Really awful! I was looking forward to reading this book it was so disappointing and it left me feeling angry I hated what I read of this book I could not finish it it was terrible. The writing was robotic the situations were so stupidly ridiculous. The MF was an innocent virgin supposedly never even touched herself. The MF took her to a sex club made her watch other people have sex and then spread her in front of them and gave her her first orgasm with them watching just creepy. A virgin who's never even touched herself would not respond positively to being exposed with a bunch of people watching. A mafia man is supposed to protect his woman not expose her to other men really disgusting. It could have been a good book but it was just creepy. I would not recommend this book to anyone as a matter of fact I would recommend that you do not waste your time or money really disgusting. I don't think I will read anything from this author again. Apparently she doesn't understand what a mafia romance is. Mafia men kill someone for looking at their woman not parade her around like a trashy sex worker.
Darkest Sin is the first book in the four book Dark Mafia Series. But can be read as a standalone and has a guaranteed happy ending. A spicy standone full-length romance with world building individuals and a twisty and fascinating storyline that captures the reader attention from the start and keeps you riveted and turning the pages. Rollercoaster of Sin This was an interesting book....It's a dark mafia romance with a suspenseful marriage of convenience storyline. Ok, let's get to it...
FULL REVIEW & POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD: This story is about Natalya Petrov & Mikhail Novikoff. Mikhail is a powerful Bratva king. This man is ruthless, broody, deliciously handsome, & a complete Dom 🥵 He took one look at Natalya & wants her, bad. And he's gonna make sure that happens, no matter the cost. 🥴
So Natalya is a ballerina & has the lead part in Swan Lake. She's young, beautiful, & innocent in all sense of the matter, even though her father is also a Bratva king. He's always shielded her from the business & her family is extremely close, so when her father is mysteriously killed, her whole world comes crumbling down. Her dispicable uncle Denis swoops in to claim the throne, & he's a grade-A douchbag 🤬 Denis the menace has always been jealous of what his brother had, which is why he has plans to marry off Natalya & her sisters to horrible men to gain power. Well, Mikhail is not gonna let that happen, so he makes a deal with her. Marry him instead. So, what's a girl to do right? 🤷♀️🤦♀️
Ok, now hang on tight cause you dive head first down a rollercoaster full of betrayal, turf wars, grief, lies, violence, heartbreak, & a love that saves them both. You honestly feel like you're going through emotional whip|ash as the story unfolds. And let me tell you, I fall hard for a touch her & ☠️, will burn the world down for you MMC. Mikhail definitely holds up to the hype 🤌
Some afterthoughts...The plot was plottin, there were twists & turns at every corner, & we get a hot, protective MMC. However...I'm a little torn with this book. It explores some bdsm kinks, which I'm definitely ok with, but I honestly don't care for the whole daddy dom/little innocent girl thing. It's not triggering, but it's more of an annoyance when it becomes TOO much. Just not my jam. 🤷♀️ Also, Natalya acted like a whiny brat at times & it got very annoying. I love an age-gap trope so you expect the FMC to be younger & inexperienced, but tbh I wanted to slap her a few times for some of her actions 🤏🙄 One last note, some of the spicy scenes, word choice wise, had me cringing. It wasn't horrible, but definately made a difference with "setting the mood". Overall, this is an action-packed adventure & I would recommend adding to your list. Solid 3⭐️'s!

FAV QUOTES/SCENES: “That’s it, baby. Let go for me.”
I throw her over my shoulder and walk us out the back. Jackson tries to follow but I shake my head at him. “You failed today, Jackson. You were supposed to make sure you weren’t followed.” I shoot him right in the head. “Are you scared of me?” - “You just shot him.” - “Because he failed at his job. That’s the kind of man I am, Natalya. A ruthless one. Now put your seat belt on. We’re going home.”
"Trust me"
"You are mine Never put yourself in danger like that again. "
If I’m going to hell, I might as well have fun on the way down.
He looks at me with a hungry, dark expression that makes me swallow hard. “It was perfect. Now, I want you to run.” - “Run?” - “Run.”
I was consumed by Natalya the first time I laid eyes on her but I wouldn’t have called it love then. I would have called it lust. Possession. But the thought of never seeing her again makes me realize that my feelings have changed. It’s no longer just possession and lust for her. It’s no longer just the desire to consume her and to dominate her. I love her. I love my wife.
“I promised I would keep you safe, I’m going to keep that promise.”

