There’s nothing like starting over… until it all starts to fall apart. Moving to the English countryside was supposed to bring Declan and me closer. A slower pace. A new beginning for our family. Time to fall in love again. So when he suggests hiring a nanny, I say yes. Chelsea is soft-spoken, attentive, perfect with the kids. Almost too perfect. There’s something off about her smile. The way she lingers when she thinks I’m not watching. Things begin happening that I can’t explain. Instead of growing closer, our family starts to be torn apart. And suddenly, it feels like I’m not the one being taken care of. I’m the one being replaced.
***Make You Mine is a stand alone stalker romance novella for readers above the age of eighteen. Please ensure you read the content warning at the start of the book.***
Sienne has a thing for dark and brooding alphas and the diverse women who love them. She enjoys writing stories where lines are blurred and the romance is dark and delicious. In her spare time, she unwinds with a nice glass of wine and Netflix binge.

I’ve been on a suspense thriller kick lately and generally go into books blind. Though truthfully, if Sienne Vega writes it, I will read. It doesn’t matter what it is. Make You Mine is her newest, keeping me on my toes. So much that it’s the type of book you won’t want to put down.
If you’re a prologue skipper, don’t do it. It’s essential to the story. But that’s what makes a good thriller writer stand out from others. Every plot piece is necessary as it will connect and influence other things throughout. It won’t just come out of left field with the reader going, “Say what now?” Make You Mine does this with the characters.
Declan and Amerie are husband and wife with two kids who recently moved to the English countryside and decided to hire Chelsea, the soft-spoken, perfect nanny. The three POVs were not confusing; they kept me trying to guess what would happen and the intent. Also, there was amazing spice, just like in Sienne Vega’s other books.
“Make You Mine” was a fun read. Reading the inner workings of the stalker as she pretended to help while secretly planning was creepy. I also loved the little bits of intuition of the Willow and her mother, those slight feelings of knowing something wasn’t quite right. This book gets two thumbs up for me!
Pour a stiff bourbon, because this story is equal parts obsession, paranoia, and gut-clenching suspense.
In Make You Mine, we follow Amerie and Declan, a married couple trying to start over with their two kids in the quiet English countryside. Declan’s career is demanding, Amerie is juggling her writing deadlines and chronic illness, and life feels overwhelming. So when he suggests hiring a nanny, Amerie reluctantly agrees. Enter Chelsea—the “perfect” nanny who is too good to be true.
And that’s when the cracks start to show.
Chelsea isn’t just helpful—she’s insidious. Every smile, every lingering glance, every little manipulation pulls Amerie deeper into doubt. Is she imagining things? Or is she being pushed out of her own family? The tension builds page by page, turning what should’ve been a fresh start into a nightmare of obsession and control.
Why it worked for me: Three POVs that give you just enough insight to keep you second-guessing.
Amerie is one of the most relatable heroines I’ve read this year—an overworked mom, imperfect but fiercely loving, and easy to root for.
Chelsea is an antagonist who feels terrifyingly real. Her calculated unraveling of the family had me wanting to scream “kick her out!” at my Kindle.
The suspense doesn’t just live in big “gotcha” moments—it seeps into everyday details, making even a nanny’s smile feel sinister.
Spice & Darkness: This isn’t the spiciest of Sienne Vega’s books, but the heat between Declan and Amerie shines in a way that makes their marriage feel authentic and worth fighting for. The darkness comes less from gore and more from the creeping, suffocating dread of being watched… replaced.
This novella is what happens when Fatal Attraction collides with Single White Female—but with a married couple you’ll actually root for until the end.
🥃 The Bourbon Sipping Bibliophile’s Verdict: Sharp, unsettling, and compulsively readable. A psychological stalker romance that lingers like a burn at the back of your throat.
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐💫 (4.5/5) Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️ (slow burn, emotional intimacy, and a dash of heat)
My Rating System: 1⭐️: The book didn’t hold my interest and/or had significant issues that overshadowed any redeeming qualities for me, but generally not my cup of tea. Most likely did not finish the book. 2⭐️: The book didn’t quite resonate with me, and while my experience wasn’t remarkable, I did finish it. It had some redeeming qualities and potential but fell short in execution. Recommendable, though with some reservations. 3⭐️: Good read, but didn’t quite stand out. Still worth recommending to others. 4⭐️: Really enjoyed it and stayed engaged throughout. Would read the book again. Definitely recommendable. 5⭐️: Incredible writing that made me deeply connect with the characters. I was completely absorbed in the world and didn’t want it to end. This book stayed with me even when I wasn’t reading it. I'd gladly reread it and highly recommend it to everyone!.

