4.75 ⭐️ QUICK, INTENSE & UTTERLY CONSUMING

One thing about Kat King? Her work never dissapoints. I’m always in awe of how her mind works in every one of her books. How she never fails to make me feel through her storytelling.

This is my first sapphic read & I was captivated. It’s fast paced, yet not a single thing feels rushed or missing. Everything flows seamlessly, every piece falls exactly where it should.

A story of fated mate’s love that is quick yet intense. How fast & fierce their love burned. That push and pull, the hesitation that melts into something they can’t fight. You feel it. The tension, the tenderness, the way it consumes & softens at the same time.

A raw & addictive kind of love.

It’s was an amazing first Sapphic romance read for me! ❤️

I’m looking forward to what the future holds for this series!

I lived for faith and Ophelia.

You have Faith, a human hunter wanting to go after Ophelia, one of the vampires, who she thinks killed her parents. But the truth leader comes out that’s not what happened. And when the two of them meet something forms. Which is a mate bond between two.

Faith is obviously going through some trauma in this book with her parents dying, trying to find who killed them, and then turning into a vampire and having to deal with that. On top of also having a mate in this world.

Ophelia has been locked up in her house for 200+ years because she doesn’t have her daylight bracelet, she hasn’t had much interaction with people. And this human hunter comes along and they make a deal. But she accidentally ends up, turning her and finds out that those two are mates. And now she’s having to deal with that, on top of taking care of her siblings.

Both of them are definitely going through some stuff in this book and then when they meet that all clashes up together

This book gives off very much the mikaelson family from the vampire diaries. With how Ophelia and her siblings are the very first vampires to exist because of a witch, an immortal one at that.

So I will say, if you are a big fan of the Mikaelson and family from the originals, you will definitely get that feel while this.

I really liked how this book focused more on the relationship rather than intimacy between the two characters.

I will say, I wish this book was longer because it did feel rushed. And I felt like the relationship between Ophelia and Faith could be discovered and written more. As well as getting a deeper dive into the two characters and learning more about them rather than just normal things. But that’s really my only criticism in the book.

I will say if what I’m thinking is true and each book is a different sibling, I’m really excited for Lucifer’s book because I think it’s gonna be Lucifer and Yvonne. And that will be very interesting to read about.

But I will say this book was pretty interesting to read about, and I’m excited for the rest of the series to come out. If you’re wanting a quick, sapphic, vampire book. This would be the one I would recommend.

Faith is a hunter on a mission, to find the vampire who brutally murdered her parents. But it’s not as easy as she thinks because Ophelia is one of the Sacred Seven, a powerful group of vampires cursed with eternal life. So when Ophelia and Faith finally meet and Ophelia’s heart suddenly starts beating again, a transformative moment takes place and it becomes clear that their encounter is nothing short of extraordinary.

This was a quick read but boy did it leave an impact! I’m usually an MF girly, but for Kat I was more than willing to step outside my usual and take a leap of faith, and wow, was it worth it.

“There’s no one else I’d rather spend the rest of eternity with.”

Faith was a force to be reckoned with. She’s been through so much after losing her parents, yet she’s grown into this strong and empowered woman. And of course, she was the perfect match for our eternal vampire Ophelia, who turned out to be such a sweetheart once we got to know her. I really loved these two together; it felt like watching a mature relationship unfold. No drama, no silly miscommunication, just something pure, steady, and deeply loving.

Kat has such a talent for writing because it’s not easy to build a world, characters, and an entire relationship in such a short amount of time, yet that’s exactly what she did so beautifully here. This was a completely new genre for me, a definite step outside my reading comfort zone, and it worked so well. I think this is my gateway into a whole new world of stories. The vibe was hauntingly moody and dark yet sensual, setting such a steamy, immersive tone.

“Your body, mind, and soul. It’s all mine, little hunter. Forever.”

And I have to say, I’m already looking forward to the rest of the Sacred Seven siblings getting their own books. Valerio totally stole my heart. Kat, I don’t know how you keep creating these amazing characters and worlds, but it’s always such a rewarding experience to see it all unfold with every release.

All Faith wanted was to find the vampires who killed her parents and bring them to justice. But everything changes when she discovers that the vampire responsible for her greatest tragedy is none other than Ophelia D’Achille — one of the Sacred Seven, one of the oldest and most untouchable vampires alive. With eyes as red as blood and a presence that commands both fear and fascination, Ophelia is everything Faith has been taught to hate. Yet a trip to Transylvania unravels secrets long buried, and Faith soon realizes that nothing about her past — or her heart — is as it seems. Now she must choose between herself and her obsession, knowing that whichever path she takes, a piece of her soul will be lost.

