NOTHING BEATS A GOOD OLE LOVE TRIANGLE! Especially with two HUNKS of men pining after a 22 year old virgin! SO SO SO GOOD! I couldn’t put it down. The telenovela style drama was intoxicating and I truly could not stop.

Collide ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ARC Review
These two felt so raw and full of emotions. The tension in the story kept so hooked on every page with my full attention. Broderick and Elena banter is so good, they both clicked and started with the most caring, kind and beautiful relationship.
I loved that no matter what happened to them he still stayed by her side, even as friends he always put her first. Their chemistry made this read so easy and it was so beautifully written that you just kept going until it was over!!

The love triangle is this book was very different then what l am used to reading. But this book was soooo good. I loved Elenas relationship with Alex almost as much as I loved her relationship with Broderick.
My mouth was left wide open at that ending. Had me screaming and throwing my kindle.
I don't want to give too much cause you are going to be reading this like you are truly watching a telenovela!

I was promised a telenovela, and ohhh I got a full-on telenovela!!
This book was such a fun ride. It whisked me through the streets of New York and into so many other different places and scenes that it felt like I was watching it all unfold on screen. I had such a good time following along with the story.
Alannah’s writing is strong. For someone who always has a “movie reel” running in her head while reading, her descriptions made everything come alive. She captures the atmosphere, emotions, and little details in a way that makes you see exactly what’s happening. Are we sure this is a debut??
Now for the story. We follow a woman in the middle of finding herself, and along the way, she just happens to stumble into two gorgeous men?? Welcome to our love triangle era. I won’t drop names, but let’s just say man #1’s storyline feels a lot more fleshed out than man #2’s. And listen, I need equal screen time if I’m going to properly pick a side (especially since I have a reputation for rooting for the underdog 😏). But here’s the twist: man #2 isn’t exactly an underdog. He’s giving top-dog energy too, which makes the dilemma of choosing between them even juicier.
That said, the triangle side that does get the spotlight? Whew. Chef’s kiss. The meet-cute, the passion, the ups and downs—it’s pure telenovela gold. And I cannot wait to see how Elena navigates what’s next, because it feels like the author has only just started laying down the puzzle pieces. The next book I feel is bound to be deliciously messy in the best way.

A massive thank you to Alannah for this ARC! I can safely say that I ATE this book up! The telenovela aspect of this book was something different for me and it did not disappoint. I absolutely adored the story and following along with the FMC finding herself. The banter, the love triangle, the drama, all of it was just chefs kiss.

I was lucky enough to read an ARC of Collide by Alannah Roberts and I adored every second of it. From the very first chapter I was hooked, and the ending left me absolutely speechless. It is one of those jaw-drop finales that makes you desperate for the next book, which is perfect because this is only book one in the series.
The love triangle is emotional and addictive, with just the right amount of twists to keep you guessing without ever feeling overdone. The spice is absolute chef’s kiss and adds so much to the chemistry between the characters. I loved how Elena’s heritage, being half white and half Filipino, was written so naturally into her story. It gave her so much depth while still being relatable and easy to connect with. As a FMC, Elena felt real, vulnerable, and passionate, and I found myself rooting for her every step of the way.
The music element is another touch that made this book stand out. Every chapter is tied to a song that matches the mood, and it felt like I was reading with a built-in soundtrack. And of course, Alannah’s personality shines through every page. Her writing is emotional, fun, and impossible to put down.

GUYS!! You don't even understand how good this book is, Alannah for your debut novel this is a masterpiece.
It had me hooked from the very beginning, each chapter played out like an episode of a TV show and I ate it up! The storyline was emotional, hilarious and omg the spice (the aquarium scene lives rent free in my head iykyk)
I cannot wait for the next book because what do you mean it ended like that, wtf Alannah haha but seriously I can’t stop thinking about this book

PLACEHOLDER REVIEW >>> HOLLYYY FF^^CKK THE EMOTIONAL ROLLERCOASTER THIS BOOK TOOK ME ON. My heart is RACING with that ending. Incredible story of love and grief and relationships all while trying to heal and discover yourself. Elena = amazing FMC (I’m usually not one for the v^rginity trope but it was really well done here) and her bff Riley is the BEST side character. Alex is 🌶️ 🥵 and the tension with Broderick is SO SEXYYYYY. I ADORED THIS STORY and need more from alannah IMMEDIATELY.