Natalya has worked hard to get to where she is today in Ballet. She is the lead in Swan Lake. Unbeknownst to her, she has an admirer, one who fully intends to make her his.
Natalya and her sisters, together with her mother Tatiana, are informed of some awful news by their father's estranged brother Denis, who doesn't seem affected by the terrible news. Denis has been jealous of Lev's life, complaining that he got the more beautiful wife, beautiful daughters, and better business opportunities, making him more powerful. Now Denis is determined to take control of everything belonging to Lev, which includes Tatiana and the girls.
Mikhail has watched Natalya from afar; he wants her, he wants her innocence, he wants to be the one to corrupt her! He makes a deal with her to help her get away from Denis and his plans for her.
The story follows the journey of exploration that Natalya and Mikhail are on. She may have started her journey as the white swan, but she soon turns into the seductress black swan. Mikhail is opening her up to performing for a different audience. Alongside this, Mikhail is trying to help her free her sisters and mother from Denis. Also, he is at war with the Italian mafia run by Nico Bernardi, causing problems in his business dealings.
It's action-packed from start to finish, alliances formed and broken. Power and control are what the men want and take, but along the way, Mikhail realises that Natalya means more to him than someone he wants to possess.

Darkest Sin is a very well-written mafia romance. It is suspenseful and enjoyable.
Natalya is a very talented ballerina. She captures the attention of Mikhail who is a Bratva leader. After her performance in Swan Lake she returns home with her family. Her father's brother informs them that her father has been killed. The family is then under control of the uncle. The uncle is a terrible man who only wants to gain more power. He is in the process of arranging a marriage for Natalya to a terrible man. Mikhail finds out about the marriage and wants to stop it. Natalya escapes her home and goes with Mikhail. They get married in secret so he can protect her. Natalya is very naive and was never allowed to date so she has no idea what she is signing up for. Mikhail is a dangerous person.
I loved the chemistry between Mikhail and Natalya. He is a very possessive alpha male. If you enjoy dark romance with possessive alphas you will love this story. I look forward to more from this talented author.

If you’re a fan of obsessive mafia anti-heroes and naïve-but-spirited heroines, Darkest Sin will hit the sweet (and spicy) spot. Mikhail Novikoff is pure Bratva danger—possessive, dominant, and utterly unapologetic. From the moment he sets eyes on ballerina Natalya, he claims her, protects her, and pulls her into a world that’s as intoxicating as it is terrifying.
This book is a whirlwind of steamy dom/sub tension, emotional intensity, and mafia intrigue. The chemistry between Mikhail and Natalya is off the charts, and while she comes across a bit naïve at times, her innocence contrasts perfectly with Mikhail’s dark, commanding presence.
It’s a fast-paced, steamy ride through obsession, power, and twisted romance—with a guaranteed HEA that makes the journey worth it. One star off for some minor character development gaps, but overall? It’s a dark delight.
Perfect for readers who like their mafia men ruthless, their romance scorching, and their heroines dancing on the edge of danger.
This is the 1st story in The Dark Mafia Series where we find Mikhail a Bratva man getting his wife his way, taking her! Natalya is the oldest daughter in her Bratva family and a successful ballerina performing the lead in Swan Lake. When her father is murdered things go from a good family life to her estranged uncle taking control over the family and who each one will be married off to for powerful alliances. When Mikhail makes his intentions clear he wants Natalya for his wife, her uncle refuses him setting up chaos and Natalya forced to make a decision in the moment. Their secret marriage sends shock waves through their world and Natalya learns about Mikhail’s dominant and possessiveness allowing their relationship to become stronger with feelings. The danger and heartbreak that Natalya experiences leads to a passion filled marriage and a husband ready to do what is needed to support and protect her. H: Mikhail Novikoff h: Natalya Petrov Natalya has 3 other sisters and when her father died her uncle decides to take ownership of them and dictate when and who they are to be married. Enters Mikhail who instantly feels a possessive interest in Natalya and proposes marriage to her in an attempt to save her from the horrible man that her uncle is not forcing her to marry. So they married and the story is not bad but then we find out that Mikhail has a kynk on seeing people doing the deed, he likes dominant/submissive situations. This is where the story kind of goes south in my opinion. He treats his wife like he treats other women he has been with and to me it doesn't show that he sees his wife any different then the rest. Right after her shooting her uncle and him knowing the uncle is going to come for them, he decides to forget abt the threat and takes her out to this guy to see people doing it. I lost interest right after that. Stopped at pg 96 32%.
"Darkest Sin" is an absolutely captivating read that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end! The author has such a gift for crafting a thrilling and immersive narrative, effortlessly drawing readers into Mikhail and Natalya's complex and often dangerous world right from the very first page. The chemistry and dynamic between these two characters are truly electric, creating an undeniable spark that keeps you guessing and wanting more. I found myself completely invested in their journey, eagerly anticipating each twist and turn, whether it involved soaring highs of passionate connection or the tumultuous lows of heartbreaking betrayals. The writing is nothing short of superb, beautifully weaving a tale that is not only intense and action-packed but also deeply emotionally resonant, leaving a lasting impact long after the final page is turned.

