The day I dump my cheating boyfriend, I discover he owes some very bad people big money. None of it is my fault, but either I agree to be auctioned to settle his debt, or he dies.
As a twisted joke, I’m gifted to three large, angry men because I’m a dead ringer for their shared ex-girlfriend. None of us like it, but we’re trapped together for the next six months. Sure, Rush and Lucky take out their frustrations on me, but Saint is obsessed with making me pay.
Weeks of war with the guys settles into an uneasy ceasefire. Despite the numerous red flags and my better judgement, I find myself falling for them.
If they never see who I truly am past their ex's face, my heart will break.
If they send me away, hell is coming. ________________ Crushing Clover is an MMMF rough poly romance. Contains dark themes/scenes. Visit author website for more details.
Sorcha Black writes kink romance, both alone and co-written under the name Sparrow Beckett. When she's not writing, she's generally avoiding housework and planning her next tattoo. Sorcha lives in Canada with her husband and their horde of witty children.
One of the MMC in the harem attacked & roughly SA'd the FMC all because their ex girlfriend won a prestigious award for her restaurant. He ended up giving the FMC a bloody nose, non con smex & reminded her of a previous sa attack..
Same MMC treats her worse & because she resembles their ex. The FMC is just a victim but keeps her chin up by thinking how how the guys are.
They do nothing but withhold organs, make sleep on the floor or at the foot of the bed while all 3 bang each other & she lays there horny.
Lord I swear these female authors really hate other women.
OMG, Clover needs to be a SAINT! The things this poor woman endures with maturity, tireless grace and yes, realistic resignation. Many readers may quibble with Clover's seeming passive acceptance of a potentially horrific fate but personally I very much appreciated her resilience and MATURITY in a bad situation. No hysteria, useless raging or pointless escape attempts, just a pragmatic voluntary choice to squeeze the best out of everything she was enduring.
The smex was scorching, the 3 MMC's were HOT and the plot completely enthralled me. The plot involved a woman sold to save her mooching useless a$$ of an ex-boyfriend from being unalived yet I felt it had a very unusual and original twist to it that kept me fully engaged, invested and on tenterhooks through the story and characters from start to finish.
The writing was excellent as was the character development, the tension, suspense and concerned anticipation. The evil character was just that and this reader was on the most delicious pins and needles when it came to the 3 MMC's who currently 'owned' Clover.
Clover was intelligent, pragmatic, warm-hearted, resourceful, flexible (in more ways than one), adaptive, wonderfully mature emotionally. IMO she is an absolutely wonderful MFC. And so too, is this book.

I’m amazed that I’m getting more and more into dark romances. I LOVE Sorcha’s writing because they have a dark pieces to them. Crushing Clover is the second. Dark romance I’ve read in a row and I’m absolutely loving it.
Clover is a naive young woman who is too nice for her own good, but life has been a bit unforgiving to her. She makes choices that get her tangled up with our MMCs and sets the tone for most of the story. The male characters are mean, brutal, loving, caring, and possessive. This story is about acceptance and self discovery that none of the characters saw coming. So get ready to laugh, cry, and get so angry that you DO cry. If you’re looking for MMMF, CNC, brooding, and so much more, THIS is your book!!
!!!Spoiler alert!!! Wow just wow. And I'm not sure if it's wow in the good way or bad. I'm leaning more towards bad only bc the TR were NOT listed. It simply stated there might be SOME uncomfortable topics. And I'm not one to say EVERY TR needs to be listed but things like on page SA, non-consensual and dubious consent along with trafficking should DEFERENTIALLY be listed and not be something that you should have to go to the authors site to find. Especially when it's well written.
With that said. The story it self was just ok. I felt like they basically just tried to findv creative ways to "force" her to have s3x for the sake of having s3x and torturing her. Up until the very last min when
I get that some enjoy this type of reading and experience, I just wished that as a survivor that I'd better been prepared for what to expect.
Clover dumps her cheating boyfriend and is ready to start life over and on her own when she is informed that she can either be sold at auction or her ex will die. She opts to keep him alive and ends up in the hands of three men, Saint, Rush and Lucky. A cruel trick Saint’s father has gifted them Clover because she looks like their ex. As they spend time together, she begins to fall for them, but will they choose to keep her or let her be sold off to a fate worse than death? MMMF read with plenty of dark scenes and triggers. Characters are great with plenty of depth and emotion, and the story draws you in from beginning to end. Clover is so strong and learns how to manage her men, I loved it!
the premise and how it played in the first few chapters set a bad tone for the rest of the book
Plot: 2-3 stars Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ CNC? More “NC” than “CNC”- plus weak FMC made for a bad combo
The premise for the FMC getting into her situation was utterly ridiculous and it bothered me throughout the book. Beyond that, the FMC oscillating, btw victim and then willing participant at the end of each spicy scene was annoying. It was hard to get excited about a character who thought so little of herself. The MMCs were actually what the three stars are for and they what kept me interested until the end. The plot was very predictable but the spice made up for it.
I can never really write a review for one of Sorcha's books the way I want to and Amazon approving it. I have been a fan of Sorcha's all the way back to the Brats series and my love of her work has not waived.
I absolutely love all the characters. The bickering between Clover and Saint... it's perfect and I also enjoy that Clover isn't the only brat in this book. If you are into everything described in this book, do not skip it. You will not be disappointed.
Crushing Clover is the third installment in the dark romance series Prey Island. A twisted tale of learning to accept the truth of life and finding you way in an unconventional way.
Clover is a girl who gives her all for those she loves. Willing to sacrifice herself, she finds herself and her truth
Who the hell would agree to sell themselves for their ex boyfriend who they dumped coz of him cheating, lying , gaslighting, laziness and a 100 different things???
All because she wants to be a saint or live guilt free ?
Thats so dumb. Why do authors believe woman don’t have brains ?

