Skeleton Keepers #2

We End in Ashes: The new thrilling romantasy from the bestselling author of WITH FIRE IN THEIR BLOOD

Rate this book
The hotly-anticipated sequel to the compelling supernatural romance With Fire in Their Blood. Perfect for fans of Powerless and V.E. Schwab.

In one act of flame and fury, Lilly Deluca plunged the city of Castello into a brutal civil war and was stripped of her own Saintly power in the process. Now, she's wanted by opposing clans, and must fight to stay ahead of her pursuers while keeping herself and Christian, the boy she loves, alive.

With the war closing in, Lily teams up with Nico, the beautiful boy from the rival mafia family, to uncover the truth about Castello’s dark heart. But as the conflict escalates and her connection to Nico intensifies, Lilly is forced to make a choice: break her own heart, or let Castello fall.

Equal parts thrilling and devastating, this is the epic conclusion to the With Fire In Their Blood duology.

'Exhilarating, inventive and fiercely romantic, We End In Ashes will sweep you off its feet with its deliciously dark worldbuilding and sizzling tension. A perfect finale.'
- A.B. Poranek, #1 New York Times bestselling author of A Treachery of Swans

'A heart-wrenching, addictive masterpiece of a story. I am obsessed.' Rosie Talbot, author of Sixteen Souls and We Three Witches

Absolutely thrilled to get back into this story and catch up with the characters again. The pace of this book, much like the first instalment, is brutal. I felt thrown head first into the action with no breathing room, just high stakes drama from cover to cover.

And the main players? Still as unpredictable and morally murky as they were in the first book. I heartily remain a Nico stan.

Overall, this book runs at a breakneck pace, has engaging action, and a cast of morally complicated characters I felt connected to and won't forget. And that epilogue? Yes. Yes. *nod* I have been in my glass box of emotions with this one, but I found it such a satisfying way to wrap up a thrilling and emotional duology.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a great storyline and the main character Lily went through so much and in the end she was able to end the war that was tearing both sides apart. In the end both sides come together. Loved the plot twists with the characters Alex and Nico. When Alex was shot with an arrow I amused he died then he returned half way through the book and helped Lily until the end of the war. When Nico got crushed under the temple I thought he was dead but then he was alive in the end which made Lily happy. Loved this book a lot. Recommend to read.
