Last summer, Elijah Moretti and his elite circle made a mistake no one can survive.
It begins as an accident. It ends with a body… and a series of decisions none of them can take back.
So they make a pact:
That night never happened.
No one will speak of it again, because they all have something to lose.
Elijah isn’t just a star hockey player and a mafia heir. He’s also a Saints legacy within the Black Crown Society.
Most importantly, he’s Blair Winthrop’s best friend.
She was born into the Black Crown Society too. A legacy in her own right, destined to be matched with a Saint chosen for her.
She’s the only person who has ever been able to tame Elijah’s fiery temper.
Not even Elijah understood his obsession with Blair… until she left without a goodbye, leaving him to believe the worst.
Her opinion is the only one that has ever mattered to him.
And when he needs her most, he believes the girl he would burn the world down for chose the Society over him.
With the Saints’ first pairing ritual looming, their futures have already been decided. Matches are chosen. Loyalty is proven. Prestige is preserved.
When Blair reappears at St. Augustine University, just a shell of the girl he once admired, Elijah realizes she’s been keeping secrets far darker than he imagined.
Secrets that will bring him to his knees, begging for her forgiveness… begging to touch her one last time.
If one person breaks, the entire kingdom will crumble.
But the past never stays buried when loyalty is scarce, does it?
When tragedy strikes the elite circle one summer night, the group makes a pact to never speak of it again. But when Elijah Moretti's best friend and obsession, Blair Winthrop, disappears without a word, he's prepared to go scorched earth.
Blair reemerges at St. Augustine University just in time for the Black Crown Society’s choosing ceremony, making Elijah more unhinged than ever with his matches already chosen.
Elijah’s obsession is top tier and exactly the kind of MMC we’ve come to expect from London Snow. While Blair is Elijah’s soft place, she’s also fierce and just as willing to do whatever it takes to protect him.

Elijah and Blair’s childhood friendship made their relationship feel so much deeper, and Elijah’s complete obsession with her was everything. He’s possessive and completely unhinged, but the soft, protective side he has with Blair made me love him even more.
I also really enjoyed the mystery surrounding the Black Crown Society. There were so many secrets, twists, and little reveals that kept me guessing, and I loved seeing the Castlebrook characters pop up along the way. The story moves quickly, but I honestly flew through it because there was always something happening.
I would have happily spent more time with Elijah and Blair, especially seeing more of their history together, but I still had such a good time with this.
Dark romance, hockey, secret societies, an obsessed MMC, and a couple who are completely gone for each other? Definitely my kind of chaos.
~~~~
A huge thank you to London Snow and The Smuthood for the ARC! 😍 All my bookish thoughts are completely my own. ✨
Dark romance, hockey players, and a secret society... When he says “You’re mine”?! Sign me up!
I love a grumpy, protective man! Elijah wasn’t going to let anyone mess with his woman. I loved his energy and dedication. I’m obsessed with how sweet and comforting he was with Blair. No matter the situation, he had Blair’s back!
I liked Blair, but her character didn’t really resonate with me as much as Elijah’s. I felt like she was a little too sweet for the world she was involved in, but that’s okay because she had her man.
I enjoyed the mysteries in the story. You know Blair’s life is in danger because of the society, so I was waiting for everything to blow up. The ending still caught me off guard, though! I really enjoyed how everything played out.
3.5⭐️ Hmmm I’m kind of disappointed? I mean we still get a super possessive and unhinged H, so that was good. The book is also completely safe (for me). But it just didn’t click with me like other London books. I do like the secret society angle, but everything was resolved way too easily. It just left me wanting more. There was also very limited spice (one ‘full on’ scene and one with just foreplay). I had good hopes the book would pick up still as I thought I had about 35 % to go, but then at 70% the book was over and the rest were previews of other books.
So, I did enjoy it, but was expecting more. I don’t know if I will continu this series (I might just go and re-read Tristan and Winter’s story 😏).
Safety: - No OW/OM (both were virgins and each other’s first and only). Some OM wanted h, but H would deal with them. - No cheating - No separation (apart from h being kidnappen for a while, H never gives up looking for her).