The book starts off very calm and then tragedy strikes, from that moment on it’s all gas no brakes. This is the story of how a ballerina ends up married to a Bratva man. Now you may think that’s the usual story line but this time the kicker is her dad held a lot of power in the Bratva and tried shielding his daughters from it. The MMC Mikhail has watched the FMC Natalya from afar for a while and decides he has to have her, Natalya agrees to the union in an attempt to save her sisters. After that their world is anything but smooth sailing. This book is both action and spice packed! If you are looking to dabble in dark romance I’d say this is a middle level book as it’s not overly dark but it’s not cookie cutter either.
Thank you booksprouts and Ivy for the copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions are my own💜💜
3.5 ⭐ Overall the plot was interesting. Natalya married Mikhail, a ruthless Bratva leader but has to make the decision to leave her family behind.
The beginning was slow but as it picked up, there were moments where I gasped, laughed, and rolled my eyes. Then there were moments when I had to turn my Kindle off from how annoying the characters and their actions were.
Natalya's incessant need to please everyone and protect people with little regard for safety pissed me off. I only liked one of her sisters because she was levelheaded. And the MMC Mikhail saved the story for me because that man was devoted to helping his wife, even as she made stupid decisions. The spicy moments were hot and Mikhail's dirty talk was top notch.

I loved this book until the end. The characters where great. I love Natalya she was innocent, strong, and independent. Mikhail was everything you wanted in a Mafia Dom husband. The spice was extremely delicious. The plot had its ups and downs. The ups were really good, but what where I think it went wrong is how many times can they double cross each other and then make allies. There is no complete ending. It leaves you with more questions and you want answers. I wish the ending of the book was better, it just doesn't make since to keep double crossing the same people and make allies the way it was depicted in this story. I LOVED everything until about the last chapter. It was still a good read but it could have been amazing. The characters and the spice was wonderful.

This book is written as if a robot wrote it. I’ll let you decipher that as you see fit but it’s really really awful. The way the characters interacted with one another isn’t at all what you would expect of a mafia book and you can clearly tell that the mafia plot line was just a hook, and then everything else fell apart. The first night two characters are together as a married couple the main male character sneaks off to go have some sub/dom interaction and it really bothered me?! I enjoy books that have that sub plot, but it felt came so clearly out of left field with no hint or previous explanation that this character is a dom and enjoys that stuff. Overall, it just was a horribly written book with hollow characters, awkward interactions, and a silly plot. I’m still not convinced that a human wrote this.
This is Mikhail and Natalya's book. I'm still not sure what to think of this one. The relationship between Mikhail and Natalya is good but it's the business side that the story falls short. Natalya's uncle shows up to announce her father has died and it's a giveaway what happened. However, it seems the father while a strong member of the Bratva had no allies to step up and the uncle assumed control. Then fails at keeping his house in order. I understand where the author was trying to go but didn't get there. If your reason for picking a book is spice, then go for it. If it's equal part relationship and business, it may work but it may drive you batty. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Ballerina Natalya has become principal dancer in her ballet company only to find out after her performance that her Bratva Don father has been murdered by her uncle in order to gain power. He plans to marry her off to gain more power, but she thwarts him by choosing to marry a virtual stranger, rival Bratva Don Mikhail. Now she needs to rescue her mom and sisters from her uncle, navigate the shifting rivalries of various men out for power, and learn to trust her husband.
This mafia story has all the intrigue, deception, and treachery with plot twists to keep you reading. It is also a story of family loyalty, and love chosen, not forced.

