H.L. Hines considers herself to be a lifelong learner. Among the long list of studies are: human behavior, deviant groups, communications, and sociological perspectives throughout them all writing has remained her primary concentration.
Her love of people and stories has far overwhelmed her inner hermit. However, when a story takes her in it's nearly impossible to get in a hold of her. She loves most things that evoke the senses and tries to immerse her readers in the experience of those moments.
Spending most of her time outside of work, writing or exploring H.L. is not afraid to get her hands dirty. With an undeveloped property needing tender care she finds time with her fiancé by cleaning up and preparing their land and watching reruns of old sci-fi.
Some topics that are near to her heart are: environmental concerns, animal protections, as well as the educational reform.

Wow! This book was quite the ride, and I mean that in the most romantic and action packed way possible! Nadia's bratty quips make her easily an instantly likable character, for me anyways. I love a good spunky and sassy female main character. When we meet her "stoney" love interest, it's instantly clear he's a "big guy" cinnamon roll from the very first pages. I would call this a slow burn, which usually I don't enjoy, but the author weaves sultry flirting and angst all the way up until he finally gives into her.
The push and pull of these characters is addictive, and if you like banter between your love interests, this one is for you. MONSTER lovers will also enjoy our male main character.
The truth or dare scene had me in stitches and I couldn't wait to pick this book up again and again. Heartwarming happy ending that left me with all the feels!

I really enjoyed the story, even though there were some rough patches near the end. There were some jarring shifts in action that lost me a little.
