After reading PERMANENT OBSCURITY by Richard Perez, which touches on the whole femdom subculture thing, I was curious to read more. This book is well written. A nice collection of stories, but it's meant as erotica -- unlike PERMANENT OBSCURITY, which is dark comedy or a satire. This book is better than Elise Sutton, I'll say that, so I'm recommending it.

4.25* At 1st, after reading the introduction, I made a note "shocking; not ME" though I appreciated the part where she said these were shorts to explore a largely ignored & misunderstood sexuality. I guess that was part of what intrigued me; I like learning new perspectives & understanding people's choices, even if they are not mine.

So, I was pretty surprised at how good many of the shorts were (I'm sticking with shorts, because half of them were only intros to a story). Most pushed my boundaries, few were appealing...yet, many managed to present an alternate perspective adequately. It left me feeling like male submission weighs heavily on arousal from humiliation & pain & servitude (feeling unworthy), rather than on the giving up of control & having someone strong & perceptive enough to meet all of your needs (though some were both). I wonder if that is a true representation of male submission.

Too short for me to enjoy. Each story had about 6-10 pages. I like to be seduced when reading a book, this book went straight to the point, kinda like skipping to the main parts in porn. I like to connect with the characters before i read all about their sex life.

Being that it is a book of short stories you have to expect certain things (quick to the point, not character driven, etc). I found this to be too true in the case of these stories. This was my first foray into femdom focused stories. There weren't really many things that drew me in. I think it may be that the scenes were more like a compilation porn DVD that went "straight to the 'good' stuff" whereas the psychological build towards the scenes is something I prefer. The only story, in my opinion, that managed to do both was Andrea Dale's story "His Lady's Manservant". She was very successful in leaving me wanting for the story to be continued as a good short story should

There are some many different types of sub missives to cater to the needs of even the most demanding Mistress. FemDom and Domintrix are a couple types of well known female Domination. I am glad I found out the harsher side and the more emotionally exposed. I like seeing why someone would want to be a table ;).

The cover is awesome! My favorite story I can't recall at the moment. I set this book aside for a while. I am putting it on my keeper shelf and will edit this review accordingly. What I most enjoyed was the overall theme of male submission.

A mixed, but on the whole well worthwhile, bag of 18 stories offering delightfully assertive females and various methodologies to exert their wills. It didn't feel extreme, but then I'm not an extremist, and though a few of the tales were not quite up my street, most were very rewarding and imaginative, with the writing never failing to be of good quality. Particular favorites were those from Ellen Tevault, Lee Ash, Rachel Bussel Kramer (leading by example), George Cross, Andrea Dale and Kristina Wright.

Another compliation from R.K. Bussel, better than "She's on Top", and there was nothing wrong with that compliation. I prefer "Yes Ma'am" selection, as they are overall more intense stories/situations than "She's on Top", but not too extreme, to put off the general reader. The stories in "She's On Top" are from the perspective of the Dominant Woman, these in "Yes Ma'am" are from the other side of the coin, the submissive male point of view.
As an introduction to Fem Dom, the stories are fiction, but something similar could, and probably has, happened to more than one submissive male, for the pleasure of both parties. The stories, will also get the readers own imagination going, and hopefully encourage the reader to bring their fantasy's to life.
No bad selections here, just some better than others. Stand outs for me are, in no particular order:
"Exhibit A", "A different kind of reality show", "An invitation to the dance", "I1t u 2 do sumfim 4 me" and "Secretary's day".
This is a good set of stories, to read and appreciate, one at a time, or tear through one after the other, which I suspect most readers will do, and go back for more.
There are a lot of things to try, and indulge in, if you and your partner feel so inclined. Enough material for quite a few adventures.

A great collection of stories featuring male submission, right up my street really, some appealed more to my tastes than others, particularly Rope Burn, Flash and It's Cold Outside, but all were well-written and imaginative pieces which certainly gets the reader thinking! - 9.5/10.

Short story collection. As usual, some were better than others. Some stories fell flat due to the short length but overall it was a decent selection.

I didn’t enjoy this book all that much, “A Different Kind of Reality Show” was okay until the end of that chapter when he started talking about taking “my space”? Like what was that about??

I just kept reading even though I wasn’t enjoying it, but then “It’s Cold Outside” began… the character in this chapter went on and said that he had a fetish of black women… and later on when I read this “I was sleeping when Serena came in.” I knew some messed up shit was going to happen. And it did. That’s when I stopped reading because what the hell?
