Book One of THE ZOMBIE EXTINCTION EVENT NOVELS-Suffer The Little Children by Seattle author C.S Anderson. A bizarre pathogen has turned every child in the world who hasn't passed through puberty into a ravenous zombie! This creates a hell on Earth where zombie children roam the streets starving for living flesh...
C.S Anderson has been writing stories since he could form written words, his lastest book is BLACK IRISH which is also his first vampire novel. Check it out it is available as both a kindle download and as a trade paperback on amazon.com
Really good short first part in series. It has a bit of a new take on zombies, dealing mostly with children where as a lot of authors avoid this topic as much as they can. (Except for shock value) I will definitely continue this series. Narration was excellent as well. I was voluntarily provided this review copy at no charge by the author, publisher and or narrator.
Started off really great and the idea of children being the bad guys made it all so creepy! I did find I was loosing interest towards the end, but overall a good read!
If you like modern zombie stories (viral outbreak instead of Haitian voodoo) that follow a band of survivors in an impossibly harsh world, you'll have fun with this one.
What made the story really effective for me was the set-up: Zombie kids. No one knows why it's only kids and not adults, but there they are. Zombie kids. Creepy, angry, hungry little zombie kids.
There's plenty of action, a little gore, and the start of a romance, but for the most part, this really did feel like the roller coaster climbing the hill. Can't wait to read the next installment!
At first I thought it would bother me that the zombies were all children. But Chuck Anderson does such a great job of writing you don't see them that way. You only see them as zombies. The characters are great and the storyline is top notch, although I wish the book was longer. This could become a long and popular series. It did have that nice twist at the end, which I always love.
This book was not at all what I expected. It was even better! The author has managed to come up with a zombie apocalypse unlike any other I have ever read and does it well. I can't wait to read the next book and see where things go from here.
