I really wanted to love this omegaverse romance, but there was not even a sprinkle of plot or push and pull between the pack and the fmc. It literally goes they meet, they realize their scent matches, she goes into heat, and they f*ck. That's the entirety of the book. There's not a morsel of connection or emotion outside of attraction and it was so boring. Where was the tension? Where was the filming plot? Where was the storyline? I'm just so disappointed.

This is my first Kayla Grosse novel—she is writing under Kay Lynn here—so it felt fitting to jump in with her first omegaverse. This is only my second omegaverse book, but Lights, Camera, Knot is a great starter for people like me because Grosse went out of her way to really document every aspect of how omegaverse functions and it helped me keep track of things!
I really enjoyed the characterizations of each character. I sometimes feel like why choose, poly, or, in this case, omegaverse books that are also multi-POV become challenging for me to feel connected to each character or feel like they’re distinctive enough from each one another. That was very much not the case here; the pack dynamics were interesting and very layered, and the pack not only felt unique, they also had their own unique relationships with one another within the pack. While I still find the concept of alphas/betas/omegas fascinating, I think this book alone did leaps and bounds in making me ~get it~.
I wish there had been more romance and yearning among the group. I felt like I was being told that that romance and yearning was present but it wasn’t being shown to me through their thoughts and actions. As a matter of fact, for most of the book, I felt like so much of the spice/the omega being in heat felt very clinical to the point that it wasn’t hot for me until I spoke to a friend who also received an ARC and she suggested reading the very clinical “he’s going to do x, is that okay?” “I’m going to put this here and then he’s young to do y, understand?” as consent check-ins and not the crew-standing-around-on-a-movie-set-during-a-sex-scene vibes I felt initially and that helped so much! I wish I understood what the movie was about because I was really intrigued about the on-set accommodations for omegas and the importance of why an omega specifically was needed for the role. Also, I remain unclear about whether or not there were other species or even human beings in this world outside of alphas, omegas, and betas, but that is in no way important to the story!

I have always loved Kayla Grosse's books so when I heard she was doing an omegaverse romance book I was sooo excited and this one did not disappoint! It's fun and sweet and also so so spicy!!! I would have loved for this to have been longer and I really hope Kay Lynn will give us more from these characters! I can't wait for book two!!!

I’m so happy that Kay enter the omegaverse, and I enjoyed this book so much, it did have a few moments where I found kinda repetitive but overall had an amazing time with the story, I enjoyed so much her word games like “knotting hill”, also surprised to see she included a fellow Mexican character 🇲🇽.
Overall Augie was my man, I wan him and I knew he would be the best cuddler 😏🫶🏼✨

Holy smokes. This is hot AF (obviously) but it is so incredibly well written. I would recommend this to anyone that loves Omega tales. But, more than that: I think this would be my first recommendation to anyone that wanted to try the omegaverse. Mainly because it’s so clear and concisely written.
There’s clear lines and plot. The dialogue is easy to follow. The characters are clearly defined. And, the opening of the book lays out the foundation in an easy to digest manner. It’s great for those that want to dip their toes in this area. And, one hell of a story for us old hats.
The progression and pacing were tight and held you locked into everything that was happening. When I say I loved it… Hell yea I mean it. The characters were terrific. I love our pack and our dear omega/Iris.
No notes. No quirks. Nada.

I’m a huge fan of Kayla’s work and of omegaverse, so I was so excited to receive this ARC. If you’re looking for a high spice intro to omegaverse, this is the perfect read for you. It works as a strong introduction to the genre with introductions and explanations to the standard elements woven into the narrative seamlessly (there’s also an introduction that includes this info).
Pack Quinn is a fantastic group of three alphas and a beta. Each alpha has a distinct personality and preferences (honestly, a lot of large omegaverse groups are so messy, it can be hard to see where they differ at times), but my personal favorites were Mateo and Augie (the beta) who have a mating bond of their own. For me, they really provided the emotional core of the story, and it shone through in their scenes with Iris.
Iris is a bit of a messy FMC, making career decisions that leave her Omega absolutely desperate for caretaking. And the desperation truly shines, especially when her heat hits.
The bulk of the book is one long heat, and I have absolutely no problem with a lot of spice, but there wasn’t much tension or plot to go along with jt.

