I love Bianca Cole books!! This is a dark arranged marriage mafia romance. Carmella is traded to Silvo De Luca by her brother. Without realizing who he was Carmella slept with Silvo after a night out with her friend. This is full of heat, angst, suspense and lots of action. Looking forward to the next book in this series!!

This rating has nothing to do with either character. Actually they were both somewhat entertaining in their back and forth banter. This rating is about a story that is one amongst "how many" that are beginning to feel like they are a version of "cut and paste" of the arranged marriage scenario. If you are new to this genre or read it seldom, then you may really enjoy it. For me it is just the same version with the same wording used throughout so many of these arranged marriage stories that have taken an entertaining concept and run it into the ground with the brother, father, Uncle or family who sells their daughter, sister, niece or cousin into an arranged marriage without even discussing it with them until the deal is made. Often times, more than not; it is because they have debts they ran up or have ran their Mafia families into the ground. Who, like so many before; need an "alliance" that can only be gotten through a marriage of two people who know nothing about each other, from two different families, often enemies, that somehow in 2026 can't be done in real time with a binding contract that doesn't include the sale or purchase of a woman. Fiction should, at a minimum align itself with some reality when researching a story because it is not fantasy, or science fiction.
The blurb made me think that this story would take a different route with a feisty heroine who unfortunately by 25 percent had already given in and was quickly getting into the "sex will save us" concept that seems to immediately override common sense in today's world. The happy ending these books are all gifted don't take into considerations how many women commit suicide, are victims of sexual and physical abuse, are killed by a questionable auto accident by their evil husbands, or must live with a constant array of mistress's and their children throughout their lives while they play mommy and hubby does whatever he likes. I get the initial appeal, but only those few authors who aren't afraid to step out of the box with an original story in this storyline will get my support. I will no longer pay for one of these types of stories and only use KU.

Captivating read, arranged marriage and a possessive read that had me totally riveted innits pages
She had been traded as though she had no more value than a poker chip, the amount had been run up by her stepbrother and without any warning he had her up rooted from her home and sent across country to Philadelphia where she was expected to marry Silvo De Luca.
She has actually slept with him prior to her actually knowing who he was and then after a night that had completely rocked her world she has been surprised by the agreed contract where she was going to marry Silvo De Luca a very dangerous and handsome mafia boss.
This is a story of tension and power where the power between the crime families showed how intense this world actually was, and as his wife it was necessary for her to show poise and control and whilst others saw a woman that was docile, he saw her inner strength, she would be no one’s door mat and she would be treated with respect.
This was an intense read that I found myself totally captivated by and I know that other readers will enjoy this book as much as I have and will look forward to future books by this wonderful author.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

The story is darker, has potential triggers, and a lot of sizzling hot sexiness. This is an arranged marriage, Mafia, family, alliances, sort of enemies to a whole lot more romance between Carmela Bianchi and Silvo De Luca. The marriage has been arranged by her brother, Gio, who is now the head of the family since their parents died. Carmela is not happy about this and is going to fight it all the way. This is the 1st story in the Beautiful Gods Series where we have Carmella in an arranged marriage by her brother who runs their family for strength and alliance. That night she finds herself in a local LA night club and has an interesting night with a stranger only to learn the next day it’s her to be husband and he knew who she was. Silvo is a man that gives off a dangerous energy and power and after they marry they head back to Philly. Carmella is greeted with open arms from his family and she finds herself enjoying Silvo’s family. When an old and present conflict between them and another family threatens their livelihood and lives does a traitor become known. Carmella uncovers the history behind the feud and comes up with a plan for both families to come together to deal with a common enemy. Silvo and Carmella find themselves at odds only to ultimately find common ground and much more between them. This is a love story with some mafia action thrown in. Carmella decides she needs to find out why the Moretti's are targeting the family. She finds herself falling for Silvo and is concerned for his safety. There is a surprising revelation about true culprit who is targeting both families.
I enjoyed this story with the complex plot, wonderful characters, and a HEA ending.

