Shockingly one of my favorite pieces of media from the High Republic. Initially I wrote this off, as it would just be another thing between me and the grand finale, but despite being an audio drama, this story and cast really shines. Lots of great developments here, plenty of Tey Sirrek, Lourna Dee, and Keeve Trennis content, and one of my favorite scenes in the overall series! Absolutely loved seeing the tension between Lourna and Marchion as they danced during a ballroom scene. Respectfully glad we got a break from Ceret & Terec as they were starting to get on my nerves during the third comic volume. Their growth as characters has stagnated a bit and it seems as though every other issue there’s a fake out with their deaths.

At this point, I can fully admit that I am very excited for these High Republic books to end. I don't love them (save only one), and I don't like how all of the adult and young adult stories converge now. This book was confusing because it referenced storyline and plot points from not only books I haven't read, but also comic books that I didn't know about. It's very frustrating.

That being said, Lourna Dee is my favorite recurring character, so I was happy that she was the star of this story. Also, it was in script format, so that helped me breeze through it, which is nice.

Exciting story with a lot of elements moving. I have really enjoyed these script books throughout the High Republic era. I think the more limited cast made this one easier to follow than others. My biggest concern is how this tied into the rest of the Era, it felt like several elements were out of step and character for what we know goes on. Still an enjoyable read that goes quickly.
