Beautiful Redemption

Rate this book
Everyone deserves a second chance …

Committing a crime will land you a one-way ticket into the Redemption Program, where you will need to earn your freedom by completing Acts of Kindness. Fail this, and the punishment is death.

Ethan has just committed a serious crime. He prefers to speak with actions, not words, and his temper is what landed him in the Program.

Isaac is the personification of the sun; warm, positive, and willing to do anything to help others.

When Isaac is assigned to be Ethan’s Redeemer, a person entrusted with helping others to complete the Program, Ethan is less than impressed. It doesn’t take long for Isaac’s constant cheer and positivity to grate on Ethan’s nerves. But the more they get to know each other, the more Ethan slowly begins to lower his walls, and feels his defences come crashing down.

But what they don’t realise is that someone desperately doesn’t want Ethan to succeed in his Program, and they will stop at nothing to see him fail.

"Everyone deserves a second chance, but a third is fatal"

This was such a cool concept! When someone commits a crime they blackout and wake up in the redemption program. They must complete a certain amount of good deeds in a certain time frame all relative to the severity of the crime to graduate from the program. If they fail to complete the deeds it results in death. If they commit any more crimes it results in death. Ethan finds himself in the redemption program with Isaac as his "redeemer" or sponsor if you will. Ethan plans on graduating from the program as fast as he possibly can, he certainly doesn't plan on catching feelings for the way too positive and always bubbly Isaac.

I had the pleasure of reading Tegan's book and at just 184 pages it's a fantastic little palette cleanser between stories.

Romance isn't my main genre so I'm quite picky when I do decide to pick one up but this one had the perfect balance between narrative and spice, neither overtook the other which is definitely my taste in romance.

Being a murder/mystery lover I did find myself thinking "where's the suspense" I can't help myself 😅...and in the final chapter of the book it definitely delivered with a nice little segway into book two!

This one's available on kindle unlimited or just $4.99 on kindle!

Wow! Okay the Redemption program was such an amazing concept!

This was definitely a book for the slow burn, grumpy x sunshine-loving readers. And I mean it when I say *slow burn*

We follow Ethan as he is put into the program and assigned a Redeemer named Isaac who is brand new to the job.

I truly loved how Ethan and Isaac were polar opposites. Isaac was definitely a favourite for me, I totally vibed with him. And the tension between him and Ethan was everything 😍

This book had a way of breaking my heart at times too, and I really couldn't help but feel for both our MMCs especially towards the end. If anything I just wanted more of this. It ended too soon 🥹

Speaking of the end, that cliffhanger?! I need the next book ASAP! 😱

Overall a solid debut and I will be keeping an eye out for the next one!

It's a story about redemption and 2nd chance. After making a bad mistake, Ethan has a 2nd chance at life having to take part in a redemption program. Isaac is paired with Ethan as his redeemer, helping guide him along his journey to redeem himself for the next 6 months to complete the program.
If you love a slow burn, a grumpy x sunshine, forced proximity, with some 'i don't want any brokeback mountain shit' on point M/M banter, this book is for you! But omg that ending, I need book 2!!

An intense, emotional rollercoaster that hooked me from the start.
A violent act lands a young man in a deadly redemption program where failure means death—and falling for his assigned Redeemer is strictly forbidden. The chemistry, the tension, the slow-burn ache of a love they shouldn’t have… it’s all so good.
Raw, romantic, and unforgettable. If you love forbidden love with real stakes, this one’s a must-read.

I cant wait for more of this story

Me: "I will just read a little bit before bed"
Also me: *reads entire book in one sitting and way past my bedtime because the story has me that hooked*

This book has a good premise of giving second chances when you commit a serious crime to redeem yourself. The story was well paced to keep you invested in the two MMCs.

The entire book is a slow burn, without much spice (I am clinging to the dream scene so much for when it finally crashes into the real world), but there is that much tension that you have to continue.

I am already impatiently waiting for answers to everything left open at the ending.

I really enjoyed the mystery that Tegan wrapped around this world, a world for all intents and purposes the same as ours - except for the mystery surrounding the Redemption Program. One wrong move, one mistake and you could find yourself waking up in a white sterile room with a black tattoo on your arm and a time frame to do a number of good deeds... or else - die.

