It’s my job to play music, to make girls wet, and then to screw a select few of them. I’m a professional rocker. I’m rich, I’m famous, I’m one lucky son-of-a-bitch. I have everything - except control.
The industry owns me. And the only thing I have a minuscule grain of control with is women, but not that dominate, tie you up and gag you kind of control. No, I want to govern how I make them feel. Some books are just not worth the energy of a review. SG Ladies...avoid, avoid, avoid. The H is so not redeemable on any level. He fucks OW purposefully to hurt the h...pretty much in her face on a nightly basis. And has no real remorse. The only reason anyone would be with the H is for what he could give them or do for them....seriously. There's even an AIDS scare cuz he doesn't wrap up every time :/

This is my first book by Stevie j.cole and my second rock star read this year. Well, it is an okay read.
Rush is the manwhore,sex crazed bassist for a band called Pandemic Sorrow. He enjoys women ( a lot) , booze and drugs. He swears a lot, curse a lot, got no shame and no filter. Rush was addicted to sex. He uses women to get through his own demon and although most of the women practically throw themselves to him, he is an epic man-whore. And there is a reason for that and that reason is because of a woman. The one woman that he truly love, crave, and obsess about for 6 years. But he can’t have her. So the only way to get her is to hurt her by screwing anything that moves just to numb the feelings that he have towards his manager, Jules.
So, I kinda like the story but there are times that I feel like I’m so exhausted while reading this because I’m tired of Rush’s antics. Add to that, Jules the heroin kinda piss me off. She was okay at first, but when the she started to act like a bitch, become so selfish and she doesn’t even there when Rush needs her the most. I hate her character from that point on up until the end of the book.
Another thing that I don’t like in this book is, I have a huge problem about the characters. The author didn’t describe much about the main characters physically.Rush, I don’t know what hair color does he have, the color of his eyes, how tall is he and things like that. I don’t even know if he have a tattoo or not, but assuming that Rush is a rock star he probably have it. And Jules, the only thing that the author describe about her is how pretty she was and she have a short hair. These details, doesn’t give me much of an imagination so it’s really hard to visualize the characters.
I won’t say that this is an overly romantic kinda story, because when I think about it the romance between the main characters were only moderately executed. The story evolves more about Rush of how he cope with his own demon, his addiction, his relationship with his band mates, his manager and his feelings. The sex scene sure is hot, but I would like to see more romance between the MC but I didn’t get that. It really disappoints me.
Probably the most possible way, to get you an insight of how really this story goes and kinda sum up the whole book at its best is this line below:

