🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3/5 Spice
Talk about a tearjerker. I was honestly not prepared for this one at all. The struggle that you see Blair go through is absolutely heart-breaking, but Matty never waivers in his quest to get close to her. Not only does Blair have to wrestle with the fact that her fated mate was killed, but also falling for a human who used to hunt her kind. C.J. does a beautiful job in showing how these two find healing in each other, Blair from a life she thought she'd have with a mate she thought she'd build a family with and Matty who is just trying to make amends for his past mistakes.
If you're like me and not ready to let, go of the Shadowed Heirs just yet jump into these novellas, as a few of your favorites make appearances in both novellas.

Spared is a spicy werewolf romance novella packed full of delicious enemies to lovers tension and spice!
I absolutely LOVE this story. Matty, the MMC, is a human and Blair, the FMC, is a werewolf who lost her fated mate at the hands of a cult of anti werewolf humans. Matty happens to be from that cult. Queue THE ENEMIES. But things get complicated when Matty falls HARD for Blair.
Will she or won't she give in!?

CJs books are always a must read for me. So when we found out Matty was getting his own story I was stoked. I had so many theories (none of which were true. Lol) and was excited to what rollercoaster CJ took us on with him. In true CJ fashion, it has everything from heartbreak, feelings of betrayal, insecurities, chemistry, tension, loneliness, frustration, etc. it felt like the whole book was hell week until the end.

Here's to second chances!
Spared is A Shadowed Heirs Novella by C.J Primer. All about over coming grief, second chances you feel you don't deserve & finding love in the most unexpected places. Matty & Blair couldn't be more different from each other but end up being absolutely perfect for each other with enough spice to have you sweating. This one was a little different from C.J's other shifter romances but it was still fantastic! I absolutely loved it!

Ok I see you Matty!! This one was everything I didn’t know I was missing!! I absolutely LOVED Matty! He may be human but he didn’t let that stop him from getting what he wanted!! He never once gave up!! Blaire..oh this girl…I’m so glad she finally came around and gave Matty a chance!! This was a great one!! Definitely worth the read!
