Okay, so this book had so much potential. It’s a second chance, best friend’s older brother, billionaire romance with a bit of found family thrown in, basically everything I love in one story.

We follow Bianca Kennedy, who comes back to her hometown after five years away for work. She reconnects with her three best friends (their bond was honestly one of my favorite parts), but also runs into Jason Archer, the guy she left behind. He’s definitely not thrilled to see her again, and honestly… can you blame him?

The story is super emotional, full of grief, heartbreak, and that heavy kind of love that doesn’t go away even when you want it to. Bianca’s a broken soul, and you can really feel how lost she is. Some of the writing was so beautiful. There were lines that just hit right in the chest. But at the same time, there was way too much inner monologue. Like, I love getting inside a character’s head, but it started to feel like I was stuck there for chapters. If the book were trimmed down by about 150 pages, it would’ve been so much stronger. The beginning especially dragged; by 20%, I was still waiting for something to actually happen.

Now, the romance part? Loved it. Bianca and Jason together were electric, that mix of tension, history, banter and lingering feelings just worked. You can feel how much they still love each other even when they’re trying not to. But I do think Jason deserved a bit more from Bianca emotionally. She did apologize, but the guy was heartbroken and carried it for years. I wanted a little more payoff there, more acknowledgment of what he went through.

Bianca herself… oh girl. I liked her, but she tested my patience sometimes. She really needs some therapy, no joke. Still, her pain made sense, and I did feel for her.

Overall, this book had all the right ingredients, emotional depth, found family, love that hurts and heals but it just needed tighter pacing and a little less internal overthinking. Still, the romance had me rooting for them the whole way.

Emotional, angsty, beautifully written in parts but a bit too heavy in others. Could’ve been amazing with some editing, but I still enjoyed the love story at its core.

Healing Love honestly gave me more emotions than I was ready for. I picked it up expecting a simple best-friend ’s-brother romance, and suddenly I’m staring at two broken people who are clearly still in love but refuse to admit it 😭

Bianca… my girl.
The quiet pain she carries? It hit me hard. She’s soft, hurting, and still trying to protect everyone but herself. I wanted to reach in and hug her.

And Jason.
Sir walks in with calm, controlled energy like he’s unaffected, but the moment Bianca appears, he’s done for. His silent intensity, the protectiveness, the way he feels everything without saying much.

But the highlight for me?
The friendships.
I loved how their friends stood by them without drama or insecurity. Pure loyalty, pure warmth. The way they supported, called out, and protected both Bianca and Jason made the story feel so wholesome. That friend group genuinely felt like a family, and it added so much comfort to the heavier moments.

And the plot?
I did NOT see it coming. Just when I thought I had it figured out, boom, twist. For a debut novel, this was seriously impressive. The emotional depth and pacing were executed exceptionally well.

If you love complicated characters, quiet pining, protective men, and solid friendships, Healing Love is worth reading.

So beautiful, so emotional, so heartwarming and heartbreaking. OMG !! The way this love story pulled me right in . The degree to which I fell completely in love and all the emotions I was reeling from that I never ever. Saw coming. BHUMIKA has truly outdone herself . . Healing LOVE is Bianca and Jason’s story . And it’s epic . No really , seeing everything these two went through to find their happy ending well it wrecked me , just wrecked me . But of course BHUMIKA managed to put my heart right back together. I mean , smiling, screaming, laughing, sobbing and cheering. I did it all the entire way through. Both characters have so many different layers and their story is anything but easy . Yes it’s filled with complexities . It’s a journey filled with angst and tragedy , intrigue and suspense , slow burn , forbidden love , drama , love , passion ,pain , secrets, healing , second chances, family and friendships, unexpected surprises and much much more.

"This is an intense story of homecoming, truth and forever love. This was a new to me author and this story kept my attention and the pages flew by quickly.

This begins the story or four girls who grew into successful strong woman but never faltered on their love and support for each other. As well as, the men that would do absolutely anything to keep them safe. Bianca (Bee) left 5 years ago after tragedy put her into a spiral she wasn't ready to face. When her job brings her home, the truths for her life are slowly exposed. Jason only ever loved Bianca and even in that love, he let her leave. Now that she is home he is determined to finally be able to live in their love.

Secrets, schemes and self doubt all present itself throughout this story. Parts are gritty and dark, but through the darkness, there is light at the end of the journey, and buckle up because it is a doozy"

Jason and Bianca

This was a long emotional journey.

Bianca was just existing when she returned home after a moving away. The scene when she returns to see her girl squad was very sweet and very emotional. The love they feel for each other jumped off the pages.

I love Bianca and Jason together. Their chemistry was amazing. They share a history of heart ache and misunderstanding. The hurst was still evident when they lay eyes on each other again. They have a lot to overcome but the fight is worry it.

The writing was good and very descriptive at times. This is the first in the series and will be a standalone.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Bianca and Jason’s story.
Jason is Bianca’s best friends’ brother, and 5-years ago she left her childhood home behind for his sake. Fate destines that Bianca and Jason cross paths again when their worlds collide.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, emotions, loss, grief, heartbreak, tragedy, secrets, deception, trust, revelations, complex characters, healing, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and heartwarming page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this author whose work I recommend.

This book was a rollercoaster ride that had my heart and emotions all over the place. But, I fell in love with both these characters so easily. Both of these characters were missing the other and it was so fun to read how they got there.
