Unholy Vows

Rate this book
They say the devil wears many faces... In Boston, he wears a collar.

Father Malachai O’Connor may be a man of the cloth, but he is no savior.
Beneath the cassock lies something far more dangerous… something calculated, obsessive, and bound by no commandments but his own.

A wolf masquerading as a shepherd.

The moment Layla Monroe crossed his path, he became the hunter, and she, the prey. What began as a game quickly spiraled into something darker…

Something twisted, seductive, and utterly unholy.

“Little Sinner, you’re playing in the devil’s playground now. There is no absolution to be found within the darkness.”

But while she was busy watching him... someone else was watching her.

A twisted, intoxicating romance where desire meets psychological suspense.
Perfect for readers who crave moral ambiguity, stalking-as-foreplay, and villains you'll want to sin for.

This book is intended for a mature audience. Please read Trigger Warnings before reading.

Forgive me, Father, for I have sinned. 😈

This was a messy, unhinged, dirty, and steamy ride. ❤️‍🔥 There is something intriguing about a complete psychopath who would do anything to serve his woman, and idk what that says about me, but we are rolling with it. 😎 This story was wild! It kept me on edge and was full of twists at the end, I didn't see coming.

Characters -
❤️ Layla questioned and called herself out almost the entire time, but still gave in to her sins, and i was here for it. Like who could resist a vigilante, motorbike riding, wolf in sheep's clothing? I, too, would kneel down and pray if a morally grey priest was involved.

🖤 Malachai roped me up and straped me in from the very start, taking morally grey to the extreme! He is full of darkness but finds a light within his obsession.

🩷 Margot the dark romance girly at heart, brought a comedic factor table. She is the ultimate best friend we all need that encourages all our bad decisions. She really made me giggle.

If you like your books with cat and mouse vibes, characters that don't shy from boundaries, tension, suspense, and a lot of delectable spice than this one is for you. 🏃‍♀️

As always, a huge thank you to The Authors Archive for this arc opportunity, and thank you, K.J. Johnson for the wild reading ride. 🫶🏻

ARC REVIEW
Unholy Vows by K.J. Johnson
Release Date: 20/09/2025
ARC received through The Authors Archive

This was my first K.J. Johnson book, and what an introduction! I had the pleasure of receiving an ARC, and it did not disappoint.

While some elements became a little predictable toward the end (I had my suspicions early on), one twist surrounding The Boston Phantom still managed to catch me off guard.

And Malachi O’Connor? Sin wrapped in clerics’ robes. I’d happily fall to my knees and let him preach.

K.J.’s writing is sharp, addictive, and easy to sink into. I found myself flying through chapters, and the only reason I didn’t devour it in one sitting was life getting in the way.

I’ll definitely be picking up more of her work in the future. 🖤

If you’re craving a sinful “priest,” a fierce FMC, and a deliciously twisted “stalking as foreplay” dynamic, Unholy Vows is exactly what you need.

Oh. My. Lawd!

K.J. Johnson does it again! The one author who makes me let go of my convictions and just strap in for the ride!

From the very first page meeting Malachai, I knew this wasn’t going to be a saintly read. By day, he’s a Priest, and in his spare time a vigilante, cleaning up the streets in his own way.

Then along comes Layla, with a confession that Malachai… well, encourages!

This story is bold, dark, and unapologetically layered. “Morally grey” doesn’t even come close to describing what unfolds within these pages. There’s cat-and-mouse tension, stalking elements, power play, submission, and a surprising undercurrent of acceptance. Amid the dangerous games, both Malachai and Layla discover something deeper, and unexpectedly tender.

Layla is also very surprising. Although she's wanting to explore a darker side, she has her own mind, will fight back, hold Malachai accountable, and in the most satisfying ways!

The twists at the end had me reeling! Just when I thought the game was up, it kept going, revealing more layers I hadn’t seen woven into the story. I didn’t make a single connection, not one, and that made the ride even more exhilarating.

Well played, K.J. Johnson. Well played!

I devoured this book in one sitting, and I already know I’ll be going back for a re-read. For now… goodbye to convictions, and hello Unholy Vows!

I received an ARC of this book, and this review reflects my honest thoughts and opinions, shared voluntarily.

Wow! Like really this book had me sucked in from page 1. This was definitely a 5 star read for me, I loved every minute of it 😃🖤

We aren’t talking morally grey here, we are probably heading more along the lines of a pitch black MMC. Priest by day, murderous vigilante by night, but like all psychopaths they have their way of worming their way under your skin and you can’t help but be on their team.