'Sex is just part of life; it’s an ingrained physical need that you don’t have to understand. Love-that’s what people should be saving. Love is what can rip you to pieces, or make you complete. It’s what connects you on a whole new level to a person, not sex.’
We first met Rush, the dirty mouthed, sex crazed bassist for Pandemic Sorrow in Jag. On the surface he came across as a bit dense though gifted musically, possessing a sexual prowess that left us exhausted and needing a cigarette!! He’s a demon between the sheets and is only too happy to share the love! Rush has no filter and no shame! He’s out to enjoy the trappings of Rock and Roll anyway he can. Women, booze and drugs, it’s all on offer and he’s not one to knock it back.
‘Was I a whore? Yes. Did I use more drugs than the Mexican cartel? Probably.’
Told through Rush’s voice and covering the same timelines as Jag, this was a funny, sexy, uncomfortable and crazy read and one where we really came to know Rush on a whole new level and we loved him. There is a lot more to this guy than we originally presumed. Following the same timeline allowed us to experience how the other band members coped during the tumultuous events of Jag and it was enlightening.
‘I was still the same guy I’d always been. Loud, annoying, and uncertain about most things. I was just a fucking person. I bled, I cried, I got sick, and rejection feels the same whether you’re a rock star or a clerk at a Chevron.’
Rush (the story) explores the love/hate relationship between Jules and Rush. Jules is employed by the record label to keep these boys in check and boy does she have her work cut out for her with these guys! It’s as though they’ve pressed the self-destruct button and Jules can only sit back and wait for it to detonate.
‘She hurt me, I needed to hurt her.’
Jules has known Rush for six years and in that time she has seen him bed a bevy of women. Jules feels a disgust towards Rush for his wild ways but can’t help the attraction she feels towards him.
‘The passion I felt for her made me forget that I was even famous.’
But Jules is off limits due to the no fraternizing with employees rule set out by the record company, but that only serves to make Rush even more eager to get between her thighs! They do share a heated session, which leaves Rush wanting more and Jules wanting to forget! And that folks is where the game of cat and mouse begins!
“Don’t take this the wrong way, Rush, but you’re disgusting.”
Whereby Jag’s story was gritty, raw and unrelenting, Rush’s is more on the humorous side though there was no shortage of emotion in this story and we have to say we actually teared up at the end. Is there really a heart of gold underneath that unfiltered exterior? You’ll have to find out for yourselves!
“I want a reason to be done with my past.”
The early banter between Rush and Jules was priceless and was something we enjoyed immensely. There was an early scene that was so vividly and humorously told it had us giggling down the phone lines like crazy when we were discussing it. Stevie J Cole, you have QUITE the imagination.
If you had asked us to relay our feeling about the story and on Jules’s character halfway through the book, we would have waxed lyrical about what a fantastic heroine she was, how she was gutsy, witty and how we admired her for the way she kept Rush in check. She was so well written and we adored her. The story was moving in a believable and entertaining direction and we were invested up until a certain point.
Then…something happened. The story took a different tack and it was as though Jules became a whole other character and it gutted us. The girl we had come to love started to come across as selfish and uncaring woman and dare we say, she became a somewhat heartless bitch – so different to the Jules in the first half of the story, it had us scratching our heads. Her actions caused us great sadness and there was no coming back after a certain turn of events.
From that point on we ceased to believe in Jules and we no longer believed or felt their relationship had any validity in all aspects of love from her side. There was a void in their relationship we couldn’t move on from and it saddened us greatly because we were invested and enjoying the story up until that point.
We were unsure what this particular storyline was meant to make us feel. If it was to have us believe their relationship was solid because of this, sadly it failed in our eyes and only made us feel as though this couple wouldn’t withstand any difficulties thrust in their path from Jules perspective.
‘The only difference when it came to me and Jag and drugs was that his was an addiction, mine was a habit.’
There were certainly parts of this story we loved and early on we were certain it was going to be another 4.5/5.0 star read, however, we’re sad to say the events that unfolded disconnected us from the story and from Jules and Rush as a couple. Our feelings for Rush never altered. We loved him. This guy would have us laughing one minute, wanting to slap him stupid and then hug him the next. He could certainly be infuriating, but he had a heart of gold that always won us over.
There’s no doubt about it, Stevie J Cole writes a kick arse male POV! She’s does it brilliantly. We did like this installment, but sadly we didn’t love it.

Stevie J Cole writes THE best rock stars!
The guys of Pandemic Sorrow are gross disgusting dirty whores, and I LOVE THEM!!! Only Stevie can make you fall in love with a total and utter douche bag. I swear Stevie was a manwhore in her previous life, or she’s hiding a penis underneath her skirt because she nails the crude and uncensored male rocker POV.
Did you know there was a rock star code of conduct???? Well, there is:
Rush has no problem following the rocker code of conduct, but he also has no problem breaking it either. If you thought Jag’s addiction was bad and got him into trouble, just wait until you see the kind of pandemonium Rush causes. You’ll love Rush one minute and want to rip his balls off the next. Being a rock star isn’t easy. And, being a rock star in love is damn near impossible. The ride Rush takes you on is hella crazy and downright kinky. And, I loved every single dirty minute of it.
I live for rock star books. I don’t want the watered down version. I want the raw, stripped down, and real version. Steve J Cole more than delivers. Just like Jag, Rush is raw and emotional. It’s real and brilliantly written. But I do have a love/hate relationship with this series. I love the piss out of it, but at the same time any book in this series is a guaranteed book hangover. I know I’ll be dragging for the next few days now.
The Pandemic Sorrow Series is a MUST MUST MUST read for any hardcore rock star fans! You’ll be hard pressed to find something that even has the balls to step into the arena with Pandemic Sorrow.

