Luna never imagined she’d be raising her daughter alone—or that the weight of postpartum depression would become her constant shadow. Years later, when her ex returns and a battle erupts, Luna finds herself spiraling. One devastating mistake changes the course of her life forever.
Didi grows up with a hole in her heart and questions her grandparents can’t answer. Why did her mother never come back? As an adult, she sets off in search of truth, carrying the silence of the past with her. In time, she builds a quiet, joyful life of her own, far from the pain she was born into.
But when Didi returns to the rugged Cornish coast with her partner and child, the ghosts of her history stir once more. A quiet, watching presence emerges online—no words, no contact. Just the unmistakable sense of being seen.
Is it ever too late for healing? For forgiveness? Could love still exist in the spaces between?
A tender, bittersweet novel about motherhood, mental health, memory, and the long, quiet journey back to one another. Perfect for readers who love emotionally rich fiction about family, identity, and second chances.