Layla was a surprising FMC. I really enjoyed her exploring her sexuality and morals throughout this story.

The story did not feel predictable, there were twists and turns, just when you think the mystery was solved you realize there is more to come and it was completely unhinged in the best ways and deliciously spicy.

If you want a dark romance read that is unhinged, keeps you on your toes and fully captivates you from the get go then this book is for you.

Side note, please make sure to read the trigger warnings to make sure this book is suitable for you.

Holy Hell!

This book 🫶

From the very first page, I was hooked! The tension pulls you in from the get go, and keeps you enraptured the entire time.

The MMC is deliciously possessive and brings touch her and die to a whole new level!! Love, love, love Malachai ❤️

And Layla, that woman is my new Roman Empire! She doesn’t shy away from what she wants, and she doesn’t let Malachai’s dominance steam roll her. She goes head to head with a literal psychopath and I loved every second of it!

The story’s got stalking, serial killers, female empowerment and red-hot spice that will have you wishing you were Layla 🥵

If you like dark romance, characters that are unashamedly themselves who aren’t afraid to cross boundaries, then this one is for you!

Run, don’t walk! I promise you won’t regret it!!

✨ Unholy Vows is the DARK romance of your dreams (if you love danger, spice, and a bit of OMG 😱). The MMC? Totally possessive and dangerous. The FMC? Strong and ready to go toe-to-toe with him. Their chemistry? 🔥.

🚨 Priest + Serial Killer = you need this book. It’s got forbidden themes, dark vibes, and soooo much steam. Like, SO much steam. 🥵🥵

If you're into intense, primal play, suspense, and romance that’ll make your heart race, this one is for YOU. 📖❤️ I literally devoured it in one sitting. Unholy Vows is wild, hot, and totally addicting!

Thank you to The Author’s Archive for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

Holy. Freakin’. Wow. This book came in swinging and did not let up. I’ve never read K.J. Johnson before, but if her other works are anything like Unholy Vows... then just go ahead and sign me up for every twisted ride she's got!

At the center of this dark, intoxicating story is Malachi O’Connor—Father Malachi. Yes, you read that right. He wears the collar and preaches the good word by day... but by night, he gives in to the darkness clawing inside him. He hunts the wicked, not just spiritually, but physically. Is he psychotic? Absolutely. But he owns it. And somehow, you’ll find yourself craving his kind of redemption.

Enter Layla Monroe, a woman just trying to make sense of her life and find a sliver of peace after trauma. She walks into the confessional, at the request of her sister, expecting absolution and instead stumbles into a seduction that’s anything but holy. One confession unlocks a twisted chain of obsession, lust, and a blood-stained path neither of them can walk away from.

This story isn’t just spicy, it’s scorching, and I mean sweat-dripping, breath-stealing levels of spice. But the spice is layered with intense psychological suspense, stalking, murder mysteries, and not one, but two jaw-dropping plot twists that made me pause and yell “NO WAY” out loud. Ok, so I may have guessed one, the but the other one I definitely did not expect.

Think: Dexter meets dark romance… in a confessional booth...with no sense of boundaries.
Yes, it's that dark. Please read the trigger warnings carefully.

If you’re into villains you can’t help but lust after, morally gray characters who walk the line (and sometimes leap over it), and intense dark thrillers that fuse the sacred with the sinful, Unholy Vows is for you. I could not put this book down.

K.J. Johnson… welcome to my auto-buy list.

Book Review: Unholy Vows by K.J. Johnson

So listen… I cracked this open thinking “oh cool, dark romance, corrupt priest, innocent little editor girl”—you know, classic spicy setup.

What I got was the most unhinged, deeply disturbed, depraved smutfest known to humankind. We’re talking:
👉🏻 Masturbating in the confessional (holy water who?)
👉🏻 Casual murder, just tossed in like seasoning
👉🏻 Banging it out on the altar and in the cemetery because why pick one sacred space when you can defile them all?

Now… tiny thing—I’m a foreplay girly. I need a warm-up, a little pre-game show. Layla (our FMC)??? Apparently needs none. She’s out here like “skip to the good part” and Malachai is like say less… take this 🍆

And Malachai… my god. One bad, sexy, morally grey priest with stalking tendencies that had me clutching my …( I need to buy pearls) but also fanning myself. 🚨 Father forgive me, for I have THIRSTED.