There are some things that are just known…like rituals of life that take place…no rhyme or reason you can take them for granted and just go through the motions…those things. Like the fact that Stevie J. Cole can write…not just write but connect you to douchebags that you wonder how you fell in love with…at the end you are swooning and cheering on drug addicted, womanizing ass munches because…well because she intertwines them into your heart and you just accept it none the wiser.
That is what happened not only with Jag but with Rush…my personal favorite. You meet him winding down from a romp, but this romp is different…this one he likes, wants more with, but she is the one girl that just can’t be that simple. Watching these two not only grow and mature, but being able to see past the façade of fame and look straight into the heart of a man, through the love of a good woman. I loved it…from the crazy ass backstage antics to the stolen looks, the meant to be’s were just waiting for the right time to just be.
Reality looks different on stage in front of thousands and is really a far cry when you move backstage. But when you see who you want to be staring back at you…the lifestyle that once held so much seems hollow, following this journey of growth was amazing…and really who doesn’t love a self absorbed rock-star? Love em’

I absolutely love rock star books. Rush can be read as a standalone but now I plan to read the author’s debut book, Jag, after Cathy raved about it. Rush is gritty, sexy, rough and does not paint such a glamorous picture of the rock star life.
Rush and Jules, the manager for his band Pandemic Sorrow’, clearly have an attraction to each other. But Rush can’t stay away from almost every girl he comes in contact with. If he isn’t a sex addict, I don’t know who is! Jules is there for every show and sees the fans throwing themselves at Rush. He makes no apologies for his sexual appetite but definitely wants to be a better man for Jules.
If you like sexy, graphic, rock star books, with a little humor thrown in, then Rush is for you. There is some drug use here but the author doesn’t sugar-coat any of the downsides to living the rock-and-roll lifestyle. I really liked Rush’s POV and I loved seeing the other members of the band. Re-Release!
I read this series back to back so full disclosure, this review is going to be combined for all three books. I will say this, it's been fun going on a ride with these guys and the entire time I kept thinking that I wanted a book for Stone. So when I got the release blitz info and saw that he was getting his own book, I might have squealed a little.
Jag is the first book in the series and it focuses on the lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow. He's a know womanizer and has a serious drug problem, which he doesn't own up to. Despite being in rehab once already. Let's say this, his story isn't pretty. Ultimately, Jag is broken and plays a persona to fit his rocker lifestyle that is expected of him but you can tell that he just wants to be loved and have something to love back. What I loved about this book is that his addiction is one of the biggest topics and Stevie holds nothing back. She really paints the picture of just how hard and overwhelming addiction can be and how it not only affects the person but those around them. When he meets, Roxy, he quickly discovers that he wants a normal relationship and he just wants to love. Roxy is perfect for him. She's broken herself but she's so strong and she doesn't take any crap from him. He really has to face some difficult situations to figure everything out.
Rush is the second book in the series and it focuses on the bassist. If I thought Jag was brash, Rush is in his own dimension. He's pretty filthy and I think he might be more of a womanizer than Jag. Yet he's had his eye on Jules, the band's assistant for years. While the two of them work out their feelings for each other, we get one dirty, filthy and crude Rush who pretty much will have sex with any woman. What I liked most about this book is the banter between Rush and Jules. She's offended by him but at the same time she can't help her attraction to him. They have a love/hate relationship that seriously had me laughing. I think Jules might be one of my favorite characters in this series. She's so hard core yet sensitive at the same time. She sure puts up with a lot of crap from all the guys and they love to rile her up. All of that is just fun.
Roxy is the third book in the series and it focuses on Jag's love. I'll be upfront and honest with you. A lot of this book is re-telling her history with Jag but from her point of view. I will admit that I did skim over some of those parts but it is to no fault of the writing or even the story. I actually think the author did a great just of making sure to add in more emotions and feels with Roxy's side so it didn't turn out a complete retelling of what happened in Jag. What we do get is Roxy's background and get a better idea of just how broken she is. Her story is raw, gritty and down right sad. From the first page, I was consumed with wanting to really get to know her and we are hit with some seriously messed up things that she endured as a child. I like that nothing was help back and it showed just how raw and emotional it is. Also, without giving away anything, the last 10% of the book really sheds light on how living with an addiction can be and I love that the author added it. It makes it more real.
Overall, I enjoyed reading this series. It was fun at times and emotionally raw a lot of times. It makes you think and it makes you feel. I enjoyed the band as a whole and have enjoyed getting each of their stories. I can't wait to get my hand on Stone's book!

