Caladrius is a stunning debut from Madison J. Wright. Her writing style lent an extra level of intrigue to the easy flow of the story. The main character is a strong and rational girl with a fierce love for those close to her, making it easy to connect with and root for her. The slow-burn, will they/won’t they connection between Fallon and the aloof, but mysterious guy from Ecaroth keeps you on the edge of your seat just as much as her journey through a dangerous new world in her race to save her mother. As the story unfolds, more and more secrets are revealed until Fallon questions everything she’s ever known, ending on a note that leaves you begging for Book 2 immediately.
