Amara’s Vow is one of those stories that sticks with you. Amara’s strength and determination make you root for her from the very first page. The writing is beautiful, the emotions feel real, and the message about hope and keeping your promises really hits home. It’s an uplifting, heartfelt read that leaves you feeling inspired.
This book was great! It's deep and silly emotional, and I was fully hooked from the beginning. I stayed engaged the entire time and will continue thinking about this world and it's characters long after finishing. All of the characters we got to spend the most time with were relatable and easy to connect to. They are witty and sarcastic and loving and curious, and so well realized. The magic in the world was super interesting, as well as the history of the lands. I'm very intrigued to learn more about the island, Insulae Mortis, and its people in future books. It usually takes me a little bit to fully commit to a book and get past the first few chapters, but I picked this up at the beginning of the week and finished it before the weekend! Absolutely had my attention and interest :)
The only reasons this isn't getting 5 stars from me are because of some of the technical issues, and a little bit of the pacing towards the end. There are some small inconsistencies (no plot holes though), and some consistent grammatical errors. I will also mention that there aren't standard chapters- this book is broken up into 6 parts (not a complaint, just something to note). As for the pacing element, the last third of the book just felt a tad rushed to me. But we still get all the necessary information to have a satisfying ending
If you care about those few critiques, know that before you go in. If those things don't bother you or you're reading purely for vibes, I'm sure you'll have a great time immersing yourself in this world <3 Definitely recommend
Amara’s Vow hooked me from the first page. Amara, a deadly mercenary, defies orders and refuses to kill a princess she was hired to kill. This sparks a relentless chase through wolf-shifter territory, a king’s retalliation and the mysterious island of Insulae Mortis. You’ll have to die into this five star read to figure out what happens next. 😉
Amara herself is the perfect FMC. A blend of fierce, witty, and loyal. Magic, high-stakes adventure, unexpected romance, and rebellion. Perfect for lovers of fated mates, forced proximity, and of course the one bed trope.
Amara’s Vow pulled me in from the very first page. Amara is such a fierce and complex heroine as tough as steel but with a heart that makes you root for her every step of the way. The mix of high-stakes action, wolf-shifters, and dark secrets kept me hooked, and the world-building around Insulae Mortis was both haunting and beautiful. I especially loved how the story explored loyalty, sacrifice, and what it truly means to choose your own path. By the end, I didn’t just read about Amara’s journey I felt like I lived it with her. A must-read for fans of epic fantasy and strong female leads!