In her latest amazing novel, Sienne Vega gives her readers a different type of stalker story. In a departure from a more typical trope that finds a couple meeting and developing a relationship, her main characters are happily and passionately married with a beautiful family. The stalker in Make You Mine is their scarily, delusional new nanny! Due to a promotion in his job, Declan and Amerie move to a quiet village in the English countryside. Hopefully in this bucolic setting, Amerie will be able to manage the household, keep a handle on her diabetes and meet the deadline on her next book. These goals prove to be unmanageable, and the couple reluctantly looks for help. Enter Chelsea, an absolutely paragon of nanny-virtues; in fact, she is so incredible she appears to be too good to be true. As usual, Ms. Vega gives her readers a beautifully crafted story. Declan and Amerie are incandescent, and their love permeates their entire existence. I loved that we were privy to the inner dialogue of Chelsea, and I read the entire book with trepidation, wondering where and how she would go off the rails. The final confrontation is viscerally harrowing, and Ms. Vega skillfully layers the scene with vivid action and desperation. Awesome story!!
Favorite Line: But I’ll walk through fire if it means getting to Declan and the kids.
Make You Mine. "Oh, can't you see You belong to me?"*
This one held my attention through the entire novel. I've never read this author's work to compare it to, but I actually liked the plot. I did enjoy that the three main adult characters each had POV's of their own. The daughter as the side character actually worked very well too.
A part I recall, which was puzzling in the beginning, was Chelsea left her house to go to work "and left Claire behind". This led to a lot of thought for me and eventually it came to light. It was also pleasing Declan didn’t give in to Chelsea as Gareth did. I actually read to mid-book fully expecting that is where the plot would go. (Trying not to add any spoilers here!)
I've only read one or two other stalker books prior to this one. I have no triggers, so I didn't feel this was as dark as most other books I have read, and the spice (2 -🌶) quite a bit milder. The romance between the MFC/MMC was sweet as was their backstory. I was glad I did choose to read this, and will probably read this author's work again. It was very well written.
*The Police - "Every Breath You Take". "Every move you make. ..... Every step you take. I'll be watching you."
Make You Mine is excellent and unhinged! This story takes the stalker trope you thought you knew in a completely different direction. Amerie is the most relatable FMC that I have come across quite some time. She’s an overworked mom with a chronic illness that still feels like she has to prove herself and be the best wife, mom and writer there is. Declan is the handsome Irish MMC that absolutely loves his wife and doubts on his children, but sometimes forgets his priorities when it comes to being a businessman. And then there’s Chelsea a well written antagonist that is so out of pocket I kept rereading like did she really just do that. Make You Mine is a great read and will keep you thoroughly entertained.
This book is a true testament of just how important it is to be careful about who you let into your inner circle.
This book has chemistry, passion, and everything that is expected from SV. There’s not much I would change about this book. Except I would an additional detail or two. But that’s my demented mind…lol…
This book is definitely one of my summertime reads.

This is yet another reason why you shouldn't start with babysitters. We're drawn into the lives of Amerie and Declan and their two adorable children, a baby and a five-year-old, and their terrible nanny, Chelsea. It started well, but soon things changed, and you had a nanny from hell who tormented you and wanted to put her ten feet under the ground. All in all, it's a fantastic story with characters that hold your attention from beginning to end.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Some parts are very disturbing especially involving the disgusting nanny. I almost closed the book but I pushed myself to keep going and I’m glad I did. If you’re a dark romance person you’ll probably eat this up. I’m not much of a dark romance person but I still enjoyed this story. The ending is a bit brutal but I’m happy they got their happy ending.
I was not expecting anything as frightening as this turned out to be. Phenomenal suspense and unexpected twists that kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole book. Wonderful characters and the storyline is top notch. Sienna Vega blew my mind with this book. Can't wait to read more like it. Highly recommend reading.

Ms. Vega has written another great story. Declan and Amerie were a wonderful couple with two kids, a five-year-old and a baby. Declan suggests to his wife that she should look into getting a nanny. This is when the trouble starts. The nanny turns into your worst nightmare. All I can say is I wanted to throw her out of a window. This book will keep you on the edge until the very end.
Amerie and Declans move to the English country side with their two kids and hire nanny Chelsea, and their lives will never be the same again, dark twisting, desires, obsession, stalker, suspense and more.
I liked the stalker in the family aspect. a bit 'single white female' type. The nanny is not to be trusted. Quite real when they start off very nice because they want what you have. A very good read.
OMG this was good. Amarie and Declan I love them. Chelsea was crazy and delusional. I recommend this book to my sisters. I hope you do a part two what happened to her sister
That’s not your usual romance story - it’s a full blown thriller. A married couple hires a sweet nanny for their kids and it sure didn’t turned out exactly how they expected it. A really good thriller with a good level of spice.