3.5 rounded up. Unhinged Obsession is Book 1 in the Saints of the Black Crown Society. This is Elijah and Blair's story. You knew something was going to happen after the summer before another year of college when something horrific happens involving several children of Black Crown Society members. Blair disappears and then returns at the beginning of the of the semester, and when she does, she’s determined to stay away from Elijah. But Elijah has other plans and with the Choosing coming up he is determined to whatever is needed to make sure she's his. These two are bound to not be torn apart and willing to do anything to endure that happens.
If you like your heroes completely insane for their girls, this is the author you should be reading. This one is set around a secret society, but it has her signature plot lines of hockey players and their complete, unhinged, feral devotion to their soulmates. There is violence, murder, so beware. (No SA tho)
Dual virgins. 100% faithful, they belong to each other completely. Unwanted OM/OW. heroine is attacked by unknown enemies (not on page). HEA with epilogue
Unhinged Obsession is a dark romance filled with secret societies, the touch-her-and-die trope, and a mystery surrounding an elite group of friends determined to keep a secret hidden. I loved Elijah as the MMC. Although he had a possessive nature, he would burn down the world for Blair and still carry an inhaler for her, while Blair can hold her own against the Black Crown Society and is the only one who can temper Elijah’s fiery temper. I devoured this book in one sitting, and I can’t wait to see what is next for the Moretti brothers.
Thank you to London Snow for the opportunity to review Unhinged Obsession. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
So many notes and annotations oh my gosh Highly, HIGHLY, recommend this book for a quick but incredibly exciting read!
First off, Caiden and Chapel??? Kings of Castlebrook cameos um immediately yes please 10/10 There are soo many layers and plot twists that make the book so incredible I just wish it was longer and more drawn out. If it had some more bulk to it to really fill out the plot around all the twists and had lengthier transitions between the pivotal moments it would be sooo good. Dont get me wrong, this book is absolutely still incredible in more ways than one but it also has so much potential for more.
I feel like it’s pretty rare to read a book that has some elements of that rushing feeling but still ends up being amazing but honestly it’s also just good promotion for more of London Snow’s books because now I’m probably gonna go devour the Kings of Castlebrooke series lmaoo
Not only was the spice absolutely spicing but the plot was just so exciting and I felt like everytime something or one situation was resolved another was forming and not even in a ‘this is mind-numbing’ or ‘here we go again’ kind of way. Each point connected to the last in such unexpected and just nail biting kind of ways that it was so fun to read! I finished the first 60% of the book the first day and was reading literally any chance I got to finish it, and let me tell you that last 30-40% of the book was actually insane!
The characters are all so vivid and different and oh my gosh Noah and Elijah are duking it out for favorite character position right now. Elijah is just…ugh how to even describe this man. Perfection. Delicious. Possessive. Singular. Like, absolutely swoon, and the dual virgin thing for both the mmc and mfc made their relationship so much sweeter, adorable and just all around swoony besides when he’s threatening to murder people for even looking at Blair but that’s just another for the pro’s column lmaoo. And Noah? Oh my gosh, the funniest character in the entire book, hands down. That man is so unserious in the most serious situations I absolutely love him hahahah The unknown and spotty dynamic with him and Ivy has me sooo curious and itching to read about their history/relationship(?)
Absolutely a 10/10 book for plot, characters, the vibrancy and emotion, the world building and crossovers with Castlebrook. The only reason I won’t say 5 stars is just because, like I mentioned, there is so much potential to make this book more consistent and flow smoother, it does have that slightly rushed vibe to it, which again not a bad thing at all in this case, I just wish there was more. And the second reason being that there were quite a few typos, grammatical issues, etc throughout the book. I think there were more chapters than not that had errors but it didn’t take away from the flow or understanding of the text at all except for in chapter 6, I think it was, in a couple of different spots. But beginning to end, all the questions and temporary confusion I had at first were quickly or eventually made sense and were answered in literally jaw dropping ways!
Overall:
Cute romance, the MCs are very unapologetically unhinged about each other and super sweet.
The plot is weak, a bit forced, immature and rushed, without proper background, build-up or connection between scenes.
