Traded like a poker chip by my own brother. One minute I'm living it up in LA, the next I’m shipped across the country and married to Silvo De Luca—the most dangerous and infuriatingly handsome mafia boss in Philadelphia.
Okay, so maybe I slept with him before I knew who he was. And maybe the sex was mind-blowing. But that doesn’t mean I’m thrilled about being forced into this marriage.
Silvo is arrogant, possessive, with a jealous streak as wide as the Mississippi. He’s also irresistibly sexy with those piercing blue eyes and tattoos that make me weak in the knees. When he touches me, I forget every reason to hate him.
But this isn’t a fairy tale. It’s a game of power between crime families, and I refuse to be just a pawn. If Silvo thinks I’ll be a docile mafia wife arranging flowers, he’s in for a rude awakening. I might be trapped in this marriage, but I’m nobody’s doormat.
With heated arguments that turn into steamy nights, dangerous family rivals, and secrets that could get us both killed, our twisted vows are becoming something neither of us expected.
They say keep your friends close and your enemies closer. But what happens when you can’t tell if your husband is one or the other?
Twisted Vows is a dark arranged marriage mafia romance and the first book in the Beautiful Gods Series. This dark mafia romance explores themes that may be disturbing to some readers. However, there is no cliffhanger, and the happily-ever-after ending means this book can be read as a standalone.
I love Bianca Cole books!! This is a dark arranged marriage mafia romance. Carmella is traded to Silvo De Luca by her brother. Without realizing who he was Carmella slept with Silvo after a night out with her friend. This is full of heat, angst, suspense and lots of action. Looking forward to the next book in this series!!
Betrayed by her brother Carmela is forced into marraige with Silvo and what is instant is the red hot chemistry between them. Both strong characters will engage each other a they navigate mafia rivals, danger, desire and truth.
Captivating read, arranged marriage and a possessive read that had me totally riveted innits pages She had been traded as though she had no more value than a poker chip, the amount had been run up by her stepbrother and without any warning he had her up rooted from her home and sent across country to Philadelphia where she was expected to marry Silvo De Luca. She has actually slept with him prior to her actually knowing who he was and then after a night that had completely rocked her world she has been surprised by the agreed contract where she was going to marry Silvo De Luca a very dangerous and handsome mafia boss. This is a story of tension and power where the power between the crime families showed how intense this world actually was, and as his wife it was necessary for her to show poise and control and whilst others saw a woman that was docile, he saw her inner strength, she would be no one’s door mat and she would be treated with respect. This was an intense read that I found myself totally captivated by and I know that other readers will enjoy this book as much as I have and will look forward to future books by this wonderful author. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Twisted Vows is the first book in the Beautiful Gods series by Bianca Cole. This book is a fantastic roller-coaster ride so you better strap in tight and hold on with all you have...otherwise you just may be thrown far. The story is darker, has potential triggers, and a lot of sizzling hot sexiness. This is an arranged marriage, Mafia, family, alliances, sort of enemies to a whole lot more romance between Carmela Bianchi and Silvo De Luca. The marriage has been arranged by her brother, Gio, who is now the head of the family since their parents died. Carmela is not happy about this and is going to fight it all the way. But family duty and tradition are to be followed. She is the sacrificial lamb for Gio's seat at the table, for power, money and respect. Silvo is the head of the De Luca family in Philadelphia. He is powerful, rich, ruthless, and also "sex on a stick". Silvo is expecting a younger woman who will do what is expected and follow whatever he says. But that is not Carmela and this intrigues him, along with getting his attention. As they battle each other feelings turn to more and that can be dangerous by itself.
Carmella learns she is to be married off to the De luca’s in Philadelphia - it’s to strengthen their family alliance. She calls her best friend Sophia because she needs a night out. When she’s ordering her drink, she sees the best looking man she’s ever seen before. She doesn’t know that’s Silvo De Luca, the man she is to marry. Silvo doesn’t know who she is until she gives him her name. He thinks she’s beautiful - he was drawn to her before he even knew her name. Needless to say the next morning when he comes to her family home to be introduced, she is ticked off. She feels like she was played the night before. I love this book so much. I loved watching them fall in love and become a team protecting one another. Carmella became an asset to the De Luca family. Even though it was an arranged marriage, they feel deeply madly hopelessly in love with one another. There are side characters in this book I really hope Bianca tells their stories like Isabella and Maximo man that would be a hot book. The other couple are Nico and Adele. That’s gonna be one wild story. I just know it.

Despite being an arranged marriage, the heart wants what the heart wants! I fell in love with Carmela as she takes being pissed off at her brother, the don to a whole new level by a ladies night out that goes a whole lot further than even she imagined. I love how Silvo plays the night knowing who Carmela is but keeping it to himself. When Carmela meets her arranged fiance, she is beside herself with fury that Silvo knew and didn’t tell her. But there is something about their chemistry that keeps the flames alive with passion that won’t be denied. When Carmela settles in to live in Philadelphia, she seems to find her groove with Silvo’s family that helps with the war against them from a rival family by discovering the secret of how it started. Though while Silvo discovers the ploy behind the attacks, can the two rival families work together? You have to read to find out and don’t expect to put this book down until you turn the last page!
Twisted Vows is the first story in the Beautiful Gods series. It is well-written and suspenseful.
Carmella is angry that her brother has arranged a marriage for her. He runs the family and arranged the marriage so that he can gain strength for the family. She decides to go to a night club and meets a handsome stranger. The next day she meets her soon to be husband, Silvo. He was the stranger she met and knew who she was when they met at the club. Silvo takes her to his home. His family immediately loves her and makes her feel welcomed. The family is attacked by their rival and Carmella wants to help.
I loved the immediate chemistry between Carmella and Silvo. I loved how Carmella was such a great asset to Silvo and his family when the family was facing trouble from the rival family. This was an amazing story and I look forward to more.

