A slow-burn enemies-to-lovers mafia romance with explosive chemistry, brutal loyalty, and a blood oath neither of them can escape.
He was the man she was promised to. Now he’s the last one she wants… and the only one she can’t live without.
Angelo Santelli is a ruthless mafia don—cold, calculating, and infuriatingly hot. Theodosia Anthakos is the girl who grew up knowing she’d marry him… until he shattered her trust and she made it her mission to destroy his peace.
He’s the criminal king of New York. She’s chaos wrapped in couture. And when old enemies rise and family secrets ignite, they’ll have to decide if love is worth the war.
I have been waiting for Angelo and Theo’s book and boy it didn't disappoint! Theo has convinced herself that she hates Angelo but like they say there's a thin line between love and hate. I loved watching Angelo and Theo clash until they finally combust. Their chemistry is off the charts! Don't worry this book isn't all romance, it has some surprising twists and turns that will keep you turning the pages. This book can be read as a standalone. I highly recommend reading the two previous books.
Oofta, what a wild ride this book was! Ok, let me give you the rundown. This is a dark mafia romance, & the 3rd book in The Commission Novel Series. Take my hand as we stroll down a street filled with glitter & chaos...
FULL REVIEW & POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD: So this is the story about Angelo Santelli & Theodosia Anthakos. Let's start out with setting the scene. Angelo had a rough childhood. His mother was like the wicked witch of the west, way worse than his father ever was. She left a stain engraved deep in his soul. Carlotta Santelli was cruel, heartless, meticulous, & completely insane. And she sets the stage for a complete hurricane of a plot-twist, which in turn rings the bell Angelo's been avoiding like the plague - the bloodoath pact made years ago by their father's, which tied him, Maxim, Conall, & Ilias all together, creating a powerful alliance with all 4 mafia's through marriage.
Carlotta mysteriously arranges a meeting with Theo, who's been living in Europe as an underground fashion designer, after being a ghost for decades. Not good. Nope, not good at all. Carlotta sets Theo up to be kidnapped & trafficked as the grand prize to the highest bidder. 😳 Welp, Theodosia Anthakos is not sugar, spice, & everything nice. She's more like sage, hood, & wish a motherfucker would! 🤭🤣 Omg her inner dialog is a knee-slappin, side-crampin good time! Her & Angelo are a match made in hell, absolute perfection. 🤌😈
Well, Angelo & the whole band of mafia men go in a blazing to burn the world down. And oh my lanta, a lot, & I mean a shit-ton, happens along the way. This story was an emotional ride y'all, with twists & turns at every corner, suspence & betrayal, the snarky "brotherly" banter we all adore back in full force 🤣🙌, & spice that'll leave you fully satisfied! 🥵🔥 Bravo to the auth0r, who did a spectacu!ar job once again to create a beautiful, chaotic masterpiece. Another fantastic read, 4⭐️'s! Off to Ilias & Galina's story...

FAV QUOTES/SCENES: It was unsettling seeing him like this—all gooey. I had been used to Maxim being an unfeeling icicle, and seeing him have actual human feelings made me want to simultaneously hurl.
Theo was someone who grabbed your attention. A hurricane wrapped in silk, spinning through life without a care for the wreckage she left behind. Not only did she tend to dress herself like she either farted a rainbow or was colorblind, but she radiated joy. It made it so you couldn’t look away.
“Of all the goddamn things...Kidnap me, threaten me, whatever, but ruin my outfit? Unforgivable.”
"You're mine"
"You’re fire and thunder and glitter and chaos. No glass case could ever hold you.”
Angelo - "I want you to choose it. Me. Not because you were forced into it, but because you want it."
"That's my good girl"
"For Theo, I'd burn the world down"
There were always more devils in the dark, but I was ready for them all.
“Theo, I pictured you, which means chaos. Glitter. And a string quartet playing AC/DC. I love you. Whatever you want for a wedding. Whatever that looks like is what I want.”
“You deserve everything. I’m going to make sure you have it.”
“To chaos and couture. To murder and matrimony. To Theo and Angelo—may you always be each other’s favorite felony.”
She was my happily ever after.

