This was such a fun, addictive dark romance.

Elijah and Blair’s childhood friendship made their relationship feel so much deeper, and Elijah’s complete obsession with her was everything. He’s possessive and completely unhinged, but the soft, protective side he has with Blair made me love him even more.

I also really enjoyed the mystery surrounding the Black Crown Society. There were so many secrets, twists, and little reveals that kept me guessing, and I loved seeing the Castlebrook characters pop up along the way. The story moves quickly, but I honestly flew through it because there was always something happening.

I would have happily spent more time with Elijah and Blair, especially seeing more of their history together, but I still had such a good time with this.

Dark romance, hockey, secret societies, an obsessed MMC, and a couple who are completely gone for each other? Definitely my kind of chaos.

London Snow! What in the ever loving Castlebrook series is this?!

Where do I start?

The writing? Elementary at best.
The plot? Non existent.
The characters? Unremarkable.

So many loopholes. Lack of background story. Info dump. Time jumps. Skipping important scenes. And lame LAME dialogues.

I don't know what happened between Castlebrook series and this book, but it's definitely not good.

I love a grumpy, protective man! Elijah wasn’t going to let anyone mess with his woman. I loved his energy and dedication. I’m obsessed with how sweet and comforting he was with Blair. No matter the situation, he had Blair’s back!

I liked Blair, but her character didn’t really resonate with me as much as Elijah’s. I felt like she was a little too sweet for the world she was involved in, but that’s okay because she had her man.

I enjoyed the mysteries in the story. You know Blair’s life is in danger because of the society, so I was waiting for everything to blow up. The ending still caught me off guard, though! I really enjoyed how everything played out.

Hmmm I’m kind of disappointed? I mean we still get a super possessive and unhinged H, so that was good. The book is also completely safe (for me). But it just didn’t click with me like other London books. I do like the secret society angle, but everything was resolved way too easily. It just left me wanting more. There was also very limited spice (one ‘full on’ scene and one with just foreplay). I had good hopes the book would pick up still as I thought I had about 35 % to go, but then at 70% the book was over and the rest were previews of other books.

So, I did enjoy it, but was expecting more. I don’t know if I will continu this series (I might just go and re-read Tristan and Winter’s story 😏).

- No OW/OM (both were virgins and each other’s first and only). Some OM wanted h, but H would deal with them.
- No cheating
- No separation (apart from h being kidnappen for a while, H never gives up looking for her).

This was a typical London Snow book. A psycho MMC who would BURN it all down for the FMC. Add in a dash of secret society and tight friends circle with heavy sprinkles of smut.

There’s plenty of OM/OW drama, but never because the MCs want them. The MCs are ONLY interested in each other.


Possible spoilers ahead with recap.


Elijah (H), Ben, and Noah are the Moretti triplets. Mafia heirs. Also members of the secret society.

There’s a “chosen ceremony” coming up where a male is wedded to a female. None of them have any choice in the decision.

Blair (h) is Elijah’s BFF. She’s also a member of the secret society.
She’s the only person who can keep Elijah’s crazy in check. Blair doesn’t have much personality to me. I didn’t like her or hate her. It was more meh. 🫤

📍Both MC are virgins. I think this is explained away because of the secret society’s rules to remain pure for your partner. Idk Elijah doesn’t like touch from anyone except Blair.

The book starts where Elijah, Ben, Noah, Blair, Paris (I think that’s her name. She’s the triplets stepsis) and a few other people- I think Jonathan and Annabelle are all standing around a cliff. They are all talking smack to each other. Jonathan tells Elijah that he has inside information that Blair will be Jonathan’s wife at the ceremony. Elijah gets angry and says FK NO. Elijah pulls Blair away and she’s upset because she received her summons in to the ceremony. Elijah tells her not to worry because she will never be with anybody but him.

They share their first kiss together.
Then they all the heard the sound of somebody hitting the rocks below the cliff.
RIP Jonathan.

Then the book skips ahead to a few months later. We are at a hockey game. Elijah has been in a very bad mood for months. We find out that Blair disappeared after that night on the cliffs. Some villain is smirking during the hockey game and tells Elijah that Blair will be his. And he also informs Elijah that Blair is back in town.

