growing bond between Elizabeth and Darcy, a mended relationship between the Bennet sisters, and a determination to succeed despite Colette's continued threats, setting the stage for a dramatic showdown at Nationals.
See what happens when it seems all might be close to lost!
This was very much out of canon from P&P, and I rarely like mysteries (only the JAFF angle pulled me into it), but this I did like. This is the best of the series so far. They were all out of canon, and somewhat OOC, but this one had a better flow to it and more likeable MCs (if that is important to you).
