A single moment on a foreign rooftop changes everything.
When a diplomatic crisis erupts at a Russian embassy in Athens, a young U.S. Air Force officer is thrust into a high-stakes negotiation that will define her future. What begins as a suicide intervention quickly exposes a web of betrayal, power, and political danger that stretches far beyond a single life on the ledge.
Sent to elite crisis-negotiation training at Quantico, she is forced to confront not only the darkest corners of human behavior, but the unresolved trauma that drives her relentless need to save others. As international tensions rise and a hidden predator closes in, her skills are tested in ways no classroom could prepare her for.
Inspired by real-world crisis intervention and military experience, Crisis Calling is a gripping military and psychological thriller that explores the cost of service, the power of empathy, and the thin line between order and chaos. Perfect for fans of intense military thrillers, political suspense, and strong female protagonists, this novel delivers heart-pounding realism with emotional depth that lingers long after the final page.
This book was recommended to me by another Marine. We should be so lucky to have someone as dedicated as this team on our base watching our six. Look forward to the next installment.
I enjoyed the book. Specifically how the author gave credit where it was due and how there was following up to end the chapter so the readers weren’t left hanging. I’ll be watching for the second book.
This popped up in my fiction genre recommendations but after reading the reviews I saw where someone stationed with the author claimed knowledge of events in the book and cover ups. I do enjoy the government being called out and this author did not disappoint while staying true to the message and out of politics.
Thank you Benny for sending over this book recommendation. My wife and I were stationed here during some of these incidents. Though the names have been changed to protect namely the brass who were guilty and covered up their buddies crimes or mistakes, this book should go viral. Excellently written and outing of the truth on Joint Base Fannin.
After reading this book, I found the author on social media to ask questions. Surprisingly, she responded fairly quickly and pleasantly. I will not spoil it for other readers, but wow our military needs something. Help would be an understatement. I enjoyed there being a new plot with ever chapter and a new twist on almost ever page. Bravo Dana Modano, I hope there is a book two!
Excellent book. Gives a glimpse of what our military has to deal with. Give it a try, you wont be disappointed. I hope Dana Modano writes more like this. Semper Fi