Wow… just wow. This book was a complete rollercoaster from start to finish. Angelo’s Vengeance had me hooked from the first page with all the dark mafia drama, intense chemistry, and family chaos I didn’t even know I needed. Angelo Santelli is… complicated. He’s damaged, powerful, and completely obsessed with protecting Theo—but he’s also carrying the scars of a terrible childhood and a mother who is straight-up terrifying. Carlotta Santelli is one of those villains you love to hate; she’s manipulative, ruthless, and basically the reason the whole story explodes into chaos. And then there’s Theo. I loved her. She’s smart, sassy, and doesn’t take anyone’s crap—not even Angelo’s. Watching her stand her ground while Angelo tries to keep his distance (and failing miserably) was both hilarious and heart-stopping. Their banter had me laughing out loud at times, and the tension between them? Electric. You can feel the chemistry in every interaction. The plot moves fast, full of twists, betrayals, and moments that made my heart race. The arranged-marriage backstory adds so much depth to their relationship, and the way Angelo slowly opens up to Theo made the story hit harder emotionally. Even with all the action and suspense, there were tender moments that made me actually care about these two beyond the drama.

Haven Fox has done it again. This is book 3 of the series of interconnected characters. It has been so much fun to read, I just love these guys. This dark mafia with an arranged marriage hit all the right notes. Between the action and the spice, this was a page-turner.
Theodosia aka Theo is a confident take-no-nonsense intelligent woman. She is also hilarious, the things that were coming out of her mouth and in her thoughts had me cackling. I love that she is such a loyal friend. She's always had a thing for her best friend's older brother (7-year age gap) until she felt he hurt and betrayed her.
Angelo is a strong alpha mafia boss. Of course, he's morally-grey and we love it. He almost loses her and all the complicated feelings start to rise. He'll do anything to keep her safe.
Wow, did I love these two together?! They were pure fire. Enemies to lovers at its best. When he said to her: "You’re fire and thunder and glitter and chaos. No glass case could ever hold you.” I swooned.
Angelo and Theo what can I say. The beginning and what he said when she was just a teen makes the anger she started with towards him make sense. Then when they are older something happens to change everything between them. He even being a Don supports her having a career and living her dreams. He doesn’t try to stifle her and she doesn’t try to change him. I was angry right along with Angelo that his mom had a hand in the things that happened within the book as well and in the end she got what she deserved.

Angelo's Vengeance is fantastic! These characters are absolutely combustible! You wonder if they’re going to explode because the hate is so deep or if it'll be because the chemistry is so over the top. The banter between these two is so funny at times. It's very relatable and comparable to real life situations. Lol. Angelo Santelli and Theodosia "Theo" Anthakos journey isn't all love/hate bickering though. There's a lot of struggles and outside forces that create huge messes and causes lots of chaos. Angelo's Vengeance will definitely keep you on your toes in one way or another. A definite must read!
This is Angelo and Theo's story. They were an arranged marriage between families when they were young. Angelo kept tabs on Theo but not close security. Her business is being sabotaged & is meeting with an investor, so she thinks. This starts the action. There're twists, turns, the main baddie you weren't quite sure of, banter, Norris, and old friends. Individually Angelo and Theo were fleshed out but their interaction seemed that there was something missing. The business side seemed to wrap up quite easily. This dark mafia romance is one thrilling action-packed story that had me from the first page. If you are looking for diabolical characters who take you along a tumultuous journey of manipulation, morally corrupted and just plain evil, look no more because Angelo's mother is that and so much more. He strives to be nothing like his parents and when the woman whom Angelo caused to hate him walks back into his life it makes him want to be the man, she needs but will there be happiness in the end.