All Elijah keeps thinking in his POV is how he’s going to find Blair, and make sure she never leaves him again. MINE MINE MINE- FULL STOP 😂

We know from Blair’s POV that she was kidnapped by a shady sect of the secret society and held prisoner. They were trying to get her to flip on the triplets, but she didn’t. She now has scars all down her back from their torture. Blair knows she needs to stay away from Elijah to protect him. *snort* that’s not gonna happen.

The reunion between the MCs is intense, and thankfully, Elijah knows immediately that something bad happened to Blair. So there is no bullying or being mean to her. I’m so thankful that the endless “no communication” didn’t go on throughout this whole book.

They’re all in some private, super rich college. I think they’re in the 3rd year- so maybe they’re all around 21/22??
There’s also a lot is scenes at the horse farm. Blair is big into horse stuff. Idk it didn’t interest me so I skimmed these parts.

Anyway, you have this upcoming mating/marriage ceremony coming up, plus you have some unknown villains doing shady stuff. Somebody definitely has “I know what you did last summer” vibes going on.

These characters all mix with the Castlebrook series characters. (Pucking Obsessed is book 1- Hayden and Madi) Camden also makes an appearance. He’s able to find a loophole for the MCs plus they get material that’s used over the secret society for blackmail (which is basically the triplet’s dad)

The spice. There are a few sexual tension moments, leading up to the big sex event. I’d say this happens around the 50% mark. Part of this is done because of the society’s rule that Blair must be a virgin for the ceremony- and now she isn’t. 😂
Even though they were both virgins, they didn’t seem to have any problems figuring out what to do. They both liked to say good boy, good girl.

The ceremony- was intense. You could tell something big was coming. When it was Blair’s turn to get her mate- I was holding my breath. lol then when Elijah moved out of line from where he was and stood by her. Awe. We find out HE ALREADY MARRIED BLAIR. ❤️ Then he calls out his dad and basically blackmails the secret society. Blair’s dad is also scum. Basically, every single adult is awful in this series.

Then we find out who the main villains were. It wasn’t that big of a shocker. (I remember in Book 1 of the Castlebrook series being absolutely shocked at who the villain was)

It’s a few weeks later, and Elijah and Blair are happy. They go to a hockey game and we are reunited with the whole Castlebrook characters. I laughed that Hayden was still crazy obsessed with Madi.

It sounds like Ben and Paris’ book is next.

My negatives about this book are mild. I was entertained and enjoyed it for the most part. There are some plot holes in the secret society stuff, but hopefully they will be filled in with the upcoming books.

I do think this is VERY similar to the Castlebrook series.
I always get a little annoyed when the friend group seamlessly blends together like a perfect puzzle piece. For example- Blair is already BFFs with Paris (who probably is the heroine in the next book) Paris is the triplet’s stepsis- so it has set that trope up between Ben/Paris.


If you don’t mind uber OTT/P psychopaths with breeding kinks; who will beat somebody to ☠️ for even looking at their woman, then you may like this.

I will 💯 read the next one in this series.

3.5 rounded up. Unhinged Obsession is Book 1 in the Saints of the Black Crown Society. This is Elijah and Blair's story. You knew something was going to happen after the summer before another year of college when something horrific happens involving several children of Black Crown Society members. Blair disappears and then returns at the beginning of the of the semester, and when she does, she’s determined to stay away from Elijah. But Elijah has other plans and with the Choosing coming up he is determined to whatever is needed to make sure she's his. These two are bound to not be torn apart and willing to do anything to endure that happens.

If you like your heroes completely insane for their girls, this is the author you should be reading. This one is set around a secret society, but it has her signature plot lines of hockey players and their complete, unhinged, feral devotion to their soulmates. There is violence, murder, so beware. (No SA tho)

Dual virgins. 100% faithful, they belong to each other completely. Unwanted OM/OW. heroine is attacked by unknown enemies (not on page). HEA with epilogue

Unhinged Obsession is a dark romance filled with secret societies, the touch-her-and-die trope, and a mystery surrounding an elite group of friends determined to keep a secret hidden. I loved Elijah as the MMC. Although he had a possessive nature, he would burn down the world for Blair and still carry an inhaler for her, while Blair can hold her own against the Black Crown Society and is the only one who can temper Elijah’s fiery temper. I devoured this book in one sitting, and I can’t wait to see what is next for the Moretti brothers.

