Wild-Angle Lens #1

Some Wolf Old

Rate this book
Some wolf old... Some wolf new... Some wolf borrowed... Some wolf blue...
Saving a wolf's life was just part of the job for Robyn, a curvy veterinary intern. It was only when the animal was out of danger that Robyn felt its eyes lingering on her. "Wolfy" was no ordinary animal, and the werewolf in hiding wanted more than medical attention from the innocent young woman!

Set at Robyn's luxurious beach wedding, Some Wolf Old is told in a unique style by both the bride and her wedding photographer.

Like every novella in the Wild-Angle Lens series, this sweet and sexy story stands on its own. Each couple gets a "happily ever after" - no cliffhangers!

Title: SOME WOLF OLD
Series: Wild-Angle Lens #1
Category /Genre: Paranormal Romance
Recommended for: 18+ due to sexual content
Received from: Ruby Glass (in exchange for an honest review)
Grammar/editing: ungraded – book received as an unedited ARC / errors excused

This is the first book in the Wild-Angle Lens series. There is no cliff-hanger, but I would still recommend reading them in order.

Talya is a photographer hired to capture the memories during a beautiful beach wedding. Before the ceremony, she is spending time with the bride taking the preparation photos. To get her to relax and provide the right glow in the pictures, she asks Robyn Ellis, the bride, to think about how she met her groom, Hector. The story that Robyn shares is funny, romantic, and holds quite a surprise!

Instead of the usual groom-bride-groom-bride point of view, this story is told from the bride and her photographer. This unique style works perfectly and I smiled the whole way through this romantic read, with a touch of intrigue.

My favorite way to spend a day off of work starts with staying in bed and reading for enjoyment. This is the book that I chose to read on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. It holds its own magic between the pages as much as the holiday season. I can only say, “more, more, more.” I am ready to continue this series to see what may come next.

This is the first book that I have read from Ruby Glass and I am quite thankful to say that it will definitely not be my last. I have been invited to be a part of her ARC team. Watch for the continuation of the Wild-Angle Lens series, coming soon.

~~~~ Received from Author for a honest review~~
Id rate this between 3 and 3.5 stars.
I do love new authors to me, thank you Ms Glass for the opportunity to read you work. The story biggest point of interest for me is the “story” telling. As many shifters stories I've read, I think that was a first. A bride telling how her and her man met, on the actualy day of her wedding. Yep break out hella cool.
A vet and a lawyer.. who would have thought. Smiles. Robyn is ready to marry Hector... as she waits and the photographer is taking her pictures. She was asked about how she met her love Hector. A wolf was brought in seriously injured and the injury wasn't a accident. Someone actually tried to kill the wolf and that had the Vet bristling with indignation and anger. Robyn had always loved animals and has no concept why anyone would hurt any animal. Soo Robyn fixes up the wolf even when the doctor told her he a dangerous animal.
I'd have to say this book was ok.. not a lot of heat or passion for me.. it took me way too long to get into it. Just didnt seem like a lot of fire or chemistry, this of course is only my humble opinion. It read fine and flowed well it was even at a decent length.
Decent shapeshifter story, easy read, interesting mix of POV styles
I can appreciate the overall approach the author took in the storyline . The romance seems somewhat typical overall and its approach to several other shapeshifter books . What makes this book unique is that it's told from the point of view mixture of both first-person present and past tense. Also it was interesting to note that one of the main characters in the book actually is not involved in the romance at all but is rather the recipient of the story being told and will continue on with in the series as the photographer . I do not remember any glaring mistakes as far as grammar or spelling is concerned, which is unusual these days and a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the book overall and would read another book by Ms. Glass. The book however does in my mind rate and average score of 3 out of 5. I would summarize the book as a pleasant distraction, good storyline, author has produced a well crafted world but there is nothing outstanding in the series at least that would make me dying for the next book. In other words, since I am the Kindle Unlimited person I might read the book or I might not depends on my mood.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Ruby Glass. This novella is from the Wild-Angle Lens series by the author.
Talya is hired to take photos of Robyn and Hector's wedding but she also gets the "how we met" story of the happy couple. Robyn is a vet and an injured wolf is brought into the clinic. Because the wolf was in such bad shape he was at the clinic a long time and Robyn was able to help him recover.
I was totally lost in this book. It grabbed me in the first part and held on till the end. The characters were written very well and had great interaction with the other in the story.
This is for any paranormal romance book lover and this book would be a very good addition to any library.
Great Novella!
This is the first book in the Wild-Angle Lens Series by Ruby Glass. This novella is told in the bride’s point of view while she is getting ready for her wedding. Robyn the bride tells Tayla the photographer the story of how he met her groom, Hector. Robyn is a veterinary intern that felt eyes on her while caring for the wolf who was brought in and she treated. Little did she know that the wolf was a wolf shifter named Hector. This is a great love story with some paranormal, I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.
Very cute short story
This was a unique way of doing this story. The story is not over detailed but enough for you to connect to the character. I did want more details and depth. It is written from the bride's view and her recounting how she me her soon to be husband to her photographer Talya.
Overview. Robbins a student vet. While doing a nightshift, an injured wolf comes in. She fixes his throat and saves his life. While checking on him daily, she builds a bond with him. She calls him wolfy, but later finds out its Hector and he is a shifter. Their love grows fast. Kristy Dean
This is a unique story of Talya a photographer that learns how couples have met and fell in love while she takes their pictures. Robyn a Veterinary Intern and Hector a Criminal Lawyer/Wolf meet when he is injured by an old client who was tying to kill him. I liked how the story was told by two POV's - Talya's and Robyn's. It made for an interesting twist. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Hector and Robyn. It was a good 1st book of the series and I look forward to reading more in the series.
I received this book as an ARC from Ms. Glass. Thank you for allowing me to ARC for you Ms. Glass
Finding love in the strangest places
This is a wonderful self-contained story about a Photographer names Talya who take awesome pictures and get to hear how couples meet. In this story it’s about Robyn a Veterinary Intern and Hector a Criminal Lawyer/Wolf. And an old client of Hectors that tried to kill him. While recovering as a wolf from the injuries Hector/Wolfy meets Robyn and starts to fall for her. But that’s just the beginning of this well written tale.
Very entertaining, great read.
This was a good werewolf romance with good strong characters. I really enjoyed the view point with the writing, it was much different then the standard story telling;it was a on-going conversation that just progressed so well. I would definitely recommend this series, it's more than your standard werewolf romance, and the characters seem so much more down to earth, there's plenty of drama, danger and mystery.
I love they way this book was written - as a story from the bride's point of view to her wedding photographer. This will allow multiple stories with the same character (photographer) but have a fresh storyline each time.
In this book, Robyn tells Talya how she met and fell in love with Hector. There's love, yearning, betrayal, and friendship all rolled it.
A very compelling story. This is the first book I have read of Ruby Glass and I enjoyed to the story line. Robyn tells her story in her own words and when she talks about Hector you can picture what he looks like. I can't wait to read her next book.
Cool Story
This story was a little different. Very intriguing and I liked that there were more restrictions on the nature of the werewolf.
Great first story.
One Word??? Blah! This is nothing but one person telling her story to another. The emotions and sexual situation was flat. I won't be reading more.
