Vow of Venom

Rate this book
One moment of brutal truth to my sister, and both our worlds collapsed into darkness.
The confession had barely left my lips—the truth about Hunter and me laid bare before Olivia—when men drugged us and dragged us from the masquerade’s shadows. Her eyes, still wide with betrayal and shock from my revelation, were the last thing I saw before darkness claimed us both.

Now, captives in a nightmare neither of us created, Olivia and I face a twisted reality where our personal drama pales in comparison to the dangerous game surrounding us. The sister I betrayed has become my only ally in a prison designed to break us.

Hunter Reed—billionaire, secret Viper, the man who set my body and heart aflame—has transformed into something terrifying in his quest to reclaim us. We hear the men talk of how he is tearing through the city’s underworld, sacrificing everything he built to find what he considers his.

As Olivia and I struggle to stay alive, bitter truths emerge from the shadows: my father’s suicide was orchestrated, Olivia’s engagement was strategic manipulation, and I, caught between family loyalty and passion, was always meant to be the catalyst for destruction.

With each passing hour in captivity, as Olivia processes my betrayal while fighting for our survival, I’m forced to question everything: Is Hunter fighting to save us both, or merely to possess what he claims as his own? And when forced to choose between my sister’s forgiveness and Hunter’s dangerous love, which path leads to salvation, and which to ruin?

This book picks up right where Vow of Malice ends. Aurora and her sister, Olivia have been kidnapped and Hunter is tearing the world apart to get to her. There are twists in this book that has me 😬. I love a man who’s willing to burn the world down for his woman! And while this is the conclusion of Hunter and Aurora’s story, you’re still left with a tiny cliffhanger with what’s going on with Olivia.

My Thoughts 💭

What can I say Aurora the girl is so stuck on what she believes is her father's s*cide she can't get over it, and she lost her mother and all she has left is her stepfather and her sister and she then runs into Hunter and he believes that she's about to jump when really she's not and they almost kiss.

Hunter is in the secret society he can't really tell what he does he has a lot of secrets and essentially lives a whole other life. Though he thinks he's doing an orange marriage with her when really it's her sister Olivia.

Right from the beginning you can tell that Hunter has fallen head over heels for her and she thinks about him constantly but when it comes down to it he is straight up obsessed with her.

There is a spicy video call there is forbidden touches and glances and riskey situations.

You have tension and undeniable yearning from both of them and as hard Aurora fights this she can't, also you have Olivia her sister and she's keeping this huge secret for her and to be honest the girl really didn't have to that's just my opinion.

Overall the plot between both books is smoothly done to the point you don't see a gap when the first book ends and the second one begins but there is a cliffhanger at the end of the first one.

Also the second book you start to really get so enthralled and Olivia, Ari and Jax and you start to question Jack's being a psychopath and Olivia and Ari are perfect for each other. With that said I cannot wait for the trilogy that's coming.

I did find some things ironic and sometimes I thought the characters needed to like me slapped upside the head a few times because I just think at times the character has gotten their own way of their happiness.

Overall I loved the duet and I also cannot wait for what is to come because the ending of this duet leaves you wanting the side characters.

I just gotta tell you, when I seen this arc available, I legit squealed soooo loud! I'd been waiting on bated breath for this book, checking daily for it, and once I received it and read it, it was absolutely EVERYTHING!! This duet is, by far, one of the very best I've read to date! You have created a literal masterpiece here! I can not tell you enough how utterly perfect this duet is! It absolu5⁵tely OWNS me!!

Book two picked up where one left off with the kidnapping of Aurora and her sister, Liv, by Hunter's boss, Jax. As Hunter tears through city to city, looking for his beloved Aurora and her sister, truths are revealed between Aurora and Liv, but Jax also drops some heavy revelations on Aurora that involve Hunter and her deceased father, making her question if she ever really knew Hunter at all, all while she tries to protect Liv from the obvious deep desires Jax has made known he harbors for her. Only, after waking from one of the numerous times she's been drugged, Aurora finds she's now alone, that Jax has taken her sister from the cell they shared. He, of course, refuses to divulge where he's keeping her. Hunter finally finds and rescues Aurora, but there's still no Liv. And the truths Jax revealed weigh cold and heavy between him and Aurora. Is the love they share strong enough to overcome the damage inflicted by all that's been revealed, or did the aftermath leave nothing left to come back from?

Hunter and Aurora's ending made my heart happy! Yes, the ending left things still unanswered, but those answers will be revealed in the upcoming trilogy centered around Liv and Jax. I'm here, not so patiently waiting for the next book. When I say you will be HOOKED on these books, I mean they will sink their literal hooks deep into you, slay you in the best of ways, and keep you begging for more and more.

This is book 2 in the Hunter and Prey Duet, so be sure to read book 1 if you haven't already (this book may contain spoilers from that book).