ARC Review

So many notes and annotations oh my gosh
Highly, HIGHLY, recommend this book for a quick but incredibly exciting read!

First off, Caiden and Chapel???
Kings of Castlebrook cameos um immediately yes please 10/10
There are soo many layers and plot twists that make the book so incredible I just wish it was longer and more drawn out. If it had some more bulk to it to really fill out the plot around all the twists and had lengthier transitions between the pivotal moments it would be sooo good. Dont get me wrong, this book is absolutely still incredible in more ways than one but it also has so much potential for more.

I feel like it’s pretty rare to read a book that has some elements of that rushing feeling but still ends up being amazing but honestly it’s also just good promotion for more of London Snow’s books because now I’m probably gonna go devour the Kings of Castlebrooke series lmaoo

Not only was the spice absolutely spicing but the plot was just so exciting and I felt like everytime something or one situation was resolved another was forming and not even in a ‘this is mind-numbing’ or ‘here we go again’ kind of way. Each point connected to the last in such unexpected and just nail biting kind of ways that it was so fun to read! I finished the first 60% of the book the first day and was reading literally any chance I got to finish it, and let me tell you that last 30-40% of the book was actually insane!

The characters are all so vivid and different and oh my gosh Noah and Elijah are duking it out for favorite character position right now. Elijah is just…ugh how to even describe this man. Perfection. Delicious. Possessive. Singular. Like, absolutely swoon, and the dual virgin thing for both the mmc and mfc made their relationship so much sweeter, adorable and just all around swoony besides when he’s threatening to murder people for even looking at Blair but that’s just another for the pro’s column lmaoo. And Noah? Oh my gosh, the funniest character in the entire book, hands down. That man is so unserious in the most serious situations I absolutely love him hahahah The unknown and spotty dynamic with him and Ivy has me sooo curious and itching to read about their history/relationship(?)

Absolutely a 10/10 book for plot, characters, the vibrancy and emotion, the world building and crossovers with Castlebrook. The only reason I won’t say 5 stars is just because, like I mentioned, there is so much potential to make this book more consistent and flow smoother, it does have that slightly rushed vibe to it, which again not a bad thing at all in this case, I just wish there was more. And the second reason being that there were quite a few typos, grammatical issues, etc throughout the book. I think there were more chapters than not that had errors but it didn’t take away from the flow or understanding of the text at all except for in chapter 6, I think it was, in a couple of different spots. But beginning to end, all the questions and temporary confusion I had at first were quickly or eventually made sense and were answered in literally jaw dropping ways!

As soon as she started teasing this book I knew that I was going to eat this book up. It had tropes I love plus who doesn't love a man OBSESSED with one girl and one girl only.

Elijah and Blair have been best friends since they were younger and as they got older Blair started looking at him differently. When one summer night everything changes and Blair, Elijah and their friend group vowed never to speak about it again.

Elijah has been lost without Blair, he doesn't understand why she just up and left and hasn't reached out since. He can't live without her and anything and everyone just irritates him to the core. As soon as his teammate mentions her name he doesn't understand why she didn't tell him she was back.

Blair has been through it since she disappeared. She got taken to Onyx Dominion and went through it protecting Elijah and his brothers. She makes it her mission to stay far away from Elijah but that doesn't last long when he goes and finds her.

I could not put this book down because it had me hooked from the beginning. I love Blair and Elijah together, they were destined for each other. The way he protected her and would burn the world down for her melted my heart. I definitely didn't expect some of the twists that this book put me through. Then the ending I definitely didn't expect the ending because it had me on the edge of my seat.

I was excited to get this as an ARC as I love London Snow and how she writes incredible male characters that are utterly obsessed with their girls and will burn the world for them.
Unhinged Obsession is a dark college romance that ties in with the Castlebrook series -give it a read because it’s top tier.


I struggled to connect with the characters, maybe there was just too many to keep up with, it has been a long summer so it could just be me. The plot I found was a little jumpy and I needed to go and reread previous chapters to keep up.

