Enemies in Wedlock

Rate this book
A laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers arranged marriage romance with sizzling chemistry.
Ayesha Kapoor is ambitious, fiercely independent, and determined never to lose—especially to the infuriatingly charming man who’s been her lifelong rival. Winning is easy; not falling for him might be her hardest challenge yet.

Riyansh Malhotra is confident, dangerously charismatic, and accustomed to always getting what he wants—except when it comes to the quick-witted woman who’s driven him crazy since childhood. Now, thanks to their meddling families, the battle moves from boardrooms to bedrooms.

When these stubborn childhood rivals are forced into an arranged marriage, sparks fly, sarcastic banter heats up, and their carefully constructed walls begin to crumble. But neither is ready to surrender their pride, let alone admit their explosive attraction is anything but inconvenient.

If you love:

Laugh-out-loud romantic comedy
Enemies-to-lovers arranged marriage tropes
Witty banter and sizzling chemistry
Indian contemporary romance novels with family drama
Rivalry turning into irresistible attraction
Then you'll fall head over heels for Enemies in Wedlock—a deliciously funny, slow-burn romance where two fierce competitors discover that the line between hate and love is dangerously thin.

This is a standalone romance with a guaranteed happily-ever-after, no cheating, and plenty of spice.

This was a quick read and had a few moments that made me smile. The premise had potential, and the light tone worked initially.

Unfortunately, the same situations are repeated again and again, which made the story feel stretched. The writing often carries a strong robotic feel, making the emotions and humor less effective over time.

While it offers some light entertainment, the repetitive narrative and lack of depth made it hard for the story to leave a lasting impression.

Forced vows. Fiery tempers. Forbidden feelings. This marriage of convenience is anything but convenient—and every clash crackles with tension. Perfect for fans of enemies-to-lovers done with drama, heat, and heart.

I wish while writing India based characters, desi authors stop Americanizing them so much.

This book was not worth my time. Should have DNFed it.
