Fresh out of graduate school, she's determined to build her career without getting tangled in school politics, messy breakups, or situations that end in HR meetings. Playing it safe has worked so far, and Tatum intends to keep her head down and focus on what she's worked so hard to achieve.

Enter Hayden Carter — recently divorced, frustratingly confident, and the gym teacher everyone knows by name. He's charming, arrogant, and precisely the kind of complication Tatum doesn't need. Hayden doesn't do relationships, and Tatum has no interest in becoming another story whispered in the staff lounge.

But when a work trip forces proximity neither of them planned for, the line between professionalism and temptation blurs. What starts as a temporary escape from routine quickly becomes something more challenging to ignore and harder to walk away from.

Back in the real world, reality hits fast. Expectations resurface. Boundaries are tested. And Tatum is faced with a choice she's avoided for far too stay quiet and safe, or finally risk wanting more — in her career, her relationships, and for herself.

Hi! I’m Sienna. A Canadian girlie from Southwestern, Ontario.

I wire angsty, banter-filled slow burns with unforgettable characters, magnetic tension, and a full dose of drama on the road to happily ever after.
Because the best love stories fight their way to forever, and make you feel every second of it.

I started writing because my brain doesn’t come with an off switch, and turning my trauma into fiction was cheaper than therapy, although I still do the therapy thing, don’t worry. When the Ice Breaks is my debut novel, and it’s as much about falling in love as it is about falling apart. If you’ve ever loved someone so much it hurt, that one’s for you.
I started writing when I was twelve—Harry Potter fan fiction specifically if we’re being honest (and we are)—I had no idea what I was doing, but I knew how it made me feel: free, curious, and completely hooked. From there, I never really stopped.

Writing became the place I went when I didn’t know how to say things out loud. The one constant through every season of my life. through every change, heartbreak, and period of healing. A hobby that started started as fan fiction, slowly turned into original stories scribbled in notebooks, and eventually became something I couldn’t imagine not doing.

It’s how I process the world. And now, it’s how I tell stories that might make someone else feel a little less alone.

And I am so grateful to be here with you.

Tatum has just finished her master’s degree and is starting her first full time teaching job. Determined to set herself up for success, and not make waves, she plans to keep her head down and focus on her students. What she didn’t plan for was catching the eye of Hayden, the hot gym teacher, before she even made it into the building. With a reputation that preceedes him, the last thing Tatum wants is to be another cautionary tale, so she does her best to keep him at arms length.

When chaperoning a school trip forces them to share a cabin (and bed), they finally give in to temptation. While everything seems perfect in their little cabin bubble, their return to the real world comes with unexpected surprises and Tatum finds herself faced with an impossible choice.

Considering how much I loved the author’s debut, When the Ice Breaks, I’m definitely not surprised with how much I loved this one. While in a whole different genre, her ability to make you fall in love with a character right from the beginning, will make it impossible for you to put this one down. The banter between Tatum and Hayden is adorable, and her friend group (aka the enabling squad) adds another layer of hilarity to the story. While their chemistry is off the chart, it’s the little moments between them that truly make you fall in love with them as a couple.

If you’re looking for a short and sweet romantic comedy, this novella packs full length novel energy in only 150 pages.

Sienna knows how to write a romance, that’s for sure! Get you an author who can do both, honestly, it’s the best. Sweet & spicy or devastating & spicy? She slayed both.

Tatum & Hayden were adorable. Their banter was again, top tier. Both of their characters were relatable, funny, and wholely entertaining. Sienna’s immaculate writing style really makes you fall in love with her characters and beg for more. Believe me, I’m always in her dms 😘I loved this novella & honestly wish it were longer so that I can swoon longer 🤍