I read this series back to back so full disclosure, this review is going to be combined for all three books. I will say this, it's been fun going on a ride with these guys and the entire time I kept thinking that I wanted a book for Stone. So when I got the release blitz info and saw that he was getting his own book, I might have squealed a little.
Jag is the first book in the series and it focuses on the lead singer of Pandemic Sorrow. He's a know womanizer and has a serious drug problem, which he doesn't own up to. Despite being in rehab once already. Let's say this, his story isn't pretty. Ultimately, Jag is broken and plays a persona to fit his rocker lifestyle that is expected of him but you can tell that he just wants to be loved and have something to love back. What I loved about this book is that his addiction is one of the biggest topics and Stevie holds nothing back. She really paints the picture of just how hard and overwhelming addiction can be and how it not only affects the person but those around them. When he meets, Roxy, he quickly discovers that he wants a normal relationship and he just wants to love. Roxy is perfect for him. She's broken herself but she's so strong and she doesn't take any crap from him. He really has to face some difficult situations to figure everything out.
Rush is the second book in the series and it focuses on the bassist. If I thought Jag was brash, Rush is in his own dimension. He's pretty filthy and I think he might be more of a womanizer than Jag. Yet he's had his eye on Jules, the band's assistant for years. While the two of them work out their feelings for each other, we get one dirty, filthy and crude Rush who pretty much will have sex with any woman. What I liked most about this book is the banter between Rush and Jules. She's offended by him but at the same time she can't help her attraction to him. They have a love/hate relationship that seriously had me laughing. I think Jules might be one of my favorite characters in this series. She's so hard core yet sensitive at the same time. She sure puts up with a lot of crap from all the guys and they love to rile her up. All of that is just fun.
Roxy is the third book in the series and it focuses on Jag's love. I'll be upfront and honest with you. A lot of this book is re-telling her history with Jag but from her point of view. I will admit that I did skim over some of those parts but it is to no fault of the writing or even the story. I first met Rush when I read Jag so I was prepared for his dirty mouth and his man whoring self. Seriously I have never met a man who had sex like this man. I felt like I needed sex addiction therapy for him. I am not kidding this man is the face beside sex addict in the dictionary actually scratch that the whole band is sex whores. TRUTH! I seriously am having trouble talking about this book because all I can think about is SEX. I am not lying this is a porno in book form. Yep I just read Porn that is the only thing I can call this. ROCK AND ROLL PORN but there is a story, I promise there is a story.
“Sex is just part of life; it’s an ingrained physical need that you don’t have to understand. Love-that’s what people should be saving. Love is what can rip you to pieces, or make you complete. It’s what connects you on a whole new level to a person, not sex.”
This book is told completely from Rush’s POV and is completely the same timeline as Jag. Rush is everything I think when thinking about rock stars, he has no filter, he has a filthy mouth, a drug problem. He is every mothers worst nightmare for their daughter and he sets off every warning bell you have in your body. HOWEVER sometimes first impressions can be wrong and when you look a little bit longer you find out there is more there.
“I was still the same guy I’d always been. Loud, annoying, and uncertain about most things. I was just a fucking person. I bled, I cried, I got sick, and rejection feels the same whether you’re a rock star or a clerk at a Chevron.”
Jules is employed by the record label and is the manager hired to keep Pandemic Sorrow in line. I don’t think I could do her job, between the suck and F***s and the other things these boys do her I would have killed someone but she does it and she does it well. Jules has been with Rush for six years so to say she has seen it all is being nice. He made her sick, he made me sick and well I wanted his dick to fall off. But as I said there is something about this man that makes you say hmm and that is what happened Jules couldn’t help her attraction to him.
“It’s an ego thing, self-esteem thing, and with Jules, it was something a hell of a lot deeper than that too.”
However the record label has a no fraternizing rule and Jules is pretty strict about following it, Rush not so much. He wants what he wants and he manages to get it one time. That one time is engrained in Rush and is a memory he wants to play on constant repeat. But for Jules it is a memory she wants to burn. And so the game begins…
“Stop being so cold. You f***ing want me, I want you…get over yourself and let me treat you like I’m supposed to treat a girl. This game’s getting old, Jules.”
I enjoyed the banter between these two and I found myself really believing this friendship. But then this book took a turn that made me say WTF!! Jules changed, the story changed and I was all this is the most unbelievable rock star story I have ever read. Jules did something that made me almost hate her. I was pissed and in all honesty other things started happening and I was all what in the hell that would never happen. If I am being honest there are parts of this book I LOVED and I wanted to reread 100 times and I was screaming 5 stars must read but then there are those things that made me say NEVER WOULD HAPPEN, NO CHANCE IN HELL 2 STARS!!! If I was just rating Rush as a character he is hands down a 5 star character, he never changed who he was or what he was. Jules however infuriated me and made me hate her, she confused me, she made me question things she said and that’s why I have to say 3.5 I can’t get over certain things. When I read the first book Ms. Cole wrote I thought who the hell thinks like this. Who the hell has this kind of brilliance in their head? Then I had a few conversations with her and realized she does- that’s who. She walks her own path when writing, but the one thing that is for sure, when you finish- you will be left in awe at the crazy ride she just took you on. I have loved being on this journey as Stevie finds her mojo and who she is. She is passionate and it comes through in her characters. You will love them, hate them, root them on and journey along as they find themselves.
If you were like me you gathered that Jules was a bitch in book one. Damn did I have it wrong? What she is- is a person who has wanted something for 6 years she couldn’t have- or so she thought. Breaking the rules is one thing Rush is good at. He is the untouchable bad boy who just happens to have an eye for the forbidden. The forbidden could cost them both. Drowning while trying to sort yourself and your fame may cost you everything.
Rush had me intrigued, but let me just tell you about 45% into this book I couldn’t put the damn book down. I turned into that girl that said- just one more page to see what happens. When he flipped into the role of you are going to be mine and that was it- I was like hello RUSH where the hell do I get my Rush fan club shirt. Stevie makes you fall for these men no matter what issues they have. They could have a fetish with wearing girls’ underwear and by the end of the book you will want your man to wear a pink thong.

