“Hey beautiful wife of mine,” my husband greeted me with a kiss and warm embrace. “Hello handsome husband of mine,” I teased with a more passionate kiss to show Keira our shit was strong. “Hey Nyda,” she spoke dryly as gave me a half ass smile. “I was just telling Keira about the surprise I have for you,” he bragged as he held up two tickets for a Caribbean Cruise. “Happy Birthday Baby!” “What? Thank you so much Dre!” I screamed. “That’s why we went to get those passports way back in January?” “Well you never know where I may just up and take you baby,” he smiled and pressed his lips to mine. When we broke apart, he removed some particles from my hair. “How did you get some damn sawdust in your do baby?” he asked continuing to pick bits and pieces out. “I’m not sure,” I lied. “It must have happened when I brushed up against the wooden fence that I parked too close to.” Dragging me to the dance floor, we began to embrace and sway to the slow groove. As DeAndre spun me around, I noticed Keira staring at us with contempt in her eyes. I wasn’t sure where all of it was coming from, but I was praying she knew to keep her shit in check. When the song ended, my husband just had to return to where we were standing, before the dance. It was the same spot where Keira was still positioned. “Oh shit, here comes your husband looking sharp as a tack,” DeAndre clowned pointing in the direction of the entrance where Tamario was coming from. Quickly turning to read Keira, I searched for a clue to how she was feeling about her husband. When I saw her eyes light up it showed me that she was in love with him, but he gave her no affection. He paid her no mind. Instead, he joined us, shook hands with DeAndre then gave me and his wife the head nod. “Damn, they trippin?” my husband whispered in my ear. Shrugging my shoulders, I let him know that I didn’t know and reminded him that we should mind our own business. DeAndre agreed and we sealed it with a wet one. He laid it on so thick that it had me weak in the knees and hot down in my sweet spot. “Damn, what was that for Dre?” I inquired as I patted my lips and caught my breath. “Do I need a reason?” DeAndre probed. “I love you girl and that’s all the reason I need.” While me and my husband ‘cupcaked’, Tamario and Keira fussed. “What got you smirkin’?” Keira spat at him. “And how the fuck you got sawdust on you too?” DeAndre looked at me sideways waiting on an answer. Hell, I was waiting too. I hoped to God Tamario had a good one.

I'm a sucker for a youth love story and I liked this one. I really just wanted Sensay to win at love. She was such a good and mannerable girl. Things got all kinds of messy with her, Dre, Keira and Rio. And Keira, she was entirely too much. It's a classic lesson of learning who your true friends are and when you have to let people go. The only two things that were troublesome were the flow-I had to reread, at times, to figure out who was speaking, and the book felt a bit drawn out. Still kept my interest and I still really enjoyed the book nonetheless. On to part 2!

Had me sucked in front the first page to the last page.I can't believe all the drama that rolled off the pages.I felt bad for Ja'Nyda and Kiera when they was younger.I never thought she would get that close to Tamario.Deandre should have never been in the pic.Im so mad at that ending lol she walked out like a Boss lol.I can't wait for part two

I’m clutching pearls cause these characters got me in a choke hold Nadya definitely needs to get it together cause living two people is hard work I don’t know how she does it but I’ll would of lost my mind trying to do this well let me get to reading part 2 to see who going to be with each other

Interesting story

I enjoyed reading this book because it's well written and well edited. I love the concept and vibe in this book. This is my first time to read from Shelli Marie. She did a good job. She takes her time to writing this book.

This book is dealing with drama and emotional story. The storyline is on point and it's a page turner. The two main characters are Ja'Nyda and Tamario. I want to read more about them. I want to see what's happening with them on part 2 of this book. This is five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

The story was q good story. Nyda obviously had things going for her but made some decisions on love that she is paying for now. Her best friend Kiera becomes an enemy and Rio is the love of her life. Dre is a substitute. Nyda needed to speak up in several situations but never did. 

I give three stars due to details seems to be dragged out. This story had potential to be more and yet its being broken into a series.

Unbelievable

There are just no words. Like wow really. Ja'nyda and Rio are a trip. Kierra is a whore of epic proportions. Dre is a sorry cheating excuse for a man. How do you claim to love someone so much but don't fight to make them yours. They are just wasting time and risking lives playing switcheroo with partners when they could have been together.

So much loving going around

Nyda had nothing but love for her best friend Keira. She came back and started a whole bunch of mess. Keira is a straight slut bucket, hopefully get what she deserve. Rio and Nyda should of been honest with each other. Dre is just hopeless cause he made a deal with the devil. I wonder who's going to Rio the truth?

Good Read....But

Overall this read kept my interest, but some things were just unbelievable. The characters being nineteen years young, experiencing well paying positions, buying homes, marriage all seemed a little too extreme. Also all the forgive and forget without coming to terms on issues that plagued the relationship in the first place.

I loved this book. It captured me from the beginning and held my attention. Nyda deserves to be happy but she needs to leave her husband. Tamario is something else. Keira is no good and didn't deserve to be anybody's wife. This was a good read for me.