This was a short, fast-paced read, and my first time diving into a sapphic story, which made the experience even more intriguing. I really enjoyed the gothic, almost haunting atmosphere — the dark castles, the Transylvanian setting, and the simmering tension between Faith and Ophelia. The author did a great job of weaving mystery and emotion together, making me curious about what would be revealed next.

Faith’s determination and pain felt real, and I liked how her character developed as she faced truths she wasn’t ready to confront. Ophelia, on the other hand, was fascinating — cold, commanding, and layered in a way that made you want to understand her, even when you knew you shouldn’t. Their dynamic carried that perfect mix of danger and attraction that kept me hooked.

I found the book enjoyable and engaging. It’s the kind of read that makes you want to know more about the world and its secrets.

Overall, Crimson Devotion was an intriguing start, and I’m definitely looking forward to reading about Ophelia’s siblings and seeing how their stories unfold in the rest of the series.

Faith was a vampire hunter, who was on a mission to eradicate all the vampires out there. She chose this profession to seek revenge. Her parents were brutally murdered by a vampire and she had no idea who the vampire was. The only clue left behind was an ancient gold bracelet. After a thorough research Faith understood that these bracelets were owned by 7 of the oldest vampire siblings and one of them killed her parents. But even after hunting them down for years, Faith hasn't come across the vampire siblings.
Finally one day she meets Valerio, one of the 7 siblings and he easily lets her know who the owner of the bracelet was. It belonged to Ophelia who was one of the strongest vampires on earth. Valerio, who had a thing for instigating chaos also informs her that Ophelia lived in Romania. Without a second thought Faith packs her bags and flies to Romania in search of Ophelia. Will Faith quench the fire of her wrath? Will she find Ophelia?

Read Crimson Devotion to find out.

My Note: Thank you Kat King for sending an Arc copy of this masterpiece. When I heard that this book was going to be a vampire story, I honestly was a little sceptical cuz we have read and watched many variations of it. And I was like what new concept could they introduce to a vampire story, but as a huge Kat King fan I trusted her writing and she didn't disappoint. The story was top notch and the concept was really really amazing and fresh. I was hooked from the very first chapter. I honestly couldn't keep the book down. Each and every character was written beautifully. And the FMCs were badass. I devoured this book in a day and I can't wait to read the next part. I absolutely enjoyed reading this and I hope you guys will enjoy it too.

Crimson Devotion by Kat King — Dark, Addictive, and Unapologetically Bold

Kat King delivers a wickedly captivating tale with Crimson Devotion, the story of Faith, a fierce vampire hunter bent on avenging her parents, and Ophelia, the very kind of creature she’s sworn to destroy. What begins as a mission driven by rage and loss twists into something darker and far more dangerous when Faith herself becomes the thing she hates most—a vampire.

This book is everything I want in a dark lesbian romance: it’s sharp, moody, and hauntingly sensual. The push and pull between vengeance and desire is deliciously addictive, and the fated mates twist adds a layer of inevitability that makes their connection impossible to resist.

The spice hits at a solid 3/5—intense, passionate, and well-placed without overtaking the story. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the scenes are steamy enough to satisfy while still leaving room for the emotional weight of their bond.

I loved the world Kat King built here—the danger, the longing, the forbidden pull between hunter and monster. My only complaint? I wish it was longer. I wasn’t ready to let go of Faith and Ophelia when the final page came.

If you love dark sapphic romance with bite (literally), fated mates, and a balance of angst and heat, Crimson Devotion is a must-read.

Faith is going through a lot, let me tell you! She’s a vampire hunter on a mission to find the vampire who killed her parents—definite Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes. And when I say she’ll do anything for revenge, I mean it.

Now, I’ll be honest: I’m usually not a fan of F/F romances. But with this one? I didn’t mind it at all. The story flowed well and was a quick, enjoyable read. We got our questions answered fast, which kept the pace moving nicely.

Was it the most gripping, mysterious, or dark book I’ve read? No. But knowing how my girl Kat’s mind works, I can tell you right now—things are going to hit the fan in the next books! So, while this one landed at 3 honeypots for me (only because I wasn’t completely blown away), I have no doubt the series will build and get even better. And I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

OH MY GOSH. VERY LATE TO THE REVIEW BUT OH MY GOSH. WHY DIDN'T I FINISH THIS SOONERRRR.