Carmella is told she’s being married off to a mafia family in Philadelphia to make the family stronger. Understandably, she’s not happy. She goes out for a night of fun and meets a “stranger”, who just happens to be her newly arranged husband.
Silvo knows who she is and proceeds with spending the night as “strangers” anyway. To say the wedding day was a surprise for Carmella is an understatement.
The book is a sweet, slow burn, learning to love, and navigating new family dynamics all in one. A mafia war with the rival family, a traitor in the organization, and you have a mafia romance.
The end is a bit of a cliffhanger; the conflict between the two families isn’t wrapped up in a neat bow, but the couple does have a happy ending.

Book one of "Beautiful Gods". Carmela Bianchi is furious. Her brother has announced that he has arranged a strategic marriage for her and that she has no choice. In defiance, Carmela heads to a club with her best friend where she hooks up with an intense stranger. When she goes to meet her brother, the next day, he introduces her to her proposed husband, Silvo De Luca, who just so happens to be the man from the club. Knowing that Silvo knew all along who he was bedding, only causes more resentment. But the chemistry is off the charts so maybe this marriage isn't all bad, unless they kill each other first.
Carmella wasn't too thrilled about being married off to strengthen the family's alliance. When she goes out to blow off steam with her nest friend she comes across a man that captivates her not knowing that he is her future husband. It starts their connection and a connection it is because Carmella is not one to go with the flow of things when it comes to what a docility. She gives as good as she gets and when they lock horns the passion rises. This book kept me glued to the pages and all caught up in the power play.

From the very first page, this story plunges the reader into a high-stakes world where power struggles and shifting alliances create constant unrest. At its core lies the volatile connection between Silvio and Carmela, whose arranged marriage is designed to broker a vital alliance. As the story intensifies, their relationship evolves into an emotional journey, forcing them both to drop their guards and find strength in one another. It’s a blend of violence, drama and sensual tension—the strongest bonds are often the most unexpected.

Carmela is enraged when her brother tells her it is time to do what is expected of her and marry. A night on the town with her friend leads to an expected encounter with her future husband. Silvio knew who is partner was that night but decided not to say anything, beside the chemistry was definitely there. Once his deception comes to light Carmela enters their marriage with even more animosity, but that soon takes a back seat as deception, rival families and chemistry start to take over.

Well written the story and characters draw you in with steamy desires drama action and more
Twisted Vows is an absolute firecracker! Silvo De Luca is the epitome of a possessive, obsessive alpha, and I adored how he embraced Carmella for who she is, flaws and all. Their love story is a passionate whirlwind, and though Carmella's initial resistance was understandable, I was thrilled with their eventual resolution. The chemistry between Maximo Morretti and Isabella is off the charts, and I can't wait to dive into their story.

I loved Carmela and Silvio’s story… Carmela Bianchi’s brother arranged for her to marry Mafia Boss Silvo De Luca without her knowledge. Even though Carmela feels blindsided and resentful by the arrangement, she assumes her position in the family and brings her strength and determination with her, quickly proving she’s not just a pretty face… I received a free copy of this book. We're back in the Beautiful God's world with Twisted Vows. This one is Silvo and Carmela's arranged marriage read and it's completely consuming. These characters and their journey is absolutely fantastic! Carmela is a tough cookie and I think from the very start Silvo loves that she's no shrinking violet. Their journey is intense, dramatic and intriguing with enough chaos, danger, twists, turns and surprises to keep completely glued to the pages!
When a one night fling leads to Carmela meeting the same guy who is her contract husband to be - Silvio - she is so angry at the deception- he knew all along who she was … …
I could definitely relate to Carmela feeling angry and deceived … but these two their chemistry is so intense loved that they work things out!

To quickly summarize. I really had a problem with this book. I somehow couldn't put it down and everything around me went to hell. Hellish 🥵🌶️
All the characters were very likeable, Carmela was angry for a while but then she finally saw what she needed to see. Silvo, simply "lover of my heart".
A very good read that I really enjoyed during this rainy season and with some free time. I would like the next part?!
An arranged marriage needed to cement an alliance between the Bianchis and the De Lucas. They would do anything to for their family. Will the bride and groom make it down the aisle? This is a great book with exceptional characters.

It devoured me with the amazing plot and characters. I was so invested. There was no putting this down. I couldn’t get enough of Silvio and Carmella. These two were fire. The push and pull between them. So dark and delicious. An amazing read.

Force of Nature Both Silvo and Carmela think the other is a force of nature. Volatile, passionate, tempestuous, sizzling hot. Their marriage was arranged but what they feel for each other is not. It’s everything!
The author has given us a heart pounding story that pulls us into the lives of Carmella and Silvo. The darker story keeps us turning the pages with a forced marriage, secrets, suspense, connection and steam.