It’s got everything: steamy tension, family drama, emotional highs, and that delicious push-and-pull that keeps you turning the pages. Honestly, it reads like the perfect mix of swoony romance and binge-worthy TV.
If you’re into passion, drama, and a love story that feels like it could set the room on fire, Collide is a four-star ride worth every second.

The writing in this book was absolutely fantastic. From the descriptions to the dialogues, Miss Alannah Roberts kept us FED.
There were a couple of new tropes in here that I haven't read yet and I was unsure on how I felt initially, but when you end a book like that (you know what you did Alannah 👀) it just makes it so fun and emotion evoking. I was yelling at my kindle on the last chapter!
For anyone like me who sat on the couch with their mum watching "The Bold and the Beautiful" growing up, you will eat this drama UP.
We are taken along for a ride through Elena's rise to fame and battle her yearning, angst and steamy hot romances in this hair pulling, thigh clenching romantic drama.

I started this book yesterday morning before work and was thinking about it all day! I stayed up very late to finish it! THAT ENDING!!!!
I absolutely adored Elena the FMC and her Funny bestie Riley was amazing!
The Love? Soooooo good!!!!! Honestly it was so adorable at times!!
The smut? Oooof, it was perfect and I really loved that the couple didn’t rush it! Steamy Sexy and Glorious!
The witty banter between Elena and Brody has me absolutely on their team! BUT Alex…. What a man!!! He didn’t pressure her at all and I really appreciate that aspect of the story!

What a story!
The love triangle, the spice, the drama, and most importantly RILEY.
I loved so much about this book. It definitely gave Telenovela vibes and read like I was watching a tv show. The drama was over the top and every time something went right, something else went wrong. This kept the story moving and I loved the pacing of it. The writing in general was fantastic!
I would describe this book as an easy comfort read, the same way I feel about flicking on my favourite tv show. I genuinely cannot wait for the rest of the series so I can read it again and again when the real world feels a little too crazy and a little too much.
Riley is also my favourite ever BFF character in any story I’ve read. She was down-to-earth, funny, and knew how to protect Elena without overstepping and I loved her so much. Obviously I loved the main characters too but I love when “side characters” like the best friend actually have a place in the story and are fleshed out as much as the main characters.
Don’t get me started on the spicy scenes, oh my 🥵
Talking her through it, worship, finding her pleasure and awakening it - it was HOT.
I’m not going to speak too much on the boys for fear of spoiling anything but Elena’s story of growing from grief, rising from the ashes and working hard for her career and success to be HERS without being carried off someone else was absolutely beautiful. The tender moments weaved throughout made me love Elena more and more with each chapter.
I’m totally team Brody by the way.

Collide was such a surprise in the best way.
It’s a contemporary, telenovela-style romance full of drama, heart, and music. I absolutely loved the musical thread that runs through the story. It’s not something I see often in romance, and it added such a unique rhythm and energy to Elena’s journey.
The love triangle wasn’t what I expected at all (in a good way). Alannah really knows how to write those 🌶 chapters, and I ate it up!
That said, I definitely found myself wanting more between Elena and Brody, their chemistry was so strong, and I’m hoping we get to explore that even deeper in book two.
Overall, Collide is an emotional, fast-paced story about chasing freedom, finding your voice, and choosing yourself even when love gets messy. I can’t wait to see where the next book takes these characters.

Talk about an emotional rollercoaster!!
We’ve got a love triangle here and let me tell you, it gets to triangle-ing. I have a favorite of the two men but I’m not going to give anything away.
And dear Alannah leaves us on a CLIFFHANGER of all things!
The spice? Spicy. I gobbled it up. It hit just feeling right for me. I can’t even explain it.
And now I have to wait for book two. Until next year like COME ON (but also take your time writing it so that it’s not rushed lol).

