Lights, camera... murder? As on of the resident photographers aboard the Moonlit Majesty, Olivia Ocean is used to capturing smiling vacationers, sunset portraits, and the occasional conga line—not glamorous film stars. But when a high-profile movie crew boards the ship to celebrate the end of their latest production, Olivia’s job takes an unexpected—and thrilling—turn.
That excitement quickly turns to chaos when a member of the cast is pushed overboard under suspicious circumstances.
With the ship reeling and gossip spreading faster than sea spray, Olivia—along with her clever, camera-loving cat, Pickle—finds herself drawn into a tangled web of secrets, rivalries, and hidden motives. And with the ship’s security stretched thin, she may be the only one who can piece the puzzle together.
Can Olivia uncover the truth before the killer slips away with the tide?
A charming cruise ship mystery full of wit, twists, and seaside suspense—perfect for readers who love smart heroines, feline sidekicks, and a touch of glamour on the high seas.

Not your typical cruise for Olivia and the crew. A movie has taken over the ship and it’s intense. A diva behind the scenes and a sweetheart in front of the camera it’s a bit of culture shock for Olivia. She’s still got photos to shoot and three days to enjoy being behind the scenes. Then there’s the wrap party and a nightmare for every cruise passenger and crew man overboard. This time it’s murder. Olivia spends the short time they have left with the crew helping Miles and his staff getting to the bottom of this tragedy. I liked this story very much. A change of pace with the movie rather than your typical set of vacationers. Definitely shocked by the ending never saw that coming. Great read and finally can we ship (no pun intended) Olivia and Miles like for real?!!
I read this book in installments on Ream and wanted to offer my impression after finishing it.
Olivia’s latest mystery on the Midnight Majesty starts out as a sparkling Hollywood wrap up to a movie the studio has been filming on another ocean liner but chose the Midnight Majesty for a three day shoot with no passengers other than the film crew and staff to support them from the ship.
Olivia finds out her favorite actress is going to be on board and is hopeful of trying to get to know her. However tensions run high and it seems everyone is pointing fingers at everyone else when one night the movie star actress she wanted to meet falls off the ship!
They search for her but finally give up as the sea won’t give back its dead. Now Olivia, Miles and Pickle need to sift through all the clues and animosity each person seemed to have against her to figure out which of them did it!
This was a great whodunnit that gives you multiple suspects all with solid reasons to want Ava dead so it really makes our heroes work harder to discover the truth about what happened to Ava!
I enjoyed this book in its serialized format over multiple weeks and highly recommend it for your reading pleasure! It’s a thrilling adventure/ mystery sure to grab your attention as it did mine!

I enjoyed this book. I have read a number of cozy mysteries set on cruise ship but I think this series might be my favourite one out there. This is down to the author who not only paints a story that is easy to imagine but she does so with great characters in an entertaining way. Just like this story of is almost as if she was making a film. Even with reduced staff on board, I liked the characters and the important ones were still around to investigate a murder, such as Olivia, Miles and of course Pickles. The plot for the story was entertaining with a film crew taking over the ship leading to lots of diva drama and stunts. I had no clue who the killer was and to be honest I was to busy caught up in the action to figure it out. Looking forward to the next book and I hope that if this series can't come to the silver screen then at least it can make its way to Audible.
With a film crew hiring the Moonlit Majesty to continue filming the rest of there movie, Olivia is one of the few staff members left on board for the three day cruise. As a photographer it is her job to capture the behind the scenes action. With a big star on board not all the acting is done in front of the camera and it turns out to be a real eye opener for Olivia. With the filming in the bag the stars and crew gather for a wrap party and then the real drama begins. With the star ending going over board, it's up to Miles, Olivia and Pickles to work out was it an accident or was she pushed? But with a ship full of actors can they trust what they say? I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
After relocating to Europe, the Moonlit Majesty is commissioned for reshoots of a movie. As photographer, Olivia is one of the skeleton crew left on board. While she’s excited to get a chance to take more artistic photos and get publicity, she’s even more thrilled to meet one of her favorite actresses. She soon learns, however, that there’s more drama behind the scenes than on camera and Ava Sinclair is less than congenial to those around her. When a man overboard happens during the wrap party, Olivia joins security chief Miles in investigating. Suicide, accident, or murder? Can her perceptive cat, Pickles, help them sort it out?
Denise Jaden brings her real life experiences as an actress and former cruise ship entertainer into this cozy mystery. I enjoyed seeing Olivia’s friendship with Laila get stronger and how supportive they were of each other. The help of the photos in solving the case was a nice touch as well. Miles and Olivia’s relationship also moves forward this time around and the connection between them feels natural. With a dog on board, Pickle’s involvement was curtailed but still important in the end. Overall, a fun and lightweight cozy with enough to keep you guessing throughout.