If you guess, based on the blurb, that FMC walked in on MMC (mouth)f*cking some chick you are right. I hate that scene with a passion and honestly don't understand why writers love it so much.
So, Angelo did it on purpose to push her away because he was al weird about the age difference. He was 22 and she was 15. He was a man and she was a kid. So he decided to be awful. Toxic much! He has no business acting so possessive and obsessed over her now that she had grown up to be a beautiful woman who he can f*ck. And suddenly he wants to move forward with the marriage.
Third book in the Comission series. Mister broody wants nothing to do with Theodosia. But will he have a choice, after Theo is kidnapped?. The four families are up in arms trying to find Theo. And worst part is the person who had her kidnapped. I'll leave that for you to find out. Angelo and Theo is getting closer to each other, but they aren't voicing their feelings, yet. What I can tell you is the drama, chasing after suspects, killing and all that, never gets old. Find out for yourself. I totally recommend this book.
Angelo and Theodosia story was years in the making, all the way back to the blood oath the boys for forced to take. This was a roller coaster of a read with a number of moving parts and players making this angst and drama filled read a pager turner. Theo is a beautiful firecracker wrapped in her flamboyant designs and Angelo, a hot as sin take no prisoners mafia don whose chemistry and romance is off the charts. A super addition to the series. Thanks to BookSprout and the author for the opportunity to read and review her work.
The book had a great plot, it kept me interested all the way. It had just enough suspence to get me hooked. I also loved both MMC and FMC, there was great humor bethween the characters included, whitch I loved. I thought that the characters were well designed and individually intriguing. The book had spice, I would say 3 chillis. The book works completely as a standalone, it was the first of this series that I´ve read and I´m very glad that I get to continue to Ilias`s story right away!
4 Stars for Angelo’s Vengeance by ( new for me ) author Haven Fox
Well written dark mafia romance. This is set in the Commission novel series.
The characters in this story are Angelo and Theodosia .. a contract /blood oath marriage. At one point Theodosia would have done anything to be his - boy did things go wrong for this couple …
Another good read by this author enjoying her work !.

This book was great. The twists and turns. The love hate. And of course the spice. Angelo was hot. I hated his thoughts about the age difference until she grew up though. And Theo. She was awesome. This book was a wild ride and I loved it.

Angelo and Theodosia have been promised to each other since they were children. He's a mafia don with all the power, businesses, man and more, but there is plenty of drama and danger too, with secrets, betrayals and passion in the wind. Oh yeah.

Angelo and Theodosia had been promised in a blood oath, but he shattered her trust, but is the only man to keep her safe but she's not going to make it easy on him, even with war coming, will betrayle come from within? Well written engaging steamy action drama, a great addition to the series
Loved it!! Loved reading Angelo’s Vengeance which was a total binge read that I couldn’t put down. Theo and Angelo’s story was action packed and the chemistry between them was super HOT. It was definitely an excellent addition to the series and I can’t wait for more to come!!