Rush is the embodyment of a manwhore, never have I ever seen a character quite like this. But be sure he'll get's a MAJOR wake up call at some point that not only involves him but others around him as well.
Now putting his manwhore manners aside he does have a certain soft spot for the bands assistent manager Jules who has been with them from pretty much the get go.
These two have shared a connection from day one but never actually acted on it, until one steamy night that is. Now you don't think it'll be a fairy tale after this would you? ;)
Fast forward one year...
Will it finally be their time? Will they finally be able to put all these "issues" behind them? Or is this just one of these relationships that are just not meant to be? Will she be his game changer?

This is my first read by this author and what a great way to start as I really enjoyed this story. Rush can be read as a standalone although after reading this I'll certainly be going back and reading book one.
Rush is a rock star. He's also a man whore who jumps into bed with any woman he meets. The one woman he truly wants is Jules his tour manager. She wants him but is wary as she knows of his bad ways. Can he show her his true self?
If you like rocker bands then I highly recommend this story. Stevie did a fantastic job of this story. I'm looking forward to reading more of Stevies stories.

4 stars for Rush and Jules
Rush Wilder's experiences with fame were quite similar to Jag's. The easy access to drugs, the constant supply of women. It was all overwhelming and those higher up in the industry only fuel that flame of destruction to maintain their control over the band.
Where Jag's addiction numbed his pain, Rush's addictions allied him to feel and Jules was the one that could help him do that without of all the synthetic assistance or warm bodies kneeling at his feet. But Jules was off limits. Her job was to basically be heir handler. She was present to see first hand the freedoms they were afforded. She may. It have liked it, but it was her job to ensure they had what ever they wanted to keep them happy and productive so the label could bank on their talent.
Rush and Jules was a forbidden love that took years to develop and it was Rush to go after what he wanted and she sure as hell didn't make it easy on him. I couldn't blame her. I don't know that I could overlook his reputation. She was certainly braver to even consider it.
Now, while I thoroughly enjoyed the second book in the series I felt like it was missing something. Having just finished it, not even an hour ago...I couldn't tell you anything about Rush other than he was the bassist, enjoyed his recreational drug use and earned his reputation as a man-whore. Other than being Jag's best friend since childhood, I know nothing about who he was before Pandemic Sorrow's fame nor anything about his family. The same goes for Jules. She loved her job and tried like hell not to have anything to do with Rush, but aside from that I couldn't tell you much of her personal life.
So far the theme in the series is holding strong. Stevie J Cole has done an amazing job of using Pandemic Sorrow's fame to show the dark side of celebrity life. Most rock star romances just shine a light of the fun side of everything while the characters relish in bright lights with stars in their eyes. I like my stories to not just be an escape to fantasy. Sometimes a dose of reality makes the story that much more real. So far, that's what this series has been for me.
Just like the characters in this book, people, no matter their status, are just people. They feel pain. They hide pain and sometimes they want...no, need to be loved. It takes a much stronger person to love those most vulnerable. And these characters may be famous rockstars, but they have been two of the most vulnerable I have ever come across.

