Whewwww this was a ride. I said it during my My King review, but I'll say it again....I'm obsessed with Conrad's POV. Annabell is great, but Conrad is amazing.
I loved how in My Evil we got Annabell's POV, and then a bit into Conrad's past and some of book 1 for My King. And then My Darkness is us catching up to the rest of My Evil's events with more Conrad POV. I thought this was a fun and creative way to get fully up to speed!
This was definitely the spiciest of the 3 so far, but even so, it still felt like it advanced the plot throughout.
Past characters return, new ones are introduced, and so much more mystery unfolds.
My Darkness ended in just as much of a bang as My Evil and My King, so I'll just wait over here very impatiently for the next installment!

So grateful to be able to ARC read for Dahlia again!!
Oh Conrad…your POV again, mostly, and I’m not mad about it! This one answered a lot and still left so much unanswered!! I’m intrigued to get to book 4!! Per usual there was a cliffhanger that is driving me crazy!
Conrad: what can I say, you are a naughty thing with the most protective qualities!
Annabell: the growth with her has been so interesting! She was so shy and timid at first with book one and in this one, well, she came into her own that’s for sure!
The spice was spicing, no doubt about that! The mystery is thrilling. We get more about Conrad in this one and his job at the office, I enjoy that aspect of learning more about him and who he actually is and what he does.
Book 4 will finish out the series and I’m excited to see where the story goes from here! To see if the one leaving me wondering is who I think it is or not.

Wow, so many words and feels with book 3.
As I've said in my other reviews, this is not a stand-alone alone, you need to read books 2 and 3 to understand what is going on.
There was so much character development between Conrad and Annabelle but then on their own as well. This one was definitely the darkest book I think of all 3. but rightfully so. I don't want to give too much away as so much happens and it's amazing. It wrapped up so many stories and questions you had from the other 2 books, because it all circles back. That's what I love about this series, you read the same scene several times, but from many different views or times. It's amazing!
If you want a seriously morally grey MMC, and an amazing 3-book series (book 4 coming) this series is for you. Pick it up, you won't be disappointed!

Oh my goodness! This book was amazing! Once you start you will be sucked in and done before you realize it. There is so many "oh my goodness" moments that you did not see coming. I love how protective Conrad is of her and the baby. Be prepared for edge of your seat moments also. Definitely read this series and be prepared for a cliffy. Also that desk moment was hot af iykyk! Happy Reading Everyone!

My Darkness is book three of the In The Shadows Series and you must read them in order to be able to follow the story. I absolutely love the bonded relationship that Conrad and Annebell have!! They refuse to let anyone come between them and Conrad always makes sure those who try are taken care of. I think these two have become my favorite book couple!! I look forward to their final book!!!

Well that was full of secrets and spice and I loved it. I could not put the book down and I needed to know what was going to happen. Even though somethings were answered there are still things I don’t have answers for and I need those. I can’t wait for the next book.

A captivating continuation of the “In the Shadows” series by Dahlia Dempsey. This is book 3 and I cannot wait for Book 4. Conrad King is just as delicious as he was in the first two books

This is book 3 in the series and MUST be read in order.
I loved book 2 (My King) so much because we finally got to see Conrad's POV. And this book I loved because it was both his and Annabell's. There is just something about that unhinged man's POV that makes me feral.
This book is a spicy rollercoaster of emotions. And as with all rollercoasters, it ends too quickly, I need more. There are still so many questions I need answered. I can't wait for book 4

Dahlia keeps doing it! I love reading Conrad's POV. The love between Conrad and Annabelle is messy, obsessive, and deeply human. Every twist, heartbreak, and every moment of redemption I felt.
There's still so many questions we need answers to and I can't wait to read book 4!
