Murder In July: A Christmas Creek Mystery Book 1

Rate this book
In the snow-dusted Australian alpine town of Christmas Creek, Holly Bright is known for her award-winning gingerbread—and her cutthroat rivalry with pastry-perfect Margo Plum.

With the Gingerbread in July Competition just days away, sabotage is already heating up in Holly’s bakery.

But when a scathing food critic turns up dead in the pines behind her shop—clutching a broken gingerbread man—Holly finds herself the prime suspect in a murder case iced with secrets, sabotage, and scandal.

To clear her name and save her bakery, Holly must team up with a mysterious newcomer who may know more than he's letting on.

With Christmas in July cheer giving way to small-town suspicion, Holly's got just one shot to solve the murder before the killer frames her for good.

Perfect for fans of Jenny Kales, Darci Hannah, and Agatha Frost, Murder in July is a deliciously cozy whodunit filled with festive feuds, gingerbread grudges, and one seriously competitive baker who won’t crumble under pressure.

Nice murder mystery set in a small town. The mystery is set around a holiday baking competition. The characters are believable and interesting. The story flows well and is well-written. The only thing I found confusing was that the contest was supposedly a Christmas in July competition but it is cold, snowy and people are bundled up.

Great mystery

This was a great small town murder mystery. There’s corruption in a baking competition and a murder. I really enjoyed it.
