Rate this book
This collection of essays approaches the topic of BALTIC CITIES and urban change from a variety of perspectives. Brief overviews are given of the economic, infrastructural and historical aspects and particuarities of the city regions in the area. The focus is on the 'post-socialist' cities of the eastern Baltic, and in series of in-depth studies more important Baltic cities such as St. Ptersburg, Tallinn, and Riga are scrutinized in more detail, at the same time also reflecting the attempts among scholars and practitioners to reconsider the uran agenda in a time of transition.