Kat King, you did it again. Masterpieces after masterpieces. Crimson Devotion is a sapphic vampire soulmate or fated mates romance and OH MY GOD. This book was soo good. It was cute at times and also funny at times AND sad at times and so so HOT like 🥵🥵 I may have a tad bit (a huge) of a crush on both Faith and Ophelia 🤭

This is such an amazing novella. The kind that I wish it was longer but also the length was perfect. I can't wait for the rest of the series! Especially Lucifer's story since e don't know much about his personality here yet. I don't even know if my review makes sense rn cause I'm just riding high at how amazing this book was. Thank you Kat King for this beautiful blessing 🫡

Tropes:
• Dark romance,
• vampire × vampire hunter
• Fated mates
• Sapphic Romance
• Dual POV

The characters were soo well written 😩🤌🏻 I mean how can a novel with less than 150 pages is making me crave all the other books in the series 🥹 I want it ASAP 🛐

Faith, a vampire hunter is on a mission to kill the vampire who brutally murdered her parents. She finds out the vampire responsible for her parent's death is none other than Ophelia D'Achille.

Ophelia D'Achille, one of the scared seven, the oldest vampires alive (the first ones). She is everything you expect from a vampire, dangerous yet attractive. She finds faith in her mansion and now wants to keep her forever?

There's mystery, twists and most of all? Sexyy characters 🤭 Don't forget to read the TW❗

I love a good enemies to lovers, and mates type novel. This is a fast paced, and quick romance. There are going to be quite a few books in this series, but when you love an authors writing, you always wish you could read more about their characters. I love how we get a bit of the history of Ophelia's past so that we can kind of figure out what her siblings will be like. The interactions between Faith and the siblings that she has already met, leave me wanting to know more.

I cannot wait to read more about Ophelia's siblings, especially Lucifer. That second epilogue has me on my toes. I can tell there is going to be a lot of action in the next books.

it gripped me tightly and I needed to know where this fast burn romance was taking me. I can’t wait to see what kat does with the rest of the series.

3 stars. I liked the world building and the plot of a vampire hunter getting turned into a vampire but the romance between Faith (baby vamp, former vamp hunter) and Ophelia left so much to be desired. I just didn't buy their chemistry and I really was perplexed when they exchanged "I love you" to each other because it came out of nowhere and I wanted to see them bond more before then but this is a novella so I get it. The writing was really good and the spice was well done. I'd read book two whenever it comes out if it still follows these two.

I love me a vampire story, what I love more is a lesbian vampire story.
This isn’t the usual type of story I've gotten from Kat but I think she definitely needs ti tap in to the paranormal/fantasy romance genre. Cuz imma need a full sized novel.
Literally the only criticism I have for this is I wanted more. I needed it to be longer cuz I need to know more.

I enjoyed the plot and seeing how the different characters and I love Ophelia and faith’s relationship from enemies to this point of forced love then mating them I didn’t expect while the plot I feel as settled the story slower it picks up so much in details of family history by Ophelia’s family and also Yvette because wow.

A perfect novella! Ancient vampire Ophelia is mated to a human hunter, Faith, who wants to kill her as vengeance for murdering her parents. But did she? Fate is a tricky thing, especially when it involves the original seven vampires of the D’Achille family, the witch who cursed them, Faith & the academy of hunters she is from, and werewolves. I cannot wait to get more of the family’s stories!

Ooooh this is different from what Kat usually writes but I am here for it!

A sapphic, Vampire romance! Yes please!

"She's taking immense pleasure in being the cat in this game, and I'm her little mouse, confined in the trap she deliberately prepared for me."

Thoroughly enjoyed and hoping the series continues!

Worth a read

I really enjoyed this! It could have used another editing pass, but nothing that detracts from enjoyment of the book. The story is good and so are the spicy scenes. The only problem I had is not finding out why Faith's parents were killed. It felt like we were being led up to some big reveal and then...nothing. Maybe we'll get more in subsequent books.

If you are looking for a short vampire book this is for you. We have vampire hunter and she is looking for who killed her parents. She believes it's one of the 7 oldest vampire that live, because of a bracelet found under her mother. When she is sent to Romania we're she believes the person she is looking for is in that castle. Her life will be change for ever good and bad. She ends becoming a vampire, how you will have to read to find out. She does find out who killed her parents and it was not who she thought it was. Overall good short spicy book.

4.75 ☆.

Usually, I don't read vampire books but since it is written by Kat King, I did it in a heartbeat. At this point, Kat King became one of my favourite writers. Everything she writes, I liked.

This is a novella. Even though the storyline is short, I didn't feel the insta love vibes and that's great. I'm not a big fan of insta love tropes.

The world setting is well-done. You feel that you are inside a dark gothic castle, and a vampire is haunting you.

I liked Faith and Ophelia. Especially Faith. Her character development was chef kiss. In fact, she had to be ready to face her new future. On the other hand, Ophelia is that girl who radiates confidence and sexy vibes. Their dynamic was fascinating to see. I loved reading their scenes. You can feel their intensity every time they appear.

This book made me want so badly for the next book. The hype>>>>>.

If you are into haunting vampire castles and transylvanian vibes, this is for you.