Darkest Sin is the first installment in the Dark Mafia Series. It's a dark mafia romance with a marriage of convenience involving Mikhail Novikoff and Natalya Petrov. I was engaged from the very first page and couldn't turn the pages fast enough. Once I started reading I had a hard time putting it down. If BDSM is not your thing I wouldn't recommend reading but if it floats your boat than by all means take a ride on this hot and steamy rollercoaster ride. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Mikhail and Natalya's story was dark, dangerous, sexy, and fun. I enjoyed reading it, although some did make me a little squeamish and seemed a drag on unnecessarily. I love Natalya's determination to save her sisters and mom. Also, she's not the damsell in distress. Her strong attitude, moral sense of right and wrong, and her gun wielding skills all came in handy. Mikhail...what can I say. I love his swagger and style. I can see why Natalya fell for him. Temptation is so hard to resist. With enemies on every hand, he really needed Natalya by his side. At least that's one person he can cound on. I can wait to see how the rest of this series unfolds.
Mikhail was obsessed at first sight with ballet dancer Natalya, and when her uncle returns after her fathers sudden death, taking over and with plans for her sisters and her to marry off. Mikhail offers her protection through marrying him. Only who will protect her from him, as he draws her into his even darker world, one of submission and desires will she find herself loving the man the devil calls his friend! Engaging story, steamy, dom/sub, obsession and more, the characters are good but Natalya does come across as too nieve at times.
Mafia man Mikhail Novikoff has set his sights on his new bride. Natalia knows her duty as a mafia princess then tragedy strikes and her life changes. A captivating story filled by secrets, lies and betrayals. Will she make a deal with the devil to keep her family safe? Or is he really the devil she should be afraid of? I love these two together they’re perfect in this story filled with danger, thrilling drama and dark romance. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I have liked all of Ivy Davis books before this one. They are all written well and you fall for all the characters. However, this book was hard to get through. Mikhail and Natalya have absolutely no chemistry, you can see that even in their conversations with each other. He's into bdsm, but he's very narcissistic about it. And even tho it is mafia, and she usually has many mmc fighting throughout the series, this one just seems rushed. I'm hoping the 2nd one is better!.

What a wonderfully dark romance! We're drawn into the lives of Natalya and Mikhail. She's one of the dancers in Swan Lake, and the moment he sees her dance, he knows he has to have her, that she is and will be his. She's been dancing ballet for years, pure and innocent, and represents whiteness. Mikhail, on the other hand, is dark and Black, and can't wait to corrupt her, make her come out of her shell, and commit sin. A wonderfully hot and steamy dark novel.

I'm giddy that this is the first book in the new The Dark Mafia series and it was a doozy. Beautiful ballerina is forced to marry Mikhail Novikoff after her father's death or succumb to the fate of being sold to a horrible man of her cruel uncle's choosing. Better the devil you know... While protecting her, the two begin to have feelings for each other. Great start and I can't wait to see who is in the next selection.

When her father dies Mikhail offers Natalya safety by marrying him. She is his obsession and will stop at nothing to make her his. Absolutely dislike this book. It was stated that this could be read as a standalone, but it ends in a HFN and a major cliffhanger. That’s not the only thing that I disliked. Mikhail has no honor, and he and Natalya are very two-dimensional. And for a supposedly powerful Bratva leader, Mikhail is constantly losing. Nope. Did not like this one at all. It wasn’t offensive, so I gave it two stars instead of one.
A ballerina, Natalya, marries a Bratva man, Mikhail, who’s been obsessed with her from afar. Her powerful Bratva father tried to shield his daughters, but when he was killed, Natalya weds to protect her sisters. Their marriage is a wild ride of action and spice. This dark romance isn’t too intense but avoids clichés, perfect for dipping into the genre.