Alanah has a beautiful writing style that makes you feel everything—her characters are so well written and relatable, you can’t help but get attached. I loved the mix of passion, heartache, and self-discovery.

Absolute 12/10 book!
I’m not very good with reviews but I want to take the time out of my day and congratulate Alannah on an EPIC contemporary romance. The beginning was deliberately slow, it’s not STRAIGHT into the romance. But as soon as we met our first MMC… oh. My. God. I was so hooked from then on, I laughed, I cried, I kicked my feet and giggled. There were spots where it made me hot and bothered. Alannahs writing is smooth, descriptive and easy to read!
This book has EVERYTHING.
And that ending… headmistress pls. I need Rush rn. I need to know WHY, what happened, why did you break my girls heart AND mine!!
Anyway, pick this book up right now. You won’t regret it!

WOW, what an exciting start to a series. Collide is an emotional roller coaster that I didn’t want to put down since I was way too anxious to find out what happened. It’s full of so much tension, shocking plot twists that had my jaw dropping on the floor, heart fluttering moments, and lots of passion. There’s great banter amongst all the characters with so many moments that kept me giggling. While also having some other moments that had me ready to cry 🫠

While out seeking inspiration in the big city she bumps into Alex, a handsome and older yet mysterious gentleman, which changes everything as they know it. As things quickly become intense with feelings deepening between Elena and Alex, they have some very tough obstacles to overcome 🥹

Elena, Alex and Brody were perfection. The way I wanted to hug these characters and also throat punch them at times made me not want to put this one down. The love triangle angle isn't something I read often, but I loved it. The way my jaw hit the floor in the last chapter makes me so excited for the next installment of this series.

This book gives you a love triangle, drama, spice, and family coming back together. Elena and her sister get separated at a young age because of a divorce. Elena's sister is getting married, and she moves back to the States for her wedding and to start her singing career. I liked the idea of her and her sister meshing well. Then she finds an attractive mysterious man, Alex, who she falls hard for. He also loves bombs her a bit. They have a bit of a whirlwind romance. Enter Broderick, the best man, who also likes Elena. A bunch of drama happens ( I don't want to spoil it), and there is a lot of what's going to happen.
The characters kept me entertained and loved the setting of the book with the descriptions so I could invision it. The book flowed well and kept me entertained. It also ended with me wanting more of what's going to happen.

ARC review: omg this book was my first contemporary romance and safe to say alannah’s writing has me obsessed. this story was so beautiful to read and i resonated so heavily with the fmc elena. i love a good love triangle and this was written so well!!!! it has me longing for more, i cannot wait for book 2!!! 🤍🩵

First in the Rhapsody of Heartbeats series. I truly enjoyed reading Collide. It felt like the sliding into silky sheets. She’s a singer/songwriter and he’s being weird about telling her what he does. And is it a love triangle? Living vicariously in Elena’s head is a trip. It has a lot of slow burn energy but when it gets spicy… buckle up, friend. I would also love to have a story from Riley’s POV. Beware the last chapter may make you sit down and consider whether you know anything about this story at all.

Good read. Not my normal adventure, however I enjoyed reading. this book kept me intrigued and hooked to the end. Definitely recommend.

I just had to share my thoughts on the story. It felt incredibly raw and full of emotions, and I was completely hooked from start to finish. The tension between the pages was palpable, making it impossible to put down. Broderick and Elena's banter was absolutely fantastic and kept me captivated throughout the entire narrative. Their dynamic added so much depth to the story and made it even more engaging. I truly enjoyed every moment and wanted to let you know how much it resonated with me.

Elena and Alex have an accident meeting, literally. But afterwards, he takes care of her. He takes her tot he hospital, he stays by her side, the things he says, it’s just all the right things. But then, she meets Broderick (the best man to her sister’s wedding), and she learns the truth about Alex.
From the start, I was rooting for Alex, I really was. Even when Broderick showed up. In the beginning, I didn’t really like Broderick, but he grew on me.
And then, the end of the book came. And I was like ‘what the … just happened? Why did he do that after everything they’ve been through together?’ To say I am furious at him, is still not enough to express how I feel.
I am waiting for news on the next book, I really need to know how things will progress.