When Carmela settles in to live in Philadelphia, she seems to find her groove with Silvo’s family that helps with the war against them from a rival family by discovering the secret of how it started. Carmella is told she’s being married off to a mafia family in Philadelphia to make the family stronger. Understandably, she’s not happy. She goes out for a night of fun and meets a “stranger”, who just happens to be her newly arranged husband.
Silvo knows who she is and proceeds with spending the night as “strangers” anyway. To say the wedding day was a surprise for Carmella is an understatement.
The book is a sweet, slow burn, learning to love, and navigating new family dynamics all in one. A mafia war with the rival family, a traitor in the organization, and you have a mafia romance.

I was glued to this story from the minute Carmella & Silvo met at the club with their steamy night & her reaction when the next time she saw him shes was being told that she'd been arranged to be married to him.
This didnt go down very well leading us on a enemies to lovers path involving a lot of steam as even though shevhated him there was a pull to him she couldn't stop.
Being part of a the De Luca mafia family saw her being caught up in rival revenge attacks & it makes them both realise how they actually feel about each other.
There's danger, pain, secrets , betrayal, revenge together with new friends & families.
Once you start reading this you won't want to put it down.

They fall in love but are soon disrupted with the threat of the Russian mob trying to destroy them and another family.
This kinda ends on a cliffhanger because they dont know what the Russians want or who's leaking info but they do find out that they are pregnant. This was just ok but Joe Arden is magnificent 👌🏾.

Book one of "Beautiful Gods". Carmela Bianchi is furious. Her brother has announced that he has arranged a strategic marriage for her and that she has no choice. In defiance, Carmela heads to a club with her best friend where she hooks up with an intense stranger. When she goes to meet her brother, the next day, he introduces her to her proposed husband, Silvo De Luca, who just so happens to be the man from the club. Knowing that Silvo knew all along who he was bedding, only causes more resentment. But the chemistry is off the charts so maybe this marriage isn't all bad, unless they kill each other first.

Carmella wasn't too thrilled about being married off to strengthen the family's alliance. When she goes out to blow off steam with her nest friend she comes across a man that captivates her not knowing that he is her future husband. It starts their connection and a connection it is because Carmella is not one to go with the flow of things when it comes to what a docility. She gives as good as she gets and when they lock horns the passion rises. This book kept me glued to the pages and all caught up in the power play.

From the start you are pulled in. This one full on intense book, with amazing characters, the tension and the pull of power is from the start. Two crime families, a marriage to bring them together. I loved how Silvio and Carmela had unknown met before and had one hot steam night. The steam carry’s on into the marriage and both let the other show who they both are and grow.

Twisted Vows is an absolute firecracker! Silvo De Luca is the epitome of a possessive, obsessive alpha, and I adored how he embraced Carmella for who she is, flaws and all. Their love story is a passionate whirlwind, and though Carmella's initial resistance was understandable, I was thrilled with their eventual resolution. The chemistry between Maximo Morretti and Isabella is off the charts, and I can't wait to dive into their story.

I love how Carmella doesn't go down without a fight. Women in the mafia world are nothing but disposable pawns or so the men like you to think. Silvo think she's just another spoiled brat mafia princess & oh boy is he wrong! The first meeting is definitely well different & let's just say Carmella isn't to pleased when she finds out. I love how she doesn't give up or give in. He's faced with a very hard decision & must figure out what he really wants. And let's be honest ladies we all know the ladies truly run the mafia!

We're back in the Beautiful God's world with Twisted Vows. This one is Silvo and Carmela's arranged marriage read and it's completely consuming. These characters and their journey is absolutely fantastic! Carmela is a tough cookie and I think from the very start Silvo loves that she's no shrinking violet. Their journey is intense, dramatic and intriguing with enough chaos, danger, twists, turns and surprises to keep completely glued to the pages!

To quickly summarize. I really had a problem with this book. I somehow couldn't put it down and everything around me went to hell. Hellish 🥵🌶️
All the characters were very likeable, Carmela was angry for a while but then she finally saw what she needed to see. Silvo, simply "lover of my heart".
A very good read that I really enjoyed during this rainy season and with some free time. I would like the next part?!

Carmela just wanted to spend an evening out before her marriage, letting off steam. Discovering her ONS was her future husband Silvo though? She's a little miffed by that. A steamy romance with a mafia family, drama, they both fall hard, growing possession and obsession, secrets and much more. A fab read at the start of this new series.
