This novel is a gripping fusion of thriller, fantasy, and noir set against the atmospheric backdrop of 1990’s Genoa. Told through the eyes of an unnamed, genderless first-person protagonist, the story begins with a simple premise — caring for a mute, immobile Nonno after a boating accident. But wastes no time unravelling into a bigger problem.

The author crafted a mood drenched in suspense and rain-soaked mystery, where reality blurs with the fantastical. The eerie sighting of a woman in the water sets off a chain of chilling events, propelled by an unsettling figure, whose menacing presence looms large throughout the narrative.

This novel is a must-read for fans of dark urban fantasy and psychological thrillers who appreciate complex narratives that defy easy answers. With its moody setting, intense suspense, and unforgettable characters, it delivers a haunting and unforgettable journey of twists beneath the surface of both the sea and the human psyche.