The writing style is also very basic.
as will all of londons books, these two were unhinged & devoted + completely & utterly NASTYYYY!! elijah was so down bad & would absolutely FOLDDD for ANY form of a “good boy” from his girl!! & we love that from a man! lol
I was excited to get this as an ARC as I love London Snow and how she writes incredible male characters that are utterly obsessed with their girls and will burn the world for them. Unhinged Obsession is a dark college romance that ties in with the Castlebrook series -give it a read because it’s top tier.
I struggled to connect with the characters, maybe there was just too many to keep up with, it has been a long summer so it could just be me. The plot I found was a little jumpy and I needed to go and reread previous chapters to keep up.
-“Beg,” is the only thing she says, and I can’t help but smile against the crook of her neck. That’s my fucking good girl. “Please let me have you,” I whisper against the shell of Blair’s ear. “I’ve been such a good boy waiting to taste you.” -“If you’re a good boy for me, I’ll let you breed me, Elijah,” she teases me in the sleepiest voice I’ve ever heard. And suddenly, I’m wide awake.
-I shoot him in the other knee, and he screams in pain, writhing on the ground like the little bitch that he is. Blair looks up at me, and I shrug. “I can’t be held responsible if you’re going to bring up your naked body.”
I enjoyed the storyline, secrets and the mystery behind this read. Elijah's devotion and obsession for Blair. Their connection and love between each other, even whilst being forbidden within their circle. The plot regarding the elite secret society and character involvement was very intriguing and enjoyed the mystery behind this. I do realize it was on the shorter side of a read, but felt it was missing important aspects of the storyline to make it more cohesive. Thank you to The Smuthood for this ARC copy.
We finally get The Black Crown Society!! I’ve been following along with it through her other series, so when I heard this one was finally coming out, I was SO excited.
And THESE TROPES?! 👏🏻 Dark college hockey + secret society + unhinged, obsessed mafia heir + breeding kink?! I was READY.
Blair and Elijah Moretti, one of the Moretti triplets.
These two are best friends who are so obviously in love with each other. I really liked their relationship and the whole best friends-to-lovers aspect. Elijah definitely had that obsessed, possessive energy I was expecting from him. 😂
Something happens one summer that completely changes everything. The friend group gets separated, and Blair ends up being taken by one of the societies.
Unfortunately, this one just didn’t hit for me the way I expected it to. 😭
There were so many different pieces involving the secret societies, the different groups, their history, and everything happening behind the scenes that I found myself confused more than intrigued. I kept feeling like I was missing something or trying to remember how everyone and everything connected.
I also felt like there was SO much potential here. The tropes are literally everything I normally love, and I was really excited about Elijah and Blair, but I just never became as invested in the story as I wanted to be.
And that makes me extra sad because I felt similarly about the last book she released. 😭 I’ve really enjoyed her books in the past, so I keep hoping the next one grabs me again.
Overall, I didn’t hate it, but I definitely went into this expecting to be obsessed, and unfortunately I wasn’t.
Unhinged Obsession introduces readers to the Moretti triplets—Elijah, Ben, and Noah—mafia heirs raised to become loyal servants, or “saints,” of the Black Crown Society. The story takes a dark turn during the summer before another year of college when something horrific happens involving several children of Black Crown Society members, including Elijah’s best friend, Blair, and his stepsister, Paris. The group makes a pact to never speak about that night again. But when Blair mysteriously disappears, keeping that promise becomes much harder.
Blair doesn’t return until the beginning of the semester, and when she does, she’s determined to stay away from Elijah. As a daughter of the Black Crown Society, Blair has always followed the rules, but that didn’t protect her from falling into the hands of the Society’s darkest sect. Believing that distancing herself from Elijah is the only way to keep him safe, she tries desperately to resist the pull between them.
Unfortunately, Elijah and Blair are like magnets—they simply can’t stay away from each other. With the Choosing Ceremony approaching, Elijah is determined to do whatever it takes to ensure the Elders choose Blair as his Chosen. But as threats against their group continue to escalate, protecting Blair becomes more dangerous than ever.
