Rate this book
When an arsonist and murderer destroys a home he is trying to sell, real estate agent, Eagle Boyd wants answers. He hires Jayden Rosenthals' P.I. firm to find them. As the son of a Cherokee chief, Eagle's turned his back to all things mythical and other. He likes concrete facts and tangible truths.

Even though Jayden Rosenthal is a psychic, her powers couldn't prepare her for her new client, Eagle Boyd. A frustrating skeptic, Eagle embodies everything Jayden had fought her entire life to avoid. Still, she'd drawn to him.

Jayden and Eagle must join together to find an arsonist and murderer. First, they have to discover the truth within each other.

Excerpt:
“Oh, you’re not innocent. Not one bit.”

Jayden gasped. “What-what do you mean by that?”

He couldn’t stop himself as his hands cupped her cheek. Her skin was soft, and her full lips parted in surprise at his action. What had come over him? She frowned as she removed his hand from her face.

Shit. Did he whimper at the loss of contact?

“Look, I know you feel responsible for the house’s burning.” Jayden hugged herself again. “But there was something evil in your house. You said your living room was vandalized.”

It shook him back to the reality of the situation. “You can read me now?”
Jayden gave him a slow look from his shoes to his face. “Anyone can read you right now. Perfectly, I might add.”

“All right. I feel responsible,” he confessed, and tried not to think about whether or not she spied the hardening of his phallus in his slacks. Not that he had issues getting women into his bed, but Jayden brought a mixture of everything he had fought against his whole life—a glimpse into another world he’d denied even existed. She could be connected to the very fire that destroyed Gavin’s home, and she could be a suspect in vandalizing his own house.

This intoxicating woman of contradictions and salvation held him spellbound. He couldn’t deny that any longer.

With a psychic, hot Cherokee Indian & mystery, "Psychic Flames" had a seemingly perfect recipe to win me over.

Jayden is a beautiful psychic tasked with solving the who and why of an arson for real estate agent Eagle Boyd. While they work together to solve the mystery, neither can ignore the smoldering fire that has ignited from their mutual attraction. However, the secrete Eagle is keeping could destroy more than the trust they are building.

Unfortunately, the love I could have felt was lost by a story that jumped around too quickly to allow for truly getting immersed in the story.  The plot felt rusted and soo much was left on the table for character development. Most disappointing, the ending felt incomplete and I finished the story with unanswered questions.

The potential of Psychic Flames was truly there.  Even with missing development, characters Jayden and Eagle were likable and interesting. If the missing chapters (at least that's what it felt like) are ever added, I would definitely be interested in reading again!
