Received for an honest review
Wow! Just wow!
Kanika is a very unique young woman who has a serious problem. She is an intelligent girl who is unfortunately a poor student at the Academy on scholarship. With a mysterious vail that has ascended on the school and the surrounding land the school is running out of food. She is advised to make herself useful but she's alittle lost and a lot naive.Kani falls under the protection of two professors but she's struggling with all the events and stress.
I like Kani a lot. She is manipulated and used but she makes life work. She finds inner pease were others would have floundered. At times I really shake my head at her "stupidity" but I'm reminded that she is young and trying to survive.
At first I really hate Sage but find that I am comforted by his presence. He makes you fall for all his naughtiness leading to a craving that is completely devilish. I know there is more to his story which I desperately want to know.
I have tons of questions that I hope will be answered with more books. I love the whole series. It's a must read. Erotic, dangerous, and quite an adventure. After you read the book take time to reflect the inner workings and manipulation that is at work. It was mind boggling to replay the story and find the hidden meanings. Really great.

Enroll me at the Academy! Please! I'll have the devil..... half or whole devil is fine with me. I'll also have the professor and Rex and well you see where I'm going with this. Hot read. Always excellent writing from this author. Can't wait for the mysteries to be solved.

A digital copy of this book was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.
This is the first book that I've got the chance by these authors. However, taking a look at the other reviews here, I gathered that the authors have quite a fan following. Needless to say, I had a big anticipation when I began reading the book. The book didn't let me down. Set in multiple layers revolving around many lives, encompassing many genres, the book is interesting and captivating.
The novel involves a coming-of-age theme, set in fantasy terms. Kanika is an attractive young girl on the verge of adulthood. Her school is away from the rest of the society, as are the rest of the characters. When the school starts to run low on food supplies, a few face potential eviction. When Kanika is offered an illicit and immoral bargain by the school administrator, in exchange for ensuring her place at the school, she gets pulled into a quicksand of emotional conflict between what's right and what's wrong. While she is already reeling under the impact of her decisions, she encounters more evil offers from her linguistics professor.
What impresses me the most in the book is the fact that the authors do not in way attempt to justify the wrongs anywhere in the book throughout. Happenings are told as they are, without seeking to show Kanika in a less bad light. While the story unfolds the price that Kanika pays for deviating from the right track, the reader gets an insight into the internal tumoil she undergoes.
I recommend this book to lovers of fantasy romances.

I have a certain expectation with the Keep’s work, and that expectation is to always expect the unexpected. This work is no different.
What we have on the surface is an erotic romance, a tale of a young, innocent woman who gets caught up in a love triangle. Yet it’s mired in fantasy. That’d be typical enough, but Kani’s life as a smart yet naive young woman goes off the rails in some curious yet believable ways. The fantasy of the world is put to use in some interesting ways, though I won’t go into spoiler territory.
It’s no Hogwarts meets Erotica type of tale, like Magic Academy, though you might expect it to be. It’s instead its own beast: it’s got romance, a love triangle, its got mystery, deception, blackmail, coercion, innocent flirtation and the consequences of naive indiscretion.
It’s not the Keep’s best written novel, but it’s got soul dammit, so much heart and emotion is poured into the thing, it’s crazy. The characters come to life, the plot yanks you along at a breakneck speed, and you just want everything to go right for Kani… at the same time you want everything to go oh so wrong. Because up or down, every twist and turn is delicious in this story.

This was a series that kept me focused. You have a paranormal story that has a whole lot of naughty going on with a love triangle. The hot steamy sex scenes oh my - how can you not get wet when reading those. You won't want to stop reading. I really enjoyed reading this series.
Kanika faces hard times at the Academy, fears that she may get expelled just like others did so she has to make a decision in order to stay - so she makes a deal with the half-devil. She has to give up something she never has before and hopes it pleases the half-devil. Now her linguistics professor comes to try and save her - she ends up falling for him as well. A love triangle was not what she seen coming but how things quickly change. Is it the half-devil or linguistics professor?
You will just have to read the books in order to find out. It's so worth the read if you like paranormal with lot of naughty :) This was the first books I read by the author and I will say that I shall be reading more books by M. Keep :) Great job to the author.

I'm on tour with this book and opted in for a review. I love anything dark and sexy and definitely is. An amazing book with complete in depth characters and story. Great sexy scenes and plot twists that you don't want to miss. I very much recommend this book to anyone who enjoys the darker side of sexy! J.E. Keep is one of my favorite authors and has never let me down. I love Getting lost in her words and entering the journey with her stories.

Enjoyed this very much. Kani well where to start. At times, I want to shake her out of her stupidity and others I want to hug her. Sage is naughty and who wouldn't love that. Really good read. Recommend and umm yes I'll take a place at the Academy please!!

Oh man I don’t even know where to start; I’m still trying to wrap my head around the twisted, magical and steamy story. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I knew this wasn’t going to be nice but a lot whole lot of naughty.
Overall this was a quick read, I’m glad the authors decided to combine all three short stories into one, as it would of left me with so many more questions. Be prepared for some steamy scenes, there is a ton of hot and heavy and a two men that had me questioning their intensions.
I liked Kanika’s innocents, but her shyness and sometime bad decision-making had me a little frustrated at points. But I could tell how desperate she was to continue her education, even if it meant giving away a piece of herself. As for the men in her life, Cyril and Sager were intriguing men who seriously needed to be bopped on the head a couple of times. However Sager totally one me over, even though he was so different, I loved Kanika and his chemistry. Cyril was someone many people will love to hate and be shocked by.
In the end I really wanted something to go right got Kanika, with black mail, betrayal and sexual awareness involved I was curious on how it would end for her. The ending is a bit of a shocker and I feel like I needed more, or at least the authors wanted it that way.

There is no doubt that this story of Kanika’s awakening desires is explored in detail. There is chemistry and attraction and heat.
For me, however, it was a little difficult to believe that an innocent could become so deeply involved so quickly, and with more than one individual.
Kanika’s experiences are many and do grab the reader’s imagination. Unfortunately to me this ending felt a bit rushed, with loose ends not tied up.

I liked this book. It has a lot of hot sex, lust, action and even a little romance here and there. I liked the fluid writing style of the author. The book flows at a nice steady pace and holds your attention to the very end. In fact I only put it down once to go to the bathroom. LOL. I liked Kanika and Sager’s relationship. How it starts out as a friendship and develops into far more. I recommend this book for reading.