This is exactly what happens to one of our MMC's Ethan. He has a temper, he is easily angered and after a very bad decision, finds himself in the Program with only a shy, introverted Redeemer, Isaac, to help him navigate the next 6-months of his life. If he doesn't meet the required good deed quota, his life ends.

Tegan has written such excellent banter between the two men, and their slow burn realisation of feeling fits the narrative of strangers making a connection so well. Isaac is pure sunshine even though he faces his own demons, which is tempered by Ethan who wears his anger and hurt on his sleeve. It takes time for Isaac to help Ethan question how he wants to live his life and by then - it could all come crashing down.

If you enjoy:

- grumpy/sunshine
- mm
- dual POV
- morally grey MMC
- forced proximity
- second chances
- dealing with anger and angst
- dystopian vibes

Then grab a copy of this one today! I can't wait to read book two and find out what happens to these boys. Thank you so much Tegan for the opportunity to read your debut!

T.E Sullivan.

My first ARC & what a privilege.

A chance to redeem yourself of the bad things you’ve done in your life.
You keep messing it up & your penalty is death.

Ethan has always been a hot head to which leads him into a lot of trouble.
When he comes to, he’s laying in a hospital bed being given the ultimatum ‘redeem or die’
That’s when he meets Isaac.
Oh sweet Isaac, the total opposite to Ethan.
Their chemistry from the get-go is electric, I can feel it radiating off the pages.
But the rule is ‘no relationships with your redeemer’

I have never read anything like this before, I really enjoyed the new aspects of the story.
It was like an alcoholic with a sponsor.
It was so well written. The fact it is based in Australia makes me so happy.
Tegan, you have done such an amazing job with this book. Cannot wait until it’s on my bookshelf so I can admire your talent

No Spice
Dystopian Romance
Format: Digital

This was a quick read. It’s an interesting dystopian concept, nothing too adventurous or deep. I was really hoping for more. We follow Ethan and Issac. Ethan commits a crime and gets into a redemption program. You have to do good deeds to get redemption and then you’re good. Issac is his redeemer and they have friendly teasing banter back and forth. The characters wasn’t that deep but the love or attraction was sweet even though nothing was shown much and it took a while for the relationship to blossom into actual feels. It was cute and fun but I just wanted more.

T.E. Sullivan has delivered a powerful debut with Beautiful Redemption. If you love MM romance with a heavy dose of angst, hurt/comfort, and a redemption arc that feels truly earned, this book is for you.

The title is perfect because the journey these characters go on is exactly that—beautiful and messy. The chemistry between the MCs is electric from the start, but what kept me reading was the emotional depth. Sullivan isn't afraid to let the characters struggle with their pasts, making the happy ending feel so much more satisfying when they finally get there.

A quick easy read.
What an interesting concept, a little dystopian style twist. Commit a crime bad enough and you're thrown into the redemption program, having to complete good deeds to redeem yourself.
This is a MM, grumpy x sunshine, fun banter, no spice (except touches and kisses) romance wrapped up in a story of second chances.
After that ending, I'm keen to see where book 2 will lead us. An awesome debut!

I loved this book! It is such a unique book that had me hooked from the start, it’s not the normal type of book I’ll usually read but I knew I had to read it when I first heard about the book! It was a fast paced book with the right amount of slow burn and spice. The characters were written beautifully, I loved Issac and Ethan and how they developed throughout the book! Can’t wait for the second one!

Ethan and Isaac!

This was a great first novel from this author. A quick but interesting read about second chances in life. The concept of the redemption program was different. I really enjoyed this book however it does end on a cliffhanger and there was only a little spice. But the little spice worked well with the story.

I love the idea of a Redemption program.

We follow Ethan as he is put into the program and assigned a Redeemer named Isaac.

I have to admit that this book had a way of breaking my heart, and I really couldn't help but feel for Ethan and Isaac towards end.

I loved the pace of this book, I was definitely hooked and just wanted to keep turning the pages.