Angelo & Theo both want the same thing to be chosen for who they are not what they bring to the marriage contract. When Theo gets kidnapped Angelo is tired of waiting and goes on a rampage to get her back.. this is fast paced, action packed, with suspense, drama and mystery.
Haven Fox just literally blew my mind with this amazing story of Angelo and Theodosia! I admit I came into the series with this book so I have missed some of the background but I seriously want to go hunt down the first two books and jump head first right now! This book delivers a cold and brooding mafia Don whose father made him sign a blood oath with 3 other families arranging marriages between the boys and sisters of the other families. This story revolves around Angelo, the Don of the Italian mafia, and Theodosia, the sister to the Godfather of the Greek mafia. They have grown up together since they were kids and have a messy and complicated past that has aided in keeping them apart.
Angelo is a cold and calculating man who thrives as the head of the Italian mafia. He hated that his father forced him to sign the blood oath and fought him on it. The whole situation left a bad taste in his mouth and he found the age gap with Theo to be weird when he was younger knowing that she had a crush on him. He pushed her away on purpose and it caused this rift for years between them. He was still dealing with his feelings for his parents who neglected him and his siblings and acted like they were possessions instead of kids they could control. As a man, he’s come to realize that he wants more from life than he grew up with and he’s been trying to give Theo her freedom to be her own person but trying to give her independence has led to her kidnapping. And now he’s ready to work hard and claim his bride but he wants her to choose him and he wants to show her he’s not the cruel boy that broke her heart years ago.
Theo is full of life and color and has been chasing her passion of becoming a fashion designer and developing her own style and brand. Her business suddenly lost its footing and she’s been scrambling to figure out the cause and it makes her question what she wants in life. I love that Angelo describes her as thunder and glitter and chaos that no glass case can ever hold. The unfortunate kidnapping has led her to be back home and staying with Angelo. She has known about the blood oath since she was young which caused her to be more rebellious and chase her dreams. But in the end, she didn’t want it to be forced, she wanted to be chosen and wanted as a wife. That’s her wish for Angelo and she slowly gets to see the man he’s grown into and the softer side of him in his own home! You don’t want to miss this discovery!
This story delivers suspense, drama, darkness and gore but also celebrates life, love, families and discovering who you truly are. I love that Angelo treats Theo as his equal and celebrates her quirkiness and allows her to flourish and grow. I love that Theo has self-esteem issues but you see her deal with it in a healthy way and decide that she is worthy. I loved getting to see the family they’ve created between the four families from the blood oath. They turned a dismal situation from their fathers into their own found family whose loyalty would never be broken. I can’t wait to read more in this series! I absolutely love Haven’s writing and pace and will definitely be on the lookout for more by this author!
Theo nursed a teenaged crush on Angelo Santelli for years—until one shattering night changed everything. Caught in a compromising moment, Angelo’s harsh, unnecessary cruelty turned Theo’s affection into ice-cold loathing. Though destiny had long decreed she'd one day become his bride, Theo refused to play along. Instead, she chased her passion for fashion design all the way to Italy, carving out a bold and independent life of her own. Neither she nor Angelo was in any rush to fulfill their arranged marriage, until danger forced their paths to collide again. When someone makes a move on Theo, everything changes. I was hooked from the first moment the tension spiked. The enduring bond between the four mafia families remains a heartwarming backbone to the story, grounding the high-stakes action in love and loyalty. As the race to find Theo begins, the romance and suspense blend into a heady, addictive mix that keeps adrenaline—and emotions—running high. Once Theo is back, safe in Angelo’s arms, he’s hit with a gut-punch realization: he’s been an utter fool. Theo is a dazzling force of color, light, and creative chaos that’s been sorely missing from his life. But winning back her trust? That’s going to take more than charm. Fortunately, Angelo is more than up for the challenge. I adored Theo’s quirky, imaginative spark—so vibrant, she seems almost too whimsical for the mafia world. But Theo has always danced to her own rhythm, and Angelo doesn’t just accept that—he celebrates it. One of my favorite aspects of The Commission series is how the men treat their women as equals and true partners, and Theo and Angelo’s dynamic is no exception. Of course, it’s not all heart-melting moments and passionate reunions. Just as things begin to settle, a ghost from Angelo’s past steps out of the shadows, threatening everything. The danger ramps up with chilling precision, and the villain’s cold, calculating, manipulative evil makes them one of the series’ darkest antagonists yet. My only gripe? After all the turmoil they’d caused, their downfall felt a little too quick. I would’ve loved a longer, more satisfying reckoning—especially for Angelo, Maxim, Conall, and Ilias. Still, I loved the reunion between Theo and her BFF Frankie, and with Cora, little Vasily, and the rest of the crew, the family circle feels whole again…well almost. Because wait—what about Ilias and Galina? Oh yes, buckle up—we’re definitely not done yet. 