Well things are far from happy on sail-away day as one of the cast of the film has gone astray ,or should that be overboard in the spray . The sea, Olivia Ocean is the ship’s photographer but also the resident sleuth ,who is used to dealing with passengers who are quite uncouth and those who do not tell the truth she can tell from a mile away ,but she just smiles and does grin anyway much to the chagrin of those around her and Pickle ? He’s a clever cat and he loves the camera too and even he knows just what to do ,he’s a clever puss, who others onboard cus but he’s a special vip and treated accordingly . The killer needs to be caught ,thwarted before they can hide in plain sight and make a swift getaway into the night or when the ship weighs anchor . The guests are all a bit peeved with Olivia but they’ll soon learn to thank her … Brilliant as ever with the right flow and mystery all sewn up and weaved so well it’s hard at first to tell what the outcome will be …You might say it’s a mystery haha ,well that’s what we sign up for after a,l and with this book I had a ball and a bawl as laughter was on the cards too ripples of it as well as those on the water as the ship sailed on . Denise Jaden , I loved this one .
A film crew has leased the ship to film some final scenes for their movie and the ship’s crew is reduced for the short trip. The bulk of the ship’s crew gets to explore Europe, while Olivia, Miles, and Pickle are part of the reduced crew staying on board. Olivia is excited to see the film crew in action and get up close to her favorite actress, Ava Sinclair. But Ava turns out to be a way better actress than Olivia ever expected, because being so sweet in movies and talk shows, doesn’t translate to being a kind lady in person. Since Ava does her best to alienate and humiliate others, there is no shortage of suspects in Ava’s death. Wonderful to see an increased part for Laila as she is able to leave the film studio (the boss, Philip, has gone on shore) to work with Olivia in photographing the film crew. Miles is overworked and appreciates Olivia’s input. And of course, Pickle is never left out of the action. A quick paced mystery with a great look behind the scenes of a film set. Miles and Olivia have a nice slow growing relationship and would be great to see them on shore in Europe in another adventure.
In Book 4, most of the crew is off ship while a film crew finishes filming a movie. Olivia is tasked with taking pictures for them.
When a cast member goes overboard, the question becomes - was it an accident, an attempt at suicide, or murder? Olivia works with head of security Miles (and of course, her cat, Pickles!) to find the truth.
I didn't guess the resolution of the mystery til it was revealed.
The book is well written, with wonderful characters and a fascinating setting, on a beautiful cruise ship. I think you can enjoy this even without having read the others in the series, though as always, they give you even more background.
The ending had me smiling..,and looking forward to book 5!.

Olivia Ocean’s job is photographing people and events aboard the Moonlit Majesty. But this time, a high-profile movie crew from Stonebridge Entertainment is with them to film the final scenes in their latest feature film and celebrate its completion. And one of Olivia’s favorite actresses, Ava Sinclair, would be starring in this film. Unfortunately, Ava is not nearly as accommodating in person as she appears on screen and is rather nasty to people.
When a scream is heard and Ava ends up falling overboard, there are more than enough suspects who wouldn’t mind seeing her dead. Was this an accident? A suicide? Or a murder? Olivia, Pickle, and Miles begin to investigate what happened. Will they discover who might have killed her among the many possible suspects who had a reason to do so? This one will definitely keep you guessing!
This is the fourth book in the series and a great addition. Olivia Ocean is the resident photographers aboard the Moonlit Majesty cruise ship along with her intelligent cat, Pickles. A movie crew boards to celebrate the end of filming and asks Olivia if she would take pictures. Happy with the assignment, she agrees. But when someone goes overboard, were they pushed? Was it an accident and did she fall? Did she jump? Not having a full staff on board, Olivia and Miles, from security get entangled in an investigation with what seemed like a lot of potential suspects who wanted the victim dead. This is a fun, fast paced book that keeps you guessing to the surprising end. Not only do I recommend this book, but I recommend the entire series. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
Setting: Cruise Ship Detective: Olivia Ocean, Ship Photographer Law Enforcement: Miles, Security Chief (also the love interest) Victim: Ava Sinclair, Actress Crime: Murder COD: Presumed Drowning Animal Sidekick: Pickle, Orange Tabby Cat Mewsings This story was about the filming of pick up scenes and reshoots for a movie, which I found very entertaining. The characters were quirky and interesting. The mystery was pretty clever, although the confession wasn’t. And Olivia and Miles took another step in their very slow burn romance at the very end. The book was fun to read, and I’d recommend it.