BUT can we please acknowledge the real underdog? The bestie Margot.. Absolute goals. She deserves her own spinoff series, preferably with equal amounts of chaos.

Now, was I a little lost in the second act with that random second stalker subplot?? Yes. But it’s because this book moves at such a fast, bat-out-of-hell pace you’re just like “wait, WHAT just happened?”—and then you’re already being steamrolled into the next depravity.

Unholy vows? More like unholy shit, what did I just read?! 😈🔥

Wow!

I picked this one up today thinking I would get a little start on it and read it throughout the week, but here I am at midnight on a Wednesday writing a review.

The first chapter made my jaw drop and I was hooked immediately. This story takes absolutely no prisoners.

“You know, Father, you don’t sound like any priest I’ve ever met.” 👀

The MMC is an actual psychopath in that beautiful dark romance way with look-at-her-and-die vibes, one step above touch-her-and-die. He’s possessive, protective and deliciously morally grey. But don’t worry, God is (probably) on his side.

Our FMC explores not only her desires, but also her morality in this story while playing with *her* monster. I loved reading her reactions to the devious things the MMC did.

Fair warning - this one isn’t kidding about DARK. Including the humour, I was giggling so much at some of the banter I had to explain myself to my husband and he just doesn’t seem to understand.

Overall the writing was amazing, I loved each and every character and the pacing was perfect. I won’t hesitate to read K.J. Johnson again and again.

Quick Summary
🪽This book explodes with intensity from the start. Blending violence, mystery, and masterfully written spice. Layla’s primal need to be hunted unfolds alongside Malachi’s dangerously seductive presence.

Reading Thoughts
📔Started off with a bang with violence and spice.
📔Hands down the spice is written so well
📔Layla’s need to be hunted and why is not overly obvious however starts to become clearer further into the book.
📔Who knew Priests could be soo damn sexy. There is something about Malachi that just made my blood boil in all the right ways. He is unhinged as F but somehow pulls it off.
📔Loved the villains and the connections throughout the story.

Words that Linger

🍷I wasn’t going to chase her. I was going to hunt her. And when I caught her, I was going to devour her.

🍷It was the fear that came from wanting something you knew you shouldn’t.

Our MMC, Father Malachai is a priest and is suddenly obsessed with a lady who walks into his confessional. He's a vigilante serial killer, using the cloth as a sort of shield to hide his darker side. But someone else is watching her, too.

FMC: Layla. Freelance Editor. And she's no slouch. She tries to keep him out of her apartment, searches for cameras and intentionally eggs this guy on. "I'm not calling the cops because I want to see what you do next." Hell yeah, girl. I mean, one night, she looks out her window and sees him staring at her from the street. So what does she do? Masturbate in front of said window then writes, "FUCK YOU" in her own cum on the pane. Yes.

MMC: Father Malachai O'Connor. Vigilante Killer Priest. We see him commit a few murders along the way.

Tropes: Breaking and Entering (Multiple times). Drugging the FMC to install a tracker. Stalking. Semen Chapstick. Primal Play. Yes, they . Some blood/knife play. Confessional Masturbation.

Primal Play kicks off pretty quickly and it's one scene. But it's fairly decent, not some "run around the kitchen" bullshit. Layla actually puts up a fight. Side note: it's in a cemetery. Yes, it ends as it properly should.

So what didn't I enjoy? 3 things.

1) Layla and Malachai's backstories are lacking.
2) Back half wasn't as strong as the front half (I figured out the ending in entirety early on)
3) I wanted more Priest Malachai. I wanted Sermon scenes where he's completely fooling his parishioners and Layla is in disbelief at how his community is falling for it. I just... needed more Priest-stuff. It was mostly internal dialogue, which, meh.

DUAL POV, HEA. Pictures in between chapters.
It was a fun read for a new release (considering some other hot garbage I've read). So, I found it worth it.

Pet Name: Little Sinner

Lord above... the spice in this book... it be spicin'..

Father Malachai O'Connor... Priest by day, vigilante hunter by night... psychopath always ! And you know what.. I am colour blind to this guys flashing red flags! Brace yourself people, he has that delicious Irish accent and the mouth on this guy! This MMC is just... chef's kiss 💋

Our FMC, she has her trauma, but she is fiesty and a little twisted herself. She wants to explore the darkside but is also slightly hesitant to do so. But once she takes that step into Malachi's darkness, she owns it, and she doesn't take shit from him or anyone.

