An Amish widow. A quiet craftsman. A marriage built on hope—and tested by fear.
After years of silence and scars, Levi Fischer has built a peaceful life far from the harsh upbringing that shaped him. He’s a man of few words, steady hands, and one deep he’ll never repeat the mistakes of the past.
Emma Yoder has known heartbreak. Orphaned young, widowed young and still waiting for the family she’s always longed for, she’s finally ready to open her heart again—especially to the gentle man who sees her as more than what she’s lost.
Their marriage begins with kindness and care, but Levi holds back a part of himself—a part shaped by shadows he cannot yet name. When Emma discovers she’s expecting, joy and fear collide. Levi must confront the past he’s never spoken of… or risk losing the future they’ve only just begun to build.
Tender, emotional, and full of quiet strength, The Legacy is a deeply moving story of love, faith, and the courage to choose healing over fear.
Trigger Warning; This story includes references to past childhood abuse and domestic violence. These elements are not graphically described and are treated with care and sensitivity as part of the healing journey.
I enjoyed this book. It was a different way of telling a story of overcoming the fear of becoming an angry man who threatens his wife and son. When Levi ran away from his issues for 2 weeks . He learned from the elders that he had several people behind him to learn that he could ask for help.