I loved how unhinged Hunter becomes when he finds out that Aurora was taken - there's nothing like an alpha unaliver finding out the woman he's obsessed with is in the enemy's hands!! You know that this type of MMC will burn down the world and leave nothing in their path to find their FMC.

I felt like the majority of the book was about finding Aurora and Olivia, which did go on a little longer than expected. Because of that, I felt a bit of a disconnect with the two MCs, like the emotional connection was forced. There were a few spicy scenes in this one, but I did feel he became a little softer than I would have liked (for being such a deadly unaliver), and because they're apart most of the book, they weren't together for things to happen.

The girls were very courageous, and Aurora tried her best to shield her sister. There was a twist in the book that was very interesting, which I enjoyed.

I'm still glad I read it, excited for the next one and am so happy that they got their HEA!

Will Hunter’s determination to get Aurora and Olivia back win?
Aurora’s pain is deep for keeping her relationship with Hunter from Olivia and add to that with their capture at the end of book one, emotions are high! The sisters put their past behind them to work on a means of escape and Aurora is against Olivia’s idea. But it’s almost like Jax has ESP in to Olivia’s mind and plays her plans against her. In the meantime, you can feel Hunter’s desperation as more time slips by when he misses rescuing Aurora and Olivia by seemingly minutes. As Hunter’s friends work together against Jax and the Vipers, they become strategic and catch up with them with only 50% results. Hunter’s friend Ari becomes the desperate one now and you’ll scream at what he gets himself into. As Aurora and Hunter patch up their broken relationship from hidden secrets, will they be able to find their happily ever after knowing a key piece of their families is missing? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put the book down until you turn the last page!

This second installment in the series seamlessly picks up exactly where the previous book left off, immediately drawing the reader into a captivating narrative that keeps you engrossed from the very first page until the final sentence. The dynamic between Hunter and Aurora is truly electrifying; their scenes are filled with an undeniable, palpable chemistry that creates an intense, edge-of-your-seat reading experience. While romance undoubtedly takes center stage, the story masterfully avoids being solely reliant on it. Instead, it expertly weaves in thrilling elements of action and suspense, resulting in a compelling blend that makes it incredibly difficult to put the book down. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone seeking an exciting and unforgettable read!.

Hunter and Aurora’s story picks up where the first book ended. It’s a tense situation that she and her sister, Olivia, finds themselves: kidnapped by Hunter’s partner in crime, Jax. I loved the suspense, the danger, all the tactical details, and the drama! Jax is a very twisted character, Hunter is beyond broken looking for Aurora, and the emotional connection grows exponentially with every failed attempt at rescue. Hunter’s darkness, his ruthlessness made him seem beyond redemption, but his love for her is all encompassing! I loved the single mindedness, her ability to forgive, and the strength in their relationship! They have a HFN, but the story is unresolved for some of the characters. I can’t wait for the next book!!.

Vow of Venom is the second story in the Hunter and Prey duet. It is suspenseful and entertaining. It is important to read Vow of Malice first as this is a duet.

This story picks up where the first one left off. Aurora and her sister have been kidnapped by Hunter's partner, Jax. Hunter is on a mission to find Aurora and her sister. He is obsessed with finding them and will tear the world apart to do so. The sisters have to try to work together to break free. Jax only wants power and is manipulative to Olivia. Hunter and Aurora have to come to terms with all their secrets from each other.

Hunter and Aurora's story is filled with action and twists. You don't want to miss their story. I look forward to more from this talented author.

The conclusion to the Hunter and Prey duet and what an ending!!

The book picks up at the end of the first one, and we find Aurora and her sister being held hostage by Jax and Hunter tearing apart the city looking for them.

Having to try to protect her sister and also confessing about loving her fiance, doesn't leave much room for Aurora to try to come up with an escape plan but she holds faith that Hunter will find them.

There are loads of emotions in this book as Aurora and Hunter deal with their feelings for each other and the ongoing search for Jax. The spice will have you reaching for a damp cloth and a glass of cold water!

A great conclusion to the duet.

Just when you thought Bianca would give us a HAE, we get a partial one…We continue our journey with Hunter and Aurora, and dive deeper into their story…we get the gun/knife fights, the yelling father and the evil henchmen. Please check your trigger warnings where there are some scenes that are in them. I am happy that we know what happens to Hunter and Aurora, but I hated the wait to find out, but I guess thats how things work. Highly recommend grabbing the first book and re-reading so you can just pick up the second book. With under 200 pages I was able to finish this in just over 2hrs.

This conclusion was well written, with thrilling struggles for both Hunter and Aurora. The twisted manipulation of Jax added meat to the story.
I felt quite sympathetic to Aurora's horror finding out about her father's death and the role Jax played.
Hunter's relentless pursuit of Jax and his subsequent rescue of Aurora kept my interest.
I applauded Aurora's acceptance of Hunter's sincere apologies for his role in covering up her father's death.
A wonderful dark read, be sure and read the trigger warnings.