I was hooked on this book from the first chapter because I mean, come on... spice in the first chapter !!

I was lucky enough to have received an ARC of this book and i can honestly say without bias, this book was great, i was hooked from the first chapter, and not just because of the spice in the first chapter, but because Malachi's character really intrigued me and I just wanted to read more about him. Even the side characters were good, we have a sassy un-serious best friend (which i mean in the best way) and an associate that gives Morally Grey golden retriever vibes (and I desperately want to see more of that character)

Although I am one for more of a slow burn, this fast-paced burn did not deter me, and I ate it up ! I was hanging on each page, and just when I thought things were coming to an end, I was pleasantly surprised there was more. The twists keep you on edge and are a couple were unexpected.

If you like dark romance, posessive/Obsessive MMCs, fiesty FMCs, Stalking and all that fun stuff, then you absolutely need to check this one out

PLEASE CHECK TRIGGER WARNINGS BEFORE READING BECAUSE THIS IS A DARK ROMANCE AND WILL NOT BE FOR EVERYONE... SO KNOW YOUR LIMITS AND HAPPY READING!!

Holy Hell that was a fun ride!!! 😈

This book is NOT a slow burn - it grabs you by the throat in the very first chapter 🥳

❤️Our FMC Layla is a curious book girly, with past trauma and a take no nonsense attitude

🖤Then there is our MMC, super hot priest Father Malachai O'Connor - who is not morally grey - he is as pitch black as the night and waves ALL the red flags which thankfully we are all color blind to 😉
The man looked like trouble, wrapped in temptation, ready to make sin feel like salvation.

🩷 Margot is Layla's bestie and a dark romance girly who gives Layla the advice all of us dark romance girlies would 🤭between her, the banter throughout and god dropping in with imaginary commentary this book will give you some serious giggles

This is a VERY dark romance (in the best way possible), with brilliant characters who are true to themselves and their flaws.

The spice is spicy and the story is definitely not what you expect, nothing feels predictable and the mystery and the twists and turns will keep you guessing all the way.

I devoured this book the way Father Malachai devoured Layla on the altar - seriously it is fast paced and you will be turning pages like a crazy lady (bring pearls to clutch and a fan because it gets super hot here)

Forgive me father - I loved this book so much!! and I highly recommend this to anyone who can handle the trigger warnings

Thank you K.J. for giving us another morally grey man who deliciously scrambled our sense of right and wrong 🖤

In the middle of reading a reeaaalllly long series and decided to take a break with this one. And wow, this did NOT disappoint.
This one is for all our dark romance girlies 😈 From page one, you knew this book would keep you hooked. My favourite character was Margot, the best friend, bc that is deadass me 🧚‍♀️ The main characters were both strong-willed, even if Lyla had her moments - and let's be real, as women, we always have our moments.
The chase scene? Incredible. B&E? Life changing (literally). A little NC body modification? 😌
All in all, what really kept me going was how well-written the book was; whether the book itself is your cup of tea or not, hands down one of the most well-written books I've read this year so kudos to KJ Johnson. It's hard to find authors that can actually write this day and age.
There honestly wasn't much I didn't like about the book, every page had me turning to the next and I couldn't wait to get home to read it.
Whoever says romance is dead needs to learn that death is romance, and Malachi definitely proved that to Lyla throughout. Ugh, Malachi, how I wish you were real 😔🤍 My perfect, little psychopath.
This book is definitely on the dark spicy side, so readers beware.

Unholy Vows is a wild ride from the very first page. The pacing is intense and relentless, pulling you into a dark, obsessive romance wrapped in psychological suspense.

The morally grey male lead gives strong “touch her and you’ll die” energy. He’s possessive, dangerous, and completely captivating. His character arc is compelling, and his presence drives the story forward in a gripping way.

The female lead starts off more timid, though there’s always a hint of inner strength. As the story unfolds, her growth becomes evident. She rises to match the intensity of the MMC in her own way, which adds depth to the dynamic and makes their connection feel earned by the end.

As much as I loved that it was a quick read I could devour, I found myself wanting a bit more depth. The last 40% of the book felt rushed compared to the strong and well-paced beginning. A little more time to flesh out the ending would have made the payoff feel more satisfying.