I enjoyed the storyline, secrets and the mystery behind this read. Elijah's devotion and obsession for Blair. Their connection and love between each other, even whilst being forbidden within their circle. The plot regarding the elite secret society and character involvement was very intriguing and enjoyed the mystery behind this. I do realize it was on the shorter side of a read, but felt it was missing important aspects of the storyline to make it more cohesive.

We finally get The Black Crown Society!! I’ve been following along with it through her other series, so when I heard this one was finally coming out, I was SO excited.

And THESE TROPES?! 👏🏻
Dark college hockey + secret society + unhinged, obsessed mafia heir + breeding kink?! I was READY.

Blair and Elijah Moretti, one of the Moretti triplets.

These two are best friends who are so obviously in love with each other. I really liked their relationship and the whole best friends-to-lovers aspect. Elijah definitely had that obsessed, possessive energy I was expecting from him. 😂

Something happens one summer that completely changes everything. The friend group gets separated, and Blair ends up being taken by one of the societies.

Unfortunately, this one just didn’t hit for me the way I expected it to. 😭

There were so many different pieces involving the secret societies, the different groups, their history, and everything happening behind the scenes that I found myself confused more than intrigued. I kept feeling like I was missing something or trying to remember how everyone and everything connected.

I also felt like there was SO much potential here. The tropes are literally everything I normally love, and I was really excited about Elijah and Blair, but I just never became as invested in the story as I wanted to be.

And that makes me extra sad because I felt similarly about the last book she released. 😭 I’ve really enjoyed her books in the past, so I keep hoping the next one grabs me again.

Overall, I didn’t hate it, but I definitely went into this expecting to be obsessed, and unfortunately I wasn’t.

Unhinged Obsession introduces readers to the Moretti triplets—Elijah, Ben, and Noah—mafia heirs raised to become loyal servants, or “saints,” of the Black Crown Society.
The story takes a dark turn during the summer before another year of college when something horrific happens involving several children of Black Crown Society members, including Elijah’s best friend, Blair, and his stepsister, Paris. The group makes a pact to never speak about that night again. But when Blair mysteriously disappears, keeping that promise becomes much harder.

Blair doesn’t return until the beginning of the semester, and when she does, she’s determined to stay away from Elijah. As a daughter of the Black Crown Society, Blair has always followed the rules, but that didn’t protect her from falling into the hands of the Society’s darkest sect. Believing that distancing herself from Elijah is the only way to keep him safe, she tries desperately to resist the pull between them.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars) — A deliciously dark romance with cult-y vibes, a perfectly unhinged MMC, mutual obsession, and top-tier spice! 👑🔪

London Snow is a recently discovered author for me, starting with Pucking Obsessed. I've been hooked ever since, so it's been a real treat coming back to this interconnected universe! Snow proves once again that she is absolutely amazing at writing completely unhinged, definitely morally grey, utterly obsessive, and possessive men. 🖤

The Setup & Characters: 👥
• Blair (FMC): She is one of the children of an elite circle called The Black Crown Society. (Very cult-y vibes! 🕯️) The children get paired and married off to other children in the society when they come of age. They have absolutely no say in who they marry; it's just their way of life. However, Blair has only ever wanted her best friend, Elijah.
• Elijah (MMC): He is one-third of the Moretti triplets. He's got some serious anger issues and is definitely unhinged, so people tend to avoid him. That is perfectly acceptable to him because he doesn't like anyone... except Blair. He's been in love with her forever.

What Worked (The Dynamic): ✅
As London Snow is known for, she wrote Elijah with the perfect amount of crazy. This man will go to any and all lengths to keep Blair by his side and protect her, even if that means going to war with the Black Crown Society. 🩸

What I loved the most, though, was that Blair was just as gone for Elijah. She was his soft place to land, but at the same time, she was just as fierce, loyal, and protective of him as he was of her. Mutual obsession is top-tier! 🫶

The Spice: 🌶️🔥
This book was deliciously dirty. The smut was incredibly hot but wasn't overbearing to the plot. Both of our main characters were virgins, and there was a lot of primal play and a breeding kink, which makes for some of my absolute favorite spicy scenes to read! 🥵🌲

Final Thoughts: 💭
All in all, this was a great addition to the universe! I cannot wait for the next release! 📚🏃‍♀️💨

I really enjoyed this book! I’ll admit that I was a little confused at the beginning because there were quite a few characters, secrets, and things happening at once, but as I got further into the story, everything started to make more sense and I found myself really enjoying it.