Sorcha Black a.k.a. Sparrow Beckett. I absolutely LOVED Sparrow Beckett's 'Dominant Bastard Duology' 🥰 so I had high hopes for this book. However... it turned out this book did not work for me. Clover... consciously choosing to let herself be sold as a sex slave because otherwise her good-for-nothing constantly-cheating-bastard ex-boyfriend would get into trouble??? 😳 Really??? 🥴 Nope... didn't want to read about such a stupid heroine. Maybe the story gets really good.... but I will never know! 🤪 DNF!
Check your triggers before diving in, as this book has a few.
After finding her boyfriend cheating on her, Clover gets taken and sold to pay off his debts. The man who buys her uses her to manipulate his son, not that Saint wants her. Clover looks identical to Saint’s ex, and he wasn’t happy with how she left. Now with Rush and Lucky, Saint just wants to finish paying for the loan and be done with her. But six months is a long time to not get any attachments, and Clover knows staying with these three men is her best bet for survival. Slowly, all the guys warm to her, but only just as their time runs out. So what happens when they have to give Clover back to Saint’s father?
Saint, Rush, Lucky, and Clover get their happy ending in this standalone book.
This book got really dark at times, and I didn’t think Saint was ever going to warm to Clover. The power dynamic between the three men was interesting to say the least, and I wonder between Saint and Rush who was ultimately in charge in their relationship. I do wonder what ended up happening to their original restaurant, as I couldn’t see Saint’s father running it the way the guys were, and I think that’s what the clientele expected at that point. I do wonder if they included Clover in their new restaurant or if they kept her at home, more like in the past, as she proved she could be helpful as a server.
This book is pure guilty-pleasure territory—edgy, intense, and wrapped in high drama. If you’re into erotic romance with suspenseful undertones, this one delivers the heat and the chaos.
I flew through the pages despite the wild premise. The lead characters aren’t deeply nuanced, but they’re compelling enough to hold your attention—and when the tension turns steamy, the book doesn’t hold back.
After working as a dancer and stripper, Clover takes a job on an island (the island we read about in Prey Island), but when she returns home, she discovers her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Heartbroken, she walks away—only to be pulled right back into his dangerous world hours later. In a twisted turn of events, she ends up being auctioned off in his place to save his life.
She's bought by a man who plans to gift her to Saint—a brooding, dominant figure who’s reminded of his lost love when he sees Clover. Saint shared his girlfriend with his two male partners, and soon, Clover finds herself in a similar polyamorous dynamic.
What begins as a six-month arrangement slowly turns into something deeper. Just as they begin to fall for her, tragedy strikes—Clover is taken and assaulted, throwing their lives into chaos. But Saint and his partners will stop at nothing to get her back.
Through pain, healing, and a confrontation with the past, they ultimately find their way to a hard-earned happily ever after.

Clover hasn't had much good luck in her life, so when fate puts her into the hands on three sexy Adonises, she doesn't know that to think. But there are hateful feelings and a whole lot of unresolved anger, and Clover isn't sure if she'd be better off riding out the wave, or running away to take her chances elsewhere. There were some downright mean moments, but there were also some sweet, sexy times. This was an emotionally dark and spicy romance. You may hate the men at times, but their MMFM chemistry makes it totally worth the wait!
I love this author and she writes the men so well that even when they seem awful there’s still this little layer of care that they have which comes through more and more throughout the book. This one didn’t do it for me though. I was looking forward to it so much and still enjoyed the book but Saint was just not redeemable to me. His reasons were honestly pathetic and the way he acted in some scenes was just vile. I don’t expect grovelling from Sorcha’s men but I sure as hell needed it from Saint.
Classic Sorcha It was so fucking good! Loved the character development of Saint and loved the fact that Clover grows out of her doormat personality and my favorite character was Lucky, loved the golden retriever energy lol
SO many sex scenes, lol. There was still a plot though and seeing the guys fall for Clover was great. I like how they each were so different. There are probably a few TWs for this book.