While the writing style was smooth and readable, the story itself felt slow and underwhelming. Set aboard a ship filled with celebrities and gossip, the premise promised intrigue—but delivered little excitement. The mystery lacked momentum, and the plot never quite surprised.
Olivia, the protagonist, came across as flat and emotionally distant. Her fixation on the cat felt disproportionate and left little room for character development or depth. The concept had potential, but the execution didn’t live up to it.
I received this book as an ARC, and this is my honest review.
The Moonlit Majesty is at Southampton (England) a lot of the crew have 3 days of leave as a film crew are on board for a few days. Olivia is taking a lot of photos of everything that is happening & gets to meet the star of the film, Ava. Ava is quite snippy with people, but, she’s the star!! At the wrap party someone is lost overboard & Olivia & Miles the Security Chief set about questioning people just in case it is indeed a murder not an accident. Once again Pickle, Olivia’s cat helps fing a clue or two. Another enjoyable read.
This is the fourth and last book of the Olivia Ocean Cruise Ship Mysteries and I will be sorry to finish it. I have truly enjoyed each and every adventure with wonderful characters, Olivia, Miles, Pickle, and a lot of suspicious guests. A movie crew comes aboard to finish the last few scenes of a movie. Lots of drama among the cast and crew that will keep you on your toes trying to figure out who the ultimate culprit could be. It's a fun, but dangerous romp for the crew and guests.
The Moonlit Majesty is the setting for scenes in a movie. The wrap party at the end of production takes a grisly turn when a member of the cast goes overboard. Suicide, accident, or murder? Gossip, secrets, revenge, and jealousy have Olivia, Miles, and Pickles digging into a case full of mystery and danger.
What a trio of sleuths! Pickles could lead any investigation. I received a free copy, but my review is honest and voluntary.
"Murder at the Wrap Party: Olivia Ocean Cruise Ship Mysteries Book 4" is another engaging installment in this captivating series. Denise Jaden crafts a believable mystery set at sea, featuring cruise photographer Olivia Ocean and her clever cat Pickle. It's a fun, entertaining, and thoroughly enjoyable read.

Olivia enjoys her job as the Ship photographer and now they are filming a movie on board. She is excited to take photos behind the scene of the crew and the lead actress Ava. When Ava falls overboard did she jump or was she pushed. Olivia and Miles the head of security have to figure it out before the movie people leave the ship. This was a fun story and I recommend it.
That was original, and so good! I enjoyed it very much, well written and well developed. And the tone is just what I needed, lighthearted in a way that made me want to read more and more! That twist! Well done. Olivia’s done it yet again: capturing me and my attention fully!

I have read all the books in this series so far and I have enjoyed every one of them. Well-developed mystery and I love Miles and Olivia's burgeoning relationship. Looking forward to the next one. Recommend reading.
Murder at the Wrap Party: Olivia Ocean Cruise Ship Mysteries book 4
Working as a cruise ship photographer and this time a closed group of people. A whole film crew with all the different personalities and egos.An interesting solution to a urder.
This was ok. It took awhile for the actual murder to take place. There are a lot of suspects that had perfectly good reasons to murder. I had guessed the wrong person but wasn’t surprised at who did it. Happy Reading :)
A wonderful book by author Denise Jaden. I love all her awesome books and this one is so good. I highly recommend reading any or all of her wonderful books...

Book four of this exciting series finds Olivia trying to solve another murder. A film crew has taken over the ship to finish their movie. All that comes to a halt when the leading actress is murdered. Of course as always Olivia is helped by Miles and her cat Pickles. Good story.