ARC Review- This was a spicy Omegaverse filled with affection and raw animalistic need! I feel like the personalities of the Quinn pack balance each other out perfectly! There’s Wilder, the dominant Alpha, Mateo, the playful Alpha, Jett, the protective Alpha, and Augie, the calming Beta. Then you throw in Iris, the sassy yet obedient Omega and everyone has everything they could ever want! All the mentions of everyone’s scents made me want a strawberry cocktail with lemon, mint, basil and honey. I love that this author always has a plus size FMC, it spreads love and acceptance for bodies with a little more on them to enjoy. If you’re looking for your next Omegaverse book, then look no further!!

Smut and spice and all the knots. Sometimes I really just want allll of the nasty knotty spiciness that comes from an omegaverse book. And this one delivered. Don’t get me wrong, yes the plot was very minimal but it is a shorter book and my girl went into heat immediately. So I meannnnn realistically speaking, it was bound to be full of all of the filthy dirty spice. Lol I loved it for an I better book. Each MMC had me blushing the entire time. And the FMC was a plus size woman so I’m here for it.

I love an established pack looking to add an omega and seeing how they all work out the new pack dynamic. Iris Walker showed up to her first day on set and got way more than she bargained for. I can’t wait to read more of the Angel City Omegas!

I love sweet omegaverse stories and Kayla’s other books but every other sentence felt like it was about their biology and there wasn’t much else in terms of character development or plot, which was so disappointing as I was enjoying it! The potential is there but needs so much more development.

I’ll read anything Kayla writes, so I was especially excited to see her dive into Omegaverse and she did not disappoint! This was a quick, spicy, and super fun read that kept me hooked the whole time.

I’m so appreciative of Kay Lynn and her team for allowing me the opportunity to read this ARC and give an honest review.
This book was so amazing. With it being the author’s first omegaverse book, I didn’t know what to expect. But she delivered a super sweet story filled with lots of amazing spice! This super spicy book was amazing! I love a pack looking to find their missing piece and the chemistry that occurs when they find their Omega did not disappoint! I can’t wait to read more in the series!

What a super sweet, wonderful read! I was hooked on how Iris and the pack all felt the pull towards each other way before their scents even kicked in for their scent-matches.
The story mostly evolves around Iris’s unexpected heat on the Genesis Studios set and how the pack—Wilder (Director), Mateo (Cinematographer), August (Writer), and Jett (Actor)—help her through it, ensuring she’s safe and taken care of, along with being incredibly hot and steamy, and I couldn't get enough of them. Their eye contact emotion, not being able to pull their eyes off each other was so adorably intense, you could literally feel their connection as a reader, and this was even before their scents kick in for each of them. I especially really liked that the Beta, August, was the only one who really understood or listened to his inner voice early on—it's always great when one person understands what’s happening and pushes the rest of the pack to see it, I personally cherished that part!
The pack were so wonderful, each having their own distinct personality I absolutely adored. You can really feel how much the Quinn pack desperately wanted an Omega and how they would do absolutely anything to make Iris happy, ensuring she feels cherished in their devotion. Even though the story is mostly about the heat, you get a real feel for every character.
Iris has worked hard to establish her career as an omega actress, she tough and yet vulnerable at the same time. She’s pushed her heats off in lou of her career, which has left her more vulnerable now, with the added risk of being touch starved. Oh and her latest suppressant prescription has been denied! 😮
Augie (August) he was just an adorable Beta, especially with his years old crush he’s had on Iris, so sweet and gentle, an extremely supportive calming role for the pack.
Jett, our leading man, has a love for surfing and the outdoors. He is a gentle chilled alphas who is always there to listen, Iris’s compass in the dark.
Mateo, our Spanish speaking alpha. He’s like Wilder, in many ways, tough and intense, however with him what you see is what you get, but still as devoted to his pack and family, especially to Augie.
Wilder is fiercely loyal, protective of his pack and super dedicated and focused within his career. He intense, tough and kind of scary to everyone, all except for those he loves, then he’s a giant romantic softy.
Whilst August and Mateo are a bonded couple in a sexual relationship, the genuine, absolute devotion and utter love for each other within the pack really shines through. Mateo still helps his pack mates if needed when a rut takes hold, and Wilder, the Prime Alpha, was truly amazing. Even though Wylder’s Alpha was super strong, he didn’t push or dominate within his pack; he placed the others' needs before his own and even involved August in his rut, which was so refreshing beautifully to see.
A lovely twist I haven’t had before was the inner voices of their respective Alpha, Beta, or Omega. It was so unique to hear their actual instincts and wishes pushing to connect. I also thought it was fun how Iris’s Omega was so sweet and submissive, yet Iris herself was such a cheeky brat, pushing her pleasure doms!
Overall I can highly recommend this wonderful easy read, with fantastic characters, so many sweet moments and a super hot read!

