I would like to thank K.C. McMillian and Goodreads for sending me a copy of this book. Is Love Enough was such a great book to read. This is Book Two Love and Reign and I want to go back and read Book One and all of the following books. Reign Amara Brown and Dion Atom James are in love and in a committed relationship that began when she hired him to be her date, fake dating, but turned into real love. Reign has a lot going on in her life with relocating her boutique as an event planner for weddings handling appointments, bookings and vendor meetings. Dion mainly does commercials but is trying to get a break as a successful actor but knows the road to becoming a successful actor is paved with rejections. Reign has several friends who are successful and professional. They plan a couples Valentine's Day trip together. Reign has family and she is worried about her sister Skylar who is recently married and starting to act withdrawn and not like herself. Reign is daddy's girl but has family problems with a mother who doesn't like her and her Aunts' husband did something bad to her 20 years earlier. I liked the way Reign stated from the start that you don't have to put up with family that is poisonous to your life. This book has romance, drama, action, spice and addresses questions about loyalty, love, self respect and worth and the power of healing. I highly recommend that you buy, gift, but most importantly read this book that has romance and a beautiful story with heart and substance. I know I loved the spice, drama and bond between Reign and Dion. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

This wasn't just a romance story. This was an experience. There's emotion, passion, healing, drama, Black history and Black joy. It was about two individuals overcoming their own obstacles while navigating a new relationship. I enjoyed the first book but this one was so much better and emotional. I loved it!

This was a fantastic read. I loved it. I could relate to Reign and her family dynamics or lack thereof. It's crazy how much I saw myself in this story.
The drama, action, and the spice was all done perfectly too. Great book!

This, listen! The Love & Reign series continues to captivate, and this second book, Is Love Enough?, dives right into the heart of the matter from the first-person perspective of Reign Ones. I was so caught up in the emotional depth and the journey of self-discovery that this novel simply flew by.
The author, K.C. McMillian, does such a phenomenal job weaving together an impactful story that addresses real emotional conflict while celebrating Black history and culture. These characters are complex, relatable, and their story is so much more than a typical romance—it’s about the heavy weight of the past and whether true love can withstand the highest price.
The real heat of the love story leaps off the page! This novel is packed with both passion and painful decisions. The storytelling is unique, blending gritty love and romance with the unyielding reality of their family and surroundings (NYC/London). The growth and external experiences—the healing, the common ground they find, and the fight to move forward—are profoundly powerful.
This hero/heroine dynamic? That chemistry? It KILLS me! I’m obsessed!

This is the second book of the Love and Reign series but it reads as a standalone. I loved that the author summarized the first book, so you won't be lost if you skipped the first one.
I enjoyed the first book, but this one takes the cake, as KC whisks you away on a wild ride through the highs and lows of a new relationship. The spice, the good, the bad, and the "what are we even doing?" moments, all leading up to a heartfelt happily ever after. The cherry on top is the infusion of Black history moments and shedding light on some lesser-known facts. And let's not forget the family drama, therapy sessions, and healing!
Dion and Reign are a match made in heaven.
I'm obsessed with this book!
