One note is all it took to fall for him. One look is all she needed to jump.
One summer evening, Luca steadies himself in the kitchen of his father’s restaurant. A simple flick of his wrist and the sauté pan sizzles with life. A far cry from the dreariness that fills his days. Another plate, another customer, another day turns into an evening of loneliness. Until a familiar sound catches his ear.
A stranger sits at Luca’s father’s piano playing Bella Ciao, bringing sweet memories to the forefront of the evening. Nostalgia of him singing along as his father’s fingers danced along the ivory keys hangs heavy in the air. He hadn’t heard the poorly tuned piano played in years, not since his father’s stroke.
Upbeat and exciting, full of emotion, Luca stops the kitchen with his baritone bass rendition. What he didn’t expect was the most beautiful woman he’d ever seen stand and join. Her perfectly soprano tone harmonized with the bass of his voice, a perfect melody that Cupid himself struck in the heart.
Aurora sat quietly at a birthday dinner for her best friend. For as long as she could remember, the feeling of loneliness had always hung in her soul. Cheers of happiness rung out all around her, but that pang of sadness sits foremost in her mind. The desire to feel seen, understood, wanted… loved. Surrounded by people who love and care for her, still, she couldn’t shake the distant feeling that no one could meet. Until him…
This was such a great book. One that I can reread and never get tired of it.
This started out slow however I promise it gets good! How 2 random people meet and how quick the spice comes into play and then how their lives come to a halt. This is a must read!
If you are looking for a beautifully written, sweet and captivating romance, look no further. A.K. Otsana brings us two people who, through a piano, connect in a way that fills your heart. Cadenza is a slow-burning romance; however, as you turn the pages, the chemistry and heat fill those pages.
Luca feels his life is void of love, working at his family's restaurant; however, all that changes when a beautiful voice and woman plays the piano in the restaurant. Aurora, a beautiful and talented singer, never thought that sitting down at a piano and singing would change her life forever. There is a pull toward one another and this is where the sparks ignite. Their road to happiness is not paved smoothly but with bumps and turns they navigate to reach the love they share for one another. Reading this book put a smile on my face and filled my heart with joy. I recommend picking up Luca and Aurora's love story. You will not be disappointed.
Book Review Cadenza By A.K. Otsana Five Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I love how both Luca & Aurora get their own introduction to me as a reader. It helps understand both of them & their families more. They both yearn for true, lasting love. Both have love for food & singing/music. They connect on levels that I haven't read in a while. Realizing who Lucas aunt was mind blown! But then everything that happened after!?! I love how they went against their fathers for each other! I absolutely love their story & ending!
Another amazing book that I really needed to lift my spirit in a difficult time. I highly recommend this book and all its passion. Luca and Aurora are an amazing couple and this just goes to prove that sometimes love at first sight can lead to so much beauty.