What makes Unhinged Obsession so compelling is the combination of dark secrets, dangerous family ties, forbidden romance, and the constant sense that something much worse is lurking beneath the surface. The tension between Elijah and Blair keeps the story moving, while the mystery surrounding that fateful summer night leaves you wanting to uncover the truth. If you enjoy dark romance, mafia families, possessive heroes, secret societies, and plenty of suspense and danger, Unhinged Obsession is a book that will keep you turning the pages.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars) — A deliciously dark romance with cult-y vibes, a perfectly unhinged MMC, mutual obsession, and top-tier spice! 👑🔪
London Snow is a recently discovered author for me, starting with Pucking Obsessed. I've been hooked ever since, so it's been a real treat coming back to this interconnected universe! Snow proves once again that she is absolutely amazing at writing completely unhinged, definitely morally grey, utterly obsessive, and possessive men. 🖤
The Setup & Characters: 👥 • Blair (FMC): She is one of the children of an elite circle called The Black Crown Society. (Very cult-y vibes! 🕯️) The children get paired and married off to other children in the society when they come of age. They have absolutely no say in who they marry; it's just their way of life. However, Blair has only ever wanted her best friend, Elijah. • Elijah (MMC): He is one-third of the Moretti triplets. He's got some serious anger issues and is definitely unhinged, so people tend to avoid him. That is perfectly acceptable to him because he doesn't like anyone... except Blair. He's been in love with her forever.
What Worked (The Dynamic): ✅ As London Snow is known for, she wrote Elijah with the perfect amount of crazy. This man will go to any and all lengths to keep Blair by his side and protect her, even if that means going to war with the Black Crown Society. 🩸
What I loved the most, though, was that Blair was just as gone for Elijah. She was his soft place to land, but at the same time, she was just as fierce, loyal, and protective of him as he was of her. Mutual obsession is top-tier! 🫶
The Spice: 🌶️🔥 This book was deliciously dirty. The smut was incredibly hot but wasn't overbearing to the plot. Both of our main characters were virgins, and there was a lot of primal play and a breeding kink, which makes for some of my absolute favorite spicy scenes to read! 🥵🌲
Final Thoughts: 💭 All in all, this was a great addition to the universe! I cannot wait for the next release! 📚🏃♀️💨
Unhinged obsession by @authorlondonsnow ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ This man is absolutely unhinged for his best friend. He will do anything and kill anyone to protect what’s his. And she will do the same. These two have loved each other for as long as they could remember but with secret societies and masked men trying to keep them apart. But with friends in high places, you get what you want. To marry the love of your life and keep her safe. This was sooooooo good and I cannot wait to read more about the morertti triplets 💥
If you enjoy any of the following then you must read Darkish college hockey Secret society Equestrian FMC Unhinged & obsessed mafia heir BC tampering Size difference He begs to finish inside Breeding kink (no pregnancy)
Elijah and Blair are absolutely wonderful together a true love that lasts a lifetime but we are met with a big problem last year their group last a member or so they thought now they must figure out who is attacking not only Blair but the others!!
London..you turned the heat up with this one. Hot Damn!
Elijah and Blair are two characters that always intrigued me. I knew that Elijah was crazy about Blair but to the lengths he would go to be with her, I had no idea. Their story was so damn hot. When Blair called him "good boy", I was a goner and so was Elijah! Getting their story and just how deep their friendship went.. SWOON! Her touch calmed him. Everything about her was his peace! SWOONING SO HARD!
The protective nature that Elijah and his brothers have over the girls they love is obsessive and I can't get enough. Talk about crazy in love. I am here for it. I was furious and somewhat panicking with those trying to keep Elijah and Blair apart! Trying to figure out where London was going to take us and how they could possibly end up together with the rituals took me for a ride. We know that Elijah is a very powerful man and will burn the world down for Blair but what really got me in their story was how strong Blair was (you'll find out when you read). Because of her, Elijah was always protected and he has no idea the lengths she went.
So much was packed into this story! I always love the crossover characters and how they play a role in each others books. 4.25/5 stars!
