Erasing the past won’t right the wrong.

Hunted, treated like an animal, and forced to act against his conditioning shattered Remedy’s psyche. As much as Gage hates the idea, deleting Rem’s memory of Kalzir is the only way to get his Rem back, not that the Axis has given him a choice.

One moment, Gage is Rem’s lover; the next, he’s back in the friend zone, but at least not forgotten, like Tarrant. Oblivious to his past, Remedy settles back into his gilded cage, content with his life. But Gage can’t forget.

Overwhelmed by memories, Gage is no longer satisfied with his role in the Axis and Rem’s life. Like forbidden fruit, the feelings Rem evoked can’t be forgotten once tasted. The wish to be free intensifies, but what can one person do against the richest corporation in the known universe?

Gage must decide whether to let Rem live with the illusion of free will or risk breaking Rem’s spirit again by revealing the truth for a chance at love and freedom.

Erasure is a gritty, polyamorous, scifi suspense, second in the Progenitor series, set in the future of the Malthusia universe.

Tags: Amnesic hero, high angst, danger, violence, including sexual assault, I’d die for him, bumping egos (and other things), upset the progenitor at your peril, will Gage ever get out of the friend zone?

Emma is the #1 Amazon Bestselling Author of m/m series such as Paint, Incubus, and Lies.

Known as the Queen of MM angst her books include Sci-fi, paranormal, and contemporary romance and always puts her characters through hell before giving them a HEA. She blames her rebellious muse (who looks like Chris from the Paint Series) for the erotic aspects tickling the angst, and the humor cuddling up with the erotic.

When not writing or reading she herds Birman cats and sons; Both groups argue that the other is too large.

Second Progenitor book!!!

Medium angst
High heat
Fun
Amazing world building
Great story

In this second book the characters will have to make strong, life-changing decisions that will bring them together in a forceful proximity that will make them constantly fight and doubt themselves and each other but also seal their bond. All these, spiced up by the constant sexual tension and Rem's multilanguage insults and brattish behavior.

Emma Jaye writes more about Remedy

WOW what great world building, except it’s many worlds in this science fiction series. Emma Jaye has a great imagination that has produced a character like Remedy. This book begins where the first one left off and Remedy in particular is suffering from what happened in the first book. I started reading and couldn’t drag myself away because the whole story is so compelling. The only problem is that book three won’t be out for a while and I want to find out what happens next.
Excellent read that I highly suggest you check out, but start with book one.

4.5 stars. The second part in a continuing series, with a lot of angst and completely unexpected plot twists. Rem is such a heartbreaking character who has been treated as a thing all his life, and Axis refuses to let him have any semblance of an independent life. The idea of memories being erased so easily is really scary. It's a very powerful story so far, and I can't wait for the next episode.

This book was even harder to read than the first.

It breaks your heart from page one but the strength the characters show as the book goes on brings about hope and a warm fuzzy feeling

I really don’t have the words for how good this book is. It picks up immediately after book1 and is a wild ride throughout.
Agony and anguish, banter and snark, protectiveness and love are all presented in some sort of secret recipe known only to the author but together create something special.

Erasure? Absolutely - it blew my mind to pieces. The last part of the first book was truly a marvel of the dark and twisted paths the human mind can take. But the continuation - it doesn't stop there! Gaining speed and strength, it shows how much more there is in store for Remedy - more pain, more challenges, more revelations but also personal growth and transformation.
Losing everything and not even knowing how much you have lost - the author has zero qualms to throw the readers and the characters in the proverbial deepest end of the lake or the darkest side of this thrilling adventure.
Erasure is chock full of spice, steam and action, and we see one new Remedy - who has learned how to demand, fight and claim what he believes is his. From the broken, reformed and reborn pieces of his previous self, has emerged a new version of Rem, that actually has a chance to withstand all the hits, the Axis will throw at him. And I can't wait to see how this will pan out.

"Erasure" is the second book in the series and it can't be read as a standalone. The story continues exactly where the first book ended. I won't spoil anything in my review.
My Goodness this book was epic. It was really easy to get back in the story and the pacing was stunning. I was enthralled from chapter one and I couldn't put it down. It was full of action and twists and turns. I was so anxious for the characters, especially Remedy. My heart ached for him, he went through hell in this book but he grew so much. And it was awesome seeing his relationship with Gage evolve. They have a very interesting dynamic.
There is a scene that surprised me so much my jaw dropped, it was so so good. I love it when books keep me guessing and surprise me like this.
Erasure is the perfect sequel. It has great and relatable characters, awesome pacing, an intriguing plot and fantastic setting.
Honestly, this series has me in a chokehold, I was so sad when the book ended, I wanted more. I can’t wait to read the next one. I need it now.

It's been a joy going back to this world and characters. It was a perfect mix between angst and humor. I think I spend as much time yelling at the author and wanting to throw the book away, as moments in which I was unable to stop laughing. It is high on angst, which is usually one of my favorite things to read, so it was perfect for me just because of that, but the humorous elements worked beautifully to lighten up the mood, which was needed at times.
The characters are all magnificent. They all had some internals struggles that make their points of view very interesting. I'm mostly fond on Gage but I love every one of them. Tarrant is doing a great job trying to win my heart.
The plot is fantastic. So unlike everything I'm use to read, so it was quite hard to predict. It was such an exciting read. I don't think there's anything about it that I didn't love.

A heartbreaking second story in this series. Gage failing to find a way to both help Rem and keep his memory of their feelings intact then being forced to return to their friend relationship. My heart broke for Gage as he tries to figure out some way to have the best for Rem and for the relationship they once had. I cannot wait to see how the author gets the characters who belong together back into a relationship. Plots are set in motion in this story that could lead to happiness for these characters but could also end in disaster and I can't wait for the next book to see how they play out.

Picks up immediately where book 1 left off. I hated seeing Rem having to use his ability to defend himself and then become unconscious from shock because of the conditioning when he was young (seen in book 1). It broke him so bad, they had to use the memory erasure procedure just so he could function again. It was so disheartening to see Rem so scared of everyone and his ability.

It was also sad to hear and see the confirmation about 2 minor side characters. I was holding out hope that Cadmas and co were bluffing but the pickup scene was devastating, especially seeing Dagus's reaction and POV later.

I also appreciated Gage's POV of the past (scenes from Book 1), and how he was picked for Remedy. Tarrant's flashback scenes were also appreciated, though a bit traumatizing (heed warnings) but also wholesome and heartwarming concerning his family. There wasn't a time indication of the flashback though (like "a few weeks ago") so it was a tiny bit confusing when it switched.

Everything was so angsty until the latter half/third, where we see a secret plan set in motion to get Remedy away from the Axis so he's not being used and caged like an animal anymore. I had hoped Dagus would join them, but I understand they needed him to play his part to help them escape. Was happy to see Tarrant and Dagus interact too, and for Tarrant and Gage to have sparks fly though it's still disguised as enemies/rivals.

So excited for the next adventure of these guys but also dreading the problems and angst that's bound to come.

This is the second book in the Progenitor series; this is definitely not a stand-alone book. It is a continuation of the first book. The characters continued to evolve and it was great to watch them grow. The pace makes it really hard to stop reading. The plot is amazing, as there are so many unexpected situations that as the reader I was constantly on edge as to what would happen next. I can’t wait for the next installment in the series.

📚 This story flows smoothly from Book 1, continuing the suspense and angst that keeps readers invested in the characters. The relationships deepen with each chapter, and just when you think you know what’s coming, a twist sneaks in to shake things up.