I am a huge fan of this author and all of the books that she has written under her other pen name and I was so excited to dip my toes into the world of omegaverse with this book by her. I have to admit that I have not read many books in this specific sub genre, but I was excited to jump into the story because I was hooked by the premise, and I also love everything that this author writes. And I have to tell you, I loved every single second of this book. I am a huge fan of everything this author put into this book and I truly cannot say that enough!
This book was spicy as hell, it was written fantastically, it had characters that I felt instantly connected to. I loved that. I loved getting to see all of the dynamics that play with all of the different relationships and this bulk. I loved the fact that it was set in the world of Hollywood and that there was so much at stake for these characters. I loved that there was such connection between each of these characters and the relationships they all shared. I just loved how easy it was to be consumed in this world and in this story.
I truly loved every part of this book. And I have to say as someone who is fairly new to this sub genre of romance, I loved that Kay Lynn does the best job of not only explaining what is typical for omega
verse but also what is specific to this world and what she has created. I loved that and it felt so easy to jump right in and understand all of the pieces at play in this world and with these characters. I just loved every part of this book that I got with all of these characters. This story is fun, it’s spicy, it’s just incredible to read and experience. It was a book. I literally devoured him one sitting because I could not stop reading and I could not get enough of everything these characters shared. It perfectly balanced being fun and spicy, while also having a ton of heart to it and so much more.
I finished this book with my heart bursting for how much I loved all of these characters and honestly, I can’t wait for more! I would love to read more about this specific pack in the future, but I would also love to read whatever else this author comes up with because she just has such a way with words. The way that she envelops you within everything she creates, the way you just feel right in the thick of our stories, and the way that you’re just so consumed, it all is truly the best. I’ve experienced that in every book I’ve had the pleasure of reading by her, and this one was no different!
This is another must read from this author and honestly, I cannot wait to see what she explores more within this series and this whole world. I loved every single bit of Lights, Camera, Knot and I have my fingers crossed that we will see more of these characters in the future, because I truly was not ready to let them all go. The level of heart and connection they all share, the dynamics that play, and the fun and spice they get into while also feeling so much for each other is truly the best in this book, and I loved every single word of it!

As an avid omegaverse reader, I was very excited to hear that an author I love (Kayla Grosse) decided to write her first omegaverse (she wrote it under a different pen name), and I can say wholeheartedly, if you like her other work but are worried about dipping your toes into OV, this is a good one to start with. This feels like a Kayla Grosse book first and foremost, but the spice is extra spicy because most of the story takes place during the Omega (FMC Iris)’s heat. Don’t worry if you don’t know all of the OV terminology, she explains it before the story starts and it’s pretty easy to pick up on it as you read. This is a high-heat story that is low angst and low stakes. There is zero other man/woman drama, the pack is already formed before they meet the FMC, and there is no third act breakup. If you like fated mates and MMCs who are obsessed with the FMC, I think you’ll like this one.
Iris is an actress getting ready to start filming for her dream role. The director, cinematographer, writer, and the lead actor she is staring alongside are all a pack, they are just missing their Omega (and have been waiting to find their scent match, which is rare in this world). However, right before Iris goes on set she finds out that her doctor refuses to give her the heat suppressants she needs to be able to work, and despite her best efforts as soon as she meets the men, they realize they’re scent matched mates and her heat begins. This is a multi-POV book, and I loved getting to know each of the characters as the story progressed. At no point did the men start to blend together, they all have distinct mannerisms and personalities, and they are all so sweet with Iris and just want to keep her forever, even though they just met.
I love a good bonding scene and epilogue, and this story delivered on both. I love that we got to see multiple POVs during the bonding and each pack member gets their moment, because even though they are a pack unit, there are individual relationships within that unit. The epilogue was spicy and fun, and I always just love seeing couples/packs/relationships happy in the future after their main story ends. I enjoyed this one quite a bit and would love to read more OV stories by this author in the future!