If you love a book with: breeding kink (no pregnancy) bc tampering secret society best friends to frienemies to lovers mask play only she can calm him old money, elite vibes
I swear I become more and more obsessed with this author and her books with each new release! This story was the perfect example of why. It definitely starts out with a bang, which sucked me in and didn't let up. The Black Crown Society was intriguing, but definitely made me h@te them, well the older members anyways. There was suspense, a few twist I NEVER saw coming, some action and even a little angst. All together this had me eating up every word. Not to mention the fantastic side characters, the delicious spice, and Elijah in all his unhinged glory. My heart also broke for Blair a few times, but Elijah was able to piece us both back together! I can't wait for more in this series!
Unhinged Obsession, primo capitolo della serie Saints of the Black Crown Society di London Snow, si presenta al pubblico con un biglietto da visita irresistibile per le amanti del genere: un mix esplosivo di hockey romance, ambientato in una dark accademia dall'atmosfera opprimente, controllata da una società segreta, e un protagonista maschile descritto come pericoloso, possessivo, animato da un'ossessione "unhinged". Eppure, basta superare i primi capitoli per rendersi conto che la realtà tra le pagine è ben diversa da quella dipinta nella sinossi. La storia non assume mai i toni cupi, moralmente ambigui o psicologicamente complessi tipici del genere.
Le dinamiche restano patinate, prive di reali pericoli e di quella tensione emotiva che ci si aspetta da un vero dark romance. L'etichetta di “unhinged” attribuita al protagonista viene smentita dai fatti: Elijah Moretti manca totalmente di quella ferocia e spietatezza che definiscono l'antieroe moralmente grigio, risultando spesso fin troppo mansueto. Chi cerca il brivido del dark romance, il conflitto psicologico e la tensione di un'ossessione tossica ma magnetica rimarrà inevitabilmente spiazzato e in parte deluso. Nonostante l'enorme divario tra le premesse esplosive della sinossi e la realtà edulcorata delle pagine, c'è da fare i conti con un dato di fatto: superato il disorientamento iniziale, l'esperienza di lettura si rivela comunque piacevole.
Se si rinuncia alla pretesa del dark romance, la storia di London Snow sa come coccolare il lettore, offrendo un ritmo comunque accattivante e quella tipica comfort-reading che si divora senza troppi pensieri. Ma è il momento di entrare nel vivo della trama. I protagonisti, Elijah Moretti e Blair Winthrop, sono legati da un'amicizia profonda che dura da anni. Condividono un legame unico: lei è l'unica persona al mondo capace di placare i demoni interiori di Elijah e di calmarlo unicamente con la sua presenza. Tuttavia, le rigide e spietate regole della Black Crown Society hanno sempre imposto un confine invalicabile tra di loro, impedendo di spingersi oltre. Eppure, sotto la superficie di quel controllo si cela un desiderio inespresso, un'attrazione bruciante che nessuno dei due ha mai osato pronunciare ad alta voce, chiedendosi costantemente cosa succederebbe se decidessero di infrangere le regole.
