A former officer in the United States Air Force, Donald M. Goldstein was Professor of Public and International Affairs at the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh.
It’s a good book for the narrative describing each picture. There is a wide breadth of the participants and that has value when you think about the scope of the invasion. I was disappointed that certain things, like the P-38 and B-24 were omitted from the narrative. The pictures are many and are often not seen in most books on the topic of D-day.
