Marcus moved through life expecting everything to be logical. Science could explain everything and he’d learned to make enormous profits understanding science. So when he runs into the illogical Juliette, his mind has a hard time understanding why she would walk down the street singing and dancing. There wasn’t any music! But no matter how much he craved logic and reason, his body craved Juliette more.
Juliette is fascinated by Marcus’s stoicism. How could he walk down the street and not feel the joy in the sunshine? How could he ignore the sounds of the grasshoppers and birds? Or smile at the perfection of a flower? And how could her mind and body need a man who didn’t understand the joy of living life for the moment?
USA Today™ best-selling author Elizabeth Lennox writes contemporary romance novels featuring sheiks, business tycoons, royalty, and other sexy rich men. Her male lead characters are smart, driven and determined, but can still be sensitive and vulnerable. Elizabeth’s female lead characters come from a variety of backgrounds. They are strong, intelligent and independent, while still feminine and caring.
Although she wanted to be a romance novelist since the eighth grade, that dream only became a reality for her in 2009 and a full time job in 2012. Along the way, she received a BS in History and held different jobs in the real estate, government consulting, and financial industries. All during that time, though, she was always writing, using her personal experiences, dreams, and travels throughout the United States, Europe and the Caribbean as backdrops for her stories. To date, she has written over eighty books and sold over 5.1 million copies. Her free novellas have been downloaded over 8 million times since 2013.
Elizabeth lives in Virginia with her husband and two children. Their home is just outside of Washington, D.C., and many of her novels are set in this area.
"Her Tender Tyrant" is the story of Juliette and Marcus.
A wonderful story, in which our lively and vivacious heroine, who works as a research major meets the stoic, logical hero when her project leads her to his home. There are sparks, which leads to a lengthy pursuit, culminating in passionate lovemaking, random OW drama, family interference and HEA. Their banter was cute yet sexy, and I really enjoyed their cat and mouse chase. If these two great idiots hadn't been so easily manipulated by the crazy OW suddenly at the end, this would have been rated much higher.
I really love this series. How you keep all the couples so happy and in love after all the years is really amazing. You are truly one of a handful of authors who know how to keep the main characters in the story together and monogamous throughout the whole book and still have an exceptionally great story. I will really miss this series when it is over. Congratulations on another great book. Everyone should read this series. She doesn't disappoint. Gina
I forgot how much I really enjoy Marcus's story. The banter and tension between him and Juliette for most of the book is very entertaining and I love how the horses play a role in this book (although the author got a few things wrong regarding how a breeding facility would house their horses). Again, the epilogue it's probably my favorite part of the book. The prank Marcus's brothers pulled on him in retribution for his wedding pranks on them had me laughing out loud!!! Elizabeth Lennox is so creative with her stories! I highly recommend this series to anyone who enjoys contemporary romance books but recommend that you read the series in order.
Re-read. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoy it, but thinking about it, it rubs me the wrong way how the rest of the Alfieri men booked up the whole hotel so Marcus couldn't get a bed, blocking many people from being able to get a room. Then they also got a hundred cabs outside the city. Like at first glance it sounds amusing like brothers teasing each other, but in reality it's a bunch of wealthy jerks disrupting other people's lives for their own amusement.
It's hard to know that there is only one more book in this series! :-( Of course I read this one out of order, so the last book will be book #7! If you want to know if you Like Elizabeth's writing check out her website because she has a few "Free" reads. Take it from me, check out her website!
There were quite a few spelling mistakes that caused a hiccup during the reading. I must say the subject of the thesis was far fetched but knitted the story together. On to the next instalment...
Good book. Sometimes a little repetitive, and a few times changed days without any break in the story so it was a little confusing. I still enjoyed it though.
Marcus' story is absolutely great. Thoroughly enjoyed it and can't wait for the next in the Alfieri saga. A well deserved five stars! Luv, Linda Hall - South Africa xxx