Con l'arrivo dell'ultimo anno scolastico e l'attesa, temuta cerimonia di accoppiamento, il rapporto tra Elijah e Blai subisce una svolta. Per Elijah la posta in gioco è troppo alta: non può permettere che Blair venga assegnata a qualcun altro. È disposto a tutto, a sfidare ogni tradizione e a compiere qualsiasi mossa pur di assicurarsi che lei sia sua, coadiuvato dai due fidati fratelli gemelli. Riuscirà a infrangere le regole e a demolire ogni barriera imposta dalla società, o finirà per soccombere al peso di un sistema implacabile? Lo scoprirete leggendo… È con un pizzico di rammarico che devo ammettere che nonostante sia una lettura scorrevole e piacevole, il romanzo si arena fin dalle prime pagine in una persistente e frustrante condizione di stallo. L'intera narrazione sembra procedere con il freno a mano tirato, cullando il lettore nella costante promessa di una svolta epocale o di una rivelazione sconvolgente che, tuttavia, non arriva mai. Il momento tanto atteso viene sistematicamente rimandato, lasciando un senso di vuoto pagina dopo pagina. Emblematica è la scena della Choosing Ceremony. In una dark accademia, un passaggio così cruciale dovrebbe rappresentare il fulcro emotivo e narrativo, un momento ad alto potenziale di dramma capace di far impennare il battito cardiaco. Al contrario, viene liquidato con una rapidità disarmante, spogliato di quella carica tensiva e di quel pathos indispensabili. Quando ci si avventura in trame che coinvolgono società segrete, misteri e cospirazioni, la tensione e il pericolo a mio avviso dovrebbero essere palpabili. Qui, invece, l'atmosfera risulta stranamente edulcorata e priva di quel brivido di autentico suspense. E quando l'autrice decide di sollevare il velo e svelare alcuni dei misteri più importanti costruiti fino a quel punto, la tanto attesa spiegazione si rivela confusa, fumosa e insoddisfacente. Si ha la netta impressione che l'autrice stessa si sia infilata in un vicolo cieco, accumulando interrogativi e segreti senza aver pianificato in anticipo una soluzione logica. Una buona trama basata su cospirazioni e segreti esige risposte chiare, colpi di scena coerenti e una chiusura che dia un senso al percorso. Al contrario, qui la risoluzione appare improvvisata, vaga e priva di quella solidità strutturale capace di chiudere il cerchio. Mi dispiace davvero tantissimo dover stroncare un libro di London Snow, ma purtroppo questa volta la lettura non mi ha convinta per niente. - Greta Booklovers
This is a dark romance full of mystery, secrets, and danger, with a side of sweet love, true adoration, and fun antics on and off the ice.
Blair is an Equestrian and a Chosen One, and is back at St. Augustine University right before the Black Crown Society holds a pairing ceremony, where she'll (a Chosen One) will be paired with a Saint. Nobody knows where or exactly why she had just disappeared until she shows up on campus again right before the ceremony. It's obvious there's something wrong, though.
Elijah Moretti is a hockey player, mafia heir, and a Saint who will also be part of the pairing ceremony. Now that Blair is back, he's not about to let anyone hurt her ever again. He's willing to do whatever it takes to keep her safe and make her his forever. There is literally nothing he won't do, including choosing violence, when it comes to her. She is the love of his life, and that's all that matters.
The leaders in the Black Crown Society are dangerous. Things like love and choices have no place in their agenda, and their children are just pawns. It's all about powerful families making choices that will strengthen them and keep them powerful. They really shouldn’t have just assumed everything would always go their way, though.
Elijah and Blair have a small group of people they can trust and who will help them whenever they need it. The kind of people who are loyal, have connections of their own, and are willing to get their hands dirty if necessary. They have a fight ahead of them, and friends like these are what they'll need to survive and win in the end.
There are also beautiful things, like lovable horses, two people exploring the physical side of their love for the first time together, and their found family, to name a few.
My thoughts: ✓ I shouldn't, but I love the level of unhinged Elijah is. How he is when he's playing hockey had me laughing. How much he adores Blair and protects her is sweet. He's not someone you want to be enemies with.
✓ Blair is a goddess, a survivor who should not be underestimated. She is fiercely loyal to her people, particularly to Elijah and his brothers (their Tripletts). Blair trusts and accepts Elijah without question. She wouldn't change a thing about him.
✓ I loved the Tripletts. Their antics were funny, but when it’s time, they will do anything for one another, and I mean anything. It’s a good thing all three of them are unhinged, because it just makes them work together that much better.
I would like to thank London Snow for the opportunity to read the ARC.
Unhinged Obsession drops you straight into the kind of high stakes, morally gray territory that this author does so well.
Elijah Moretti is everything the title promises…. a star hockey player, mafia heir, and Saints legacy whose carefully controlled world is already cracking under the weight of a deadly secret shared with his elite circle.
That pact/secret, sets a tense undercurrent from the opening pages, and the constant threat of exposure keeps the story humming with low level dread even as the romance takes center stage.
What i loved about the book was the complicated history between Elijah and Blair Winthrop.