Still, this is a dark, addictive romance filled with obsession, mystery, and intensity. If you enjoy morally grey men and stories with emotional stakes and suspense, this one is definitely worth checking out.

So… turns out this one is exactly my flavour of trouble 😏

He's the kind of man your mama warned you about. A danger gift-wrapped in desire, the kind you know you shouldn't touch… but tell me why he fits my taste a little too perfectly? 🙈

Malachai is not just a walking red flag. He's the whole warning label. The one you thought would cleanse your sins, but trust me, he's the one who'll stain you instead. There is no absolution, only temptation 🫣

And Layla isn't the kind of woman who is afraid to step into the shadows. She doesn't just chase her fantasies. She hunts them, letting her darkness lead the way, unafraid of what she might awaken 😈

What happens when chaos finds its mirror? It devours, and suddenly, sin tastes like home🌹

"Most men would bring flowers or snacks. But not you, Malachai. Noooo, your psycho 🍑 offers to off my client." - Layla

"I thought you said my 🍑 was sculpted, not psycho." - Malachai.

I laughed so hard when he pouted 🤣

A 5☆ read. I'll kneel anywhere he tells me to 🧎‍♀️🥵

⚠️ If dark, twisted, and psychopathic priest aren't your thing… RUN! Otherwise, welcome to the madness 😈 Check those trigger warnings. Your mental health matters 🌼

KJ has a way of introducing me to books I thought I’d never try! This book was DARK but despite my initial hesitation, I ended up enjoying it so much! The way this author writers morally black characters keeps me coming back for more! I started and finished this book in less than 24 hours because I couldn’t put it down!!

I haven’t read any stalker romances before this one, but this was incredibly interesting and I liked the POV changes between Malachai and Layla! The characters themselves were incredibly interesting, mixed with a fast paced plot was great. Not to mention the spice was SPICING. Like woooweee!

Incredible read! But also make sure to check the trigger warnings.

Unholy Vows by KJ Johnson is a deliciously dark, unhinged read that will pull you in right from page one and keep you addicted until the very end.

And uhm hellooo Father Malachai O’Connor... 🥵 it has never once crossed my mind that EVER... to think dirty things about a priest. Well, forgive me Father for I have sinned. 😂 Malachi is a possessive, obsessive, psychopath who is a priest by day & vigilante by night (whaaaat it's hooooot!!!)

The chemistry between him and Layla is *chefs kiss* 🤌🤌 I absolutely love how she isn't afraid to talk back & demand accountability.

This story is expertly crafted to involve so many twists, turns, and so many meticulous layers. I will definitely read this author again! Highly recommend!

The intense tension grips you fiercely from the start and never lets go, pulling you deeper into its spell with every word. The MMC is an intoxicating blend of possessiveness and raw passion that elevates the "touch her and die" mantra to an entirely new, electrifying level! My love for Malachai knows no bounds — he’s utterly delicious, fiercely protective, and irresistibly.

This story is a whirlwind of stalking shadows, chilling serial killers, explosive female empowerment, and seductive spice that will leave you breathless — wishing you could step into Layla’s shoes and feel that adrenaline rush yourself.

If you crave dark, daring romance with characters unapologetically themselves, unbound by boundaries, then this is an absolute must-read!

father malachai 🥵 vigilant anti by night - stalker priest by day. I was colour blind to his red flags because goddam was the chemistry electrifying. who doesnt love a man in a mask that makes you fear him and chases you through a cemetery.

layla our MFC was a quiet little mouse who had some dark fantasies and lets just say malachai made those fantasies come to life.

I devoured this book like the way malachai devoured layla. it was hot, steamy, dark and it felt wrong but oh so right at the same time.

the twists and turns and unexpected endings made those book so much better! I did not expect the stalker to be him!

im not normally a fan of religious romances but this dark romance hit all the right spots!

This was everything I crave in a dark romance!! It was impossible to put down. 🥵🥵

Our MMC is the kind of danger that makes you lean closer instead of running away and is totally forbidden in all the best ways! sin, desire, and power woven together into something twisted yet irresistible.

This book was drenched in tension. What begins as a game between hunter and prey quickly spirals into something darker and more consuming, and I loved every minute of it.

If you’re new to dark romance (like me), this is one that will grip you, push your comfort zone. A perfect mix of angst, spice, and moral blackness

I’d play again.

This first chapter draws you in with dirty and sinful confessionals- definitely a banging good way to start off a book and get a feel of these two characters.