I especially loved Elijah and his obsession with Blair. Their relationship and the connection between them were definitely my favorite part of the book. Elijah is completely obsessed with her and would do anything to protect her, which made his character so fun to read.

I also really enjoyed the secret society aspect and all the mystery surrounding it. There were so many things I wanted to understand and uncover as I kept reading.

My only complaint is that the book felt too short. I would have loved a little more development and more time with the characters, especially because I was just getting invested when it ended.

That said, I’m SO excited for the other Moretti brothers’ books. I already need to know more about them!

If you enjoy dark romance, secret societies, obsession, possessive heroes, and a relationship where he is completely gone for her, I definitely recommend giving this one a try.

okay so this book literally stole my entire night and I’m not even mad about it 🥹🖤

elijah and blair’s past is so deliciously heavy—the resentment, the hidden secrets, and that intense, suffocating tension every single time they’re in the same room together? I was gripping my book so tight! miss snow really knows how to write a man who is completely, undeniably lost in his own obsession.

he is the absolute definition of a walking red flag, but the way he completely unravels the second blair is back in his orbit? chef’s kiss 🤌✨ watching his cold, secret-society facade totally crumble just because she’s near him had me kicking my feet. plus, their late-night confrontation scene in the library? absolute poetry.

i docked it a star mainly because the pacing hit a weird slump right around the 70% mark where the plot dragged its feet a bit before ramping up for the climax!

but honestly? super spicy, insanely fast-paced for the most part, and Elijah is 100% added to my list of favorite unhinged book boyfriends. 🎀✨

This man is absolutely unhinged for his best friend. He will do anything and kill anyone to protect what’s his. And she will do the same. These two have loved each other for as long as they could remember but with secret societies and masked men trying to keep them apart. But with friends in high places, you get what you want. To marry the love of your life and keep her safe. This was sooooooo good and I cannot wait to read more about the morertti triplets 💥

Elijah and Blair are absolutely wonderful together a true love that lasts a lifetime but we are met with a big problem last year their group last a member or so they thought now they must figure out who is attacking not only Blair but the others!!

This is Elijah and Blair’s story and it’s so good. Lies, betrayal, secret societies, this book has it all. These two grew up together and are basically endgame. They truly understand each would do anything for each other. Thats why he doesn’t really understand why she goes away. Was it her choice or did someone make her? I loved the mystery and suspense of this storyline. It was unique. And I’m always a fan of the mysterious secret societies. This was a great story.

London..you turned the heat up with this one. Hot Damn!

Elijah and Blair are two characters that always intrigued me. I knew that Elijah was crazy about Blair but to the lengths he would go to be with her, I had no idea. Their story was so damn hot. When Blair called him "good boy", I was a goner and so was Elijah! Getting their story and just how deep their friendship went.. SWOON! Her touch calmed him. Everything about her was his peace! SWOONING SO HARD!

The protective nature that Elijah and his brothers have over the girls they love is obsessive and I can't get enough. Talk about crazy in love. I am here for it. I was furious and somewhat panicking with those trying to keep Elijah and Blair apart! Trying to figure out where London was going to take us and how they could possibly end up together with the rituals took me for a ride. We know that Elijah is a very powerful man and will burn the world down for Blair but what really got me in their story was how strong Blair was (you'll find out when you read). Because of her, Elijah was always protected and he has no idea the lengths she went.

So much was packed into this story! I always love the crossover characters and how they play a role in each others books. 4.25/5 stars!

I swear I become more and more obsessed with this author and her books with each new release! This story was the perfect example of why. It definitely starts out with a bang, which sucked me in and didn't let up. The Black Crown Society was intriguing, but definitely made me h@te them, well the older members anyways. There was suspense, a few twist I NEVER saw coming, some action and even a little angst. All together this had me eating up every word. Not to mention the fantastic side characters, the delicious spice, and Elijah in all his unhinged glory. My heart also broke for Blair a few times, but Elijah was able to piece us both back together! I can't wait for more in this series!