She is not just the girl he is obsessively drawn to, she is the one person who has ever been able to soothe his temper, the childhood friend whose opinion has always mattered more than anyone else’s.
And when her sudden disappearance and equally abrupt return as a fractured version of herself created a delicious push/pull of hurt, longing, and suspicion.
Elijah’s conviction that she chose the Society over him fuels a raw, almost feral possessiveness is the author’s style that I love, its protective to the point of danger, tender in the moments he lets his guard down, and completely incapable of letting her go.
The Black Crown Society itself is rendered with the right mix of ritualistic pomp and quiet menace. Pairing ceremonies, legacy expectations, and the pressure to preserve prestige give the campus setting an oppressive feel that contrasts beautifully with the messy, private feelings developing between Elijah and Blair.
Their dual virginity and the slow, charged build of physical intimacy add another layer of intensity…. every touch carries the weight of years of unspoken desire and the fear that one wrong move could destroy everything they are trying to protect.
Blair’s secrets prove darker and more personal than Elijah anticipated, forcing him to confront both his own failings and the limits of the loyalty he has always sworn to the Society.
The result is a romance that is equal parts yearning and desperation, full of the obsessive “burn the world for her” energy that i have come to expect, yet grounded in real emotional stakes.
By the time the past begins to surface and loyalties are tested, the story has locked itself firmly around my heart. I loved the characters, the banter and the dark corners of the university had me gripped.
It is a gripping, atmospheric start to the Saints of the Black Crown Society series, dark enough to keep the pulse racing, romantic enough to make the obsession feel earned, and compulsive enough that finishing the last page only makes the wait for the next book feel longer.
First and foremost I would like to thank Author London Snow and Samantha Nicole for giving me the ARC Copy of the book in return for an honest review. Im truly grateful
To all my fellow readers who love a down-bad, obsessive, morally grey man who would burn the entire world down for his woman… this one is FOR YOU!!!
London Snow did it again, y’all!! 😭
I read my first London Snow book last year—Hayden and Madi’s story—and that was literally all it took for me to become obsessed with her books. I remember being sick and wanting an obsessive, dark, morally grey MMC, and her book came right up my alley. So when I heard about Unhinged Obsession, I already knew I NEEDED this one.
And somehow, I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy!!! 🤩 Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d get one, so seeing this book in my mail was definitely a moment.
This story follows Elijah and Blair, two childhood best friends, and y’all already know how I feel about childhood friends to lovers. It's one of my favourite tropes, so obviously I absolutely devoured this.
Add dark romance + secret society + an obsessive MMC and I was SOLD.
And Elijah Moretti???
That man's entire emotional support system is literally Blair. 😂 This man cannot function without her. The way he would kill for her, burn the world down for her, defy everything for her, and make sure everyone knows that Blair is the one person they better NEVER mess with???
I WAS GIGGLING.
I live for an MMC who is completely and utterly gone for his woman, and Elijah was exactly that.
But Blair was just as down bad for him. I loved how protective she was of him, how safe she felt when he was around, and especially how she was the one person who truly understood him. These two were so deeply in love even when they were supposedly "just friends" and I absolutely ate that up.
And the spice???
HAWTTTT. 🔥
That's all I'm saying because y'all need to experience that for yourselves. 👀
I also loved getting little snippets of Hayden, Callum and Tristan throughout the story. Those three are ALWAYS entertaining, but Hayden??? 😂😂 That man really decided Elijah and Blair's book was the perfect opportunity to steal the spotlight right at the end.
And now I NEED Noah and Ivy's story because my curiosity was THROUGH THE ROOF every time Noah appeared. London Snow, respectfully, I need that book ASAP. 👀
One thing I would've loved more of was seeing Elijah and Blair's childhood. I really wanted little glimpses into what they were like growing up, especially Elijah because I just KNOW that little boy was probably an absolute menace to Blair. 😂
Overall, I really enjoyed this book. If you love dark romance, obsessive MMCs, childhood friends to lovers, secret societies, morally grey men, protective characters and couples who are completely down bad for each other, definitely give this one a try.
London Snow continues to prove that her men are NOT normal and honestly… I don't want them to be. 😂❤️