Malachai- firstly any MMC with this name is perfect in the best and darkest ways. He's an unaliving priest, a stalker, obssessive and only has eyes for Layla.
Layla is rather popular with stalkers, she's stubborn and sassy and not a great stomach for unaliving but is as supportive as she can be.

What I loved about this book: fast paced storyline, a few plot twists that were slightly predictable but twisted enough to keep you thinking and reading for more. It was dark, there was a range of kinks explored- primal play, somnophilia, knife's, blood- and barely any physical foreplay.

Father Malachai O’Connor is a man of the cloth ruled by obsession rather than faith, and when Layla Monroe crosses his path, a dark and dangerous game begins where temptation, control, and psychological tension blur the line between hunter and prey.

I honestly have no idea how this book found its way onto my TBR, but I suspect the absolutely stunning cover had something to do with it.

The story starts off strong and immediately pulled me in. I genuinely thought I was about to find a new dark romance obsession. Unfortunately, while I can admit it is well written, easy to read, and has an intriguing premise, I was not the die hard fan I expected to be.

Although it is marketed as a dark romance, I personally struggled to see the romance. To me, this felt more like a spicy psychological story with dark themes rather than a love story. The connection between Malachai and Layla came across as unhealthy obsession and fixation rather than genuine love. Possessiveness and an uncontrollable urge to claim someone do not automatically equal romance, and I found it difficult to emotionally invest in their bond.

I also wished for more character development, especially when it came to Malachai. I wanted deeper insight into his mind and motivations beyond the obsession. The instant attraction and extreme fixation after such limited interaction felt overwhelming, and that dynamic is not typically something I gravitate toward.

While the plot itself was interesting and the pacing made it easy to move through, this one simply was not for me.

Forgive me Father for I have sinned (again).

The teasers from K.J had me beyond excited to get my hands on this book and I was not disappointed.
Father Malachai (the MMC) might engage in some interesting activities outside his business hours with the big man himself but those red flags? Dayum.
Layla (the FMC) most assuredly did not anticipate the repenting she'd be doing once her path crossed with Malachai's.

This story is dark and oh so decadent. If you like danger, spice and a plot that will keep you turning pages like no ones business, than Unholy Vows is for you.

As always, please remember to read the triggers and have fun reading.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ + 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
ARC Review.

Where do I even start!
Taboo, spice and darkness.
The best combination.

Malachai is purely wicked and whilst my brain tells me that this priest is a terrible human my inside voice is screaming absolutely to all of the messed up things he does.

FMC Layla the little Sinner is an absolute vibe. Her inside voice makes me lose it and like many of you, I’m sure we can relate, we all have that voice inside our heads to telling us what we should be doing or getting therapy for.

K.J.Johnson has nailed this story with great characters, a solid plot and great suspense.
Will definitely be picking up more of her books!

🌟A massive thankyou to this author for providing me with an early copy of this book in return for an honest review🌟

Forgive me father, for I have sinned…. While reading this book and absolutely devouring Malachai 🤦🏻‍♀️

I bloody loved the FMC Layla, I thought she really loved teetering on the edge and pushing the limits with herself. I thought she was powerful and represented women so well!

Malachai is a lowkey dream boat.
He represented everything we LOVE about unhinged men with the outside portrayed his innocence.

This book had me drooling by the first chapter, and boy our amazing author did not disappoint.

If you love unhinged MMC and fierce FMC’s this book is for you!

I am obsessed with Malachai and Layla. This book had me invested from page one! Malachai is a priest by day and vigilante/stalker by night. He takes morally gray to a whole other level. Damn near pitch black. Lala is a strong, curious, and intelligent FMC that keeps our MMC on his toes and coming back for more. The spice was amazing in this book. It was really hot. I loved how curious and bold Layla was even after everything she had already endured in her life. The spice wasn't everything though, there were still plenty of twists and turns and thrills that kept you guessing. I highly recommend checking this one out.

Forgive me father for I have sinned!
These pages 😮‍💨🥵 pheeeeew! I need to find some holy water and absolutely douse myself in it! I’d say I need to go to confessional but uh, after that first chapter I don’t think I’ll ever look at a church the same again.
The writing was amazing, it had me hooked from word guy. Father Malachi 🥵 man is a WALKING NEON red flag but I am here for it! Never fallen so fast for a fictional morally grey man 😍
Amazing work K.J! Can’t wait to get this bad boy on my shelf!