😊 I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Cat’s Stats MMC/FMC- Angelo and Theodosia Genre- Mafia Romance Heat- open door, frequent, explicit. No virgins. Series? Y Safety? Y (although there is a non-explicit voyeurism scene where he’s with another woman back when the hero was 22 and the heroine was 15 and there was no relationship). Triggers- violence, language in two languages, trafficking, kidnapping, child abuse, implied SA/R of a minor character (off page), firearms, using sewing scissors to cut paper. Tropes- Dysfunctional Family FTW, Arranged Marriage, Best Friend’s Brother, Breeding Kink, Damsel in Distress, Do-Si-Do with the Mafioso, Simply Mad About The Mob, He Ain’t Heavy— He’s My Bratva, Ecumenical Mob Gathering, Designing Woman, Enemies To Lovers, That’s Not My Leg. Mewsings Th E characters are great. I absolutely adored Theo and her love of fashion design and styling. She’s sassy and fun, and I love that she worked on the negative thoughts in her head and became happy with herself and her body. Angelo was incredibly thoughtful with everything from assisting her when she’s injured But he doesn’t rule a mafia family for nothing; Angelo takes care of business. And the side characters are varied. I love the Commission concept and the twist on the arranged marriage trope. It’s a family that involves ties of marriage, yes, but was forged through shared experiences with dysfunctional parents and growing up Mob. The plot was easy to follow and the big bad guy is thoroughly Ebil. They deserve to always be stuck behind a tractor whenever they are in a hurry. This book is not torture p orn. There’s an economy of on-page violence; the Commission members are focused and only use as much violence as needed to get the job done. I enjoyed reading this book and it and the whole series are keepers. I’m very much looking forward to reading Ilias’s story soon.
This is the third book in the commission series. Well, each couples story stands alone as its own unique romance, there is historical information that you build as the series continues. The couples from previous stories also appear and subsequent stories. They really should be read in order from the beginning. Years ago, when they were children, their father made them sign a blood oath to unite their rival families together by marriage. Two of them have married and now it’s his turn. He is the head of the Italian mafia family. His sister has just married into the Irish mafia. His bride is decent to be his sister’s best friend and also sister to the head of the Greek mafia. They have known each other since they were kids back then he pushed her away knowing that she had a crush on him, but that she didn’t know about the blood oath. She has been angry at him since then, and he has let her experience life… but always known what was destined for them. When she is kidnapped, he realizes that his letting her be independent has made her at target, so he is ready to correct that. He is ready to bring his bride home. In some ways, this might be the gentlest of the stories with them always having a strong attraction for each other. Even though he is ready to step up, he also allows her the opportunity to grow with the idea. He is dark and brooding and ruthless in business, and she is chaos and energy and glitter and grace. The other has done a great job once again with character development, giving you two very unique characters. One thing I really admire about the series is that while all of the MMC‘s are mafia men none of them are the same each one has his own distinct characteristics and personality Making for an exciting rather than formulaic story. The space is always intense and on point very hot and steamy and of course they get a happily ever after. You also get to revisit characters from previous stories and see how they’re happily ever after continued to play out. I anxiously await the next book in the series as we were introduced to The beginning of that story in this one.

I LOVED Theo and Angelo even more than Frankie and Conall. The banter and revaluation between them. Also with the history that Theo has been pinning on Angelo since she was 15 but then that guy altering conversation that Angelo has with her that breaks her. And that hatred has come with her through adulthood or so she thought she hated him. But now that Angelo knows that Theo is his chosen wife he will do anything in his power to protect her even if she doesn’t think she needs or wants it. And Angelo has to come save her after she is taken captive and is trying to be sold by his mother. But in the rescuing act she is shot and now she is seeing a different side of Angelo that she didn’t think existed and that part is breaking down her walls. HE feels for her but before anything can happen, she needs to choose HIM. She thinks she has but he needs that validation that she wants this and him. The night she does choose him everything between them. He finally asks her to marry him with the most beautiful diamond. They admit their love to one another even though we have all known Theo has loved Angelo for forever she just didn’t want to admit it. They get their happy ever after.
But what will come with Ilias and Galena, will she be safe and will they get the love that the others have grown into?.