Vow Of Venom is book 2 in the Hunter And Prey duet and picks up Hunter and Aurora's story from Vow Of Malice. If you remember all hades broke loose when Aurora confessed to Olivia in Vow Of Malice and these two were taken. Well, Vow Of Venom continues on with the chaos in a huge way! Hunter is tearing the world apart looking for Aurora and the twists, turns and surprises that come out in the midst of all of this is unbelievable! Vow Of Venom wraps up Hunter and Aurora's story and this author left us with just a
taste of Liv's story. 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥I can't wait!

Plot: 3.5/5 • Spice: 4/5 —————> That ending was bullshit. How the hell is that end of Aurora and Hunters duet?? I understand book 3 is Liv and Ari, but wtf. How’s it just going to end when they’re still searching for them???

This picked up where Liv and Aurora were taken, and Hunter and whomever was loyal to him were on the hunt. Apparently Jax has had his eye on Olivia for quite sometime now. So the lines hope blurred when they were captive. When Jax was making moves on Olivia was she against it really or was she into it? I understand she was with Ari before this, but the lines were blurred. And now Jax has her because when rescue comes it’s only aurora in the basement.

Again, supper peeved about how this ended. I have to assume Hunter and Aurora will have a chunk in book three, but idk. It’s a duet for that reason.

This book picks up where Vow of Malice ends. Hunter is searching for Aurora and her sister, Olivia.

Wow! Hunter is a man on a mission. He will burn it all down to find his woman. Aurora couldn’t ask for a better man. There are twists in this book and it ends on a cliffhanger regarding Olivia. The author does say she will be featured in the next book (a trilogy)!

I enjoyed this duet and I am not a fan of duets or trilogies. It can be read in an afternoon.

I loved the first book Vow of Malice, and the story picks up after Aurora and her sister, Olivia have been kidnapped. Hunter is tearing the world apart to get to her. I love a man who doesn't stop to find his woman, he feels new emotions, he's scared and a manic searching for Olivia and the danger that surrounds them. A captivating conclusion with a few twists and turns as betrayal, lies, secrets are unravelling. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book 2 of the Hunter & Prey duet. For maximum enjoyment read the previous book before this one.

'One moment of brutal truth to my sister, and both our worlds collapsed into darkness.'

The characters continue to grow and develop and fascinate. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building continues to excel and impress. A satisfying conclusion to the duet. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend.

Hunter & Prey book 2 was really good…
After Aurora and her stepsister Olivia were kidnapped by Viper Villain Jax, he continues his psychological abuse, rapidly escalating to physically abusing them. Hunter knows what Jax is capable of and vowed to tear the world apart to get them back and make him pay for what he’s done. He’s only partially successful so the saga continues… I received a free copy of this book. This review was posted voluntarily.

When we left the first book, Olivia & Aurora were taken by Jax, Hunter's psycho boss. I'm honestly not sure if I'm supposed to like Jax, if he really has an interest in Olivia.
While in captivity, Jax reveals that he killed her father, and that Hunter is just as much of a monster as he is.
The remainder is spent with Hunter & Aurora healing together.

The conclusion to "Vow Of Malice," was all I had hoped for & more! When Aurora & her sister Olivia are kidnapped by Jax, Hunter will burn the world down & take out anyone in his way. There are so many twists & turns I definitely didn't see coming & it made it a but different than other Mafia style books. While Hunter is taking out anyone in his way; Aurora & Olivia are in the hands of a bad man. Aurora finds out so much about her past & its not what she expected. What will she do with this new information? How is Hunter involved? Will she forgive or get revenge? Will Olivia forgive Aurora for sleeping with her fiance? Hunter isn't the kind of man who lets what he loves walk away. We are introduced to Olivia charater more in this book, along with Jax. The dynamic between then is tense & leaves you wanting more. Hunter & Aurora's story comes to an end BUT we're left on a cliff hanger with Olivia's story & I can't wait for the answers. This book flowed like "Vow of Malice," the story, the world building, & all the dots are connected in Hunter & Aurora's world! Another beautifully written story by Bianca!

Wow, this is book 2 of a duet and it picks up right from the cliff hanger of book 1. Olivia and Aurora are held captive and we get to see Hunter go full rage mode to find his girl. I was surprised by the events of their captivity. The whole chase to find them was intense and had me at the edge of my seat. Great story and I can’t wait to see what happens with Ari and Olivia next.

Book 2 of Hunter & Prey

This book picks up right where we left off in book 1 and had me hooked from beginning to end. This was one of those have-you-on-the-edge-of-your-seat thrilling suspenseful action packed books. I was surprised by some of the unexpected turns, it was a full-on rollercoaster ride.
