An extremely practical and well designed travel guide that will answer your most basic questions and provide information you didn’t know you needed.
In order to travel outside the USA you need to be prepared. Every country has rules and requirements as do airlines, hotels, car rental companies, trains, health, drug and dental insurance companies, plus other things I’ve already forgotten.
Author, Elena Rossetti, has organized all the important documentation needs for Italy in a section called: “Preparing for Your Trip”. Her writing style is easy to read, friendly, organized and simple to follow up on. Each section is short in the beginning preparation parts. I never had that frantic, “I’m not going to make it” feeling while reading this guide book.
Elena gives the same care to helping readers pack appropriately, book accommodations, understand reasonable sightseeing goals with some recommendations for 5, 7 and 10 day trips. Her brief descriptions of the sights give TikTok like facts rather than deep dives found in other guides.
There are many useful tips on things like: tipping, meals, common phrases, etiquette, appropriate dress, drinking, seasonal activities and so much more.
An excellent guide for first time and casual travelers📚