Wow. These Pandemic Sorrow boys really do know how to make me feel torn. On one hand I really want to love them but on the other, they do insist on repeatedly messing everything up and that in turns makes me hate them....And then they do something that makes me go awwww and I'm back to thinking they're maybe not that bad.
I found Rush a lot easier to like and connect with compared to the other characters. Even though he's a whore, rude and at times disgusting, I still loved him. Once you get past his rockstar persona and see how he really feels about Jules, he's surprisingly easy to like.
Assistant manager of the group Jules has her work cut out trying to control the boys. Fighting her attraction towards Rush, she knows deep down that anything between them won't end well. I loved Jules. I completely got where she was coming from.

This is my first book by this author but I will be going back to read Jag. This is the second book in a new rock star series that will leave your panties wet and you begging for more. While this book is a standalone, for full impact I imagine reading book one prior gives the series more completeness. This book was amazing. It was full of angst, drama, steam, sexy times, and had one bad boy, dirty talking rocker who could make you swoon at the blink of an eye.
This is Jules and Rush's story. Rush is a whore. He likes his women loose and his drugs hard. He wouldn't have it an other way. An encounter and night of passion with a woman who is totally forbidden and off limits has his mind thinking of possibilities that he shouldn't. And the idea of mindless sex with nameless women is becoming less appealing. Now if he can just convince her.... Jules knows her one time mistake cannot happen again. Being a member of management, it is breaking so many rules and to bad for her, the man who is tempting her is almost worth breaking them. When these two give into temptation again, they are playing with fire. With the band having issues and their secret love affair, it is only a matter of time before everything explodes. Will Jules and Rush be able to get a happy ending or are their too many obstacles in their way?
Oh Rush.... how I wanted to strangle you at times then turn around a kiss you hard. Yes this man made me go crazy at times. If You read Jag you will have been dying for this book! Well I was. And Stevie didn't let me down. This was another book by her that sucked me in. I literally read this book in over an hour. Stevie makes speed reading happen, as you will see when you start this book.
This book isn't as dark as Jag. Which is good. This book as me and Stevie were saying is about Rush who is Oh so sexy, but not the brightest crayon in the box LOL. But I fell in love with him.

But life isn't always so black and white. Some things don't happen as you may have planned or wanted them to. As Rush and Jules so learn in this book!

This book isn't as dark as Jag. Which is good. This book as me and Stevie were saying is about Rush who is Oh so sexy, but not the brightest crayon in the box LOL. But I fell in love with him.

I adore rock star books, always have. I read Stevie J. Cole's debut book, Jag, a few months ago and was blown away by it. Getting my hands on Rush was just as satisfying. I love that Stevie doesn't shy away from some subjects that seem to either be glossed over or skipped entirely by other books in this genre. There is real grit and substance to her stories.
Rush has a thing for Pandemic Sorrow's tour manager, Jules. But he also has a thing for every other groupie paraded through the back room after one of the band's performances. Let's face it, Jules went there once with Rush and she's never going there again after having front row seats to his manwhore ways. She's the one who arranges all the group's whores after every show. Rush finally convinces her to take a chance with him. But the dark side of fame comes a knockin' on his door. With these two be able to make it out unscathed?
Rush takes place simultaneously with Jag. We get little glimpses into his head as to how he feels about their relationship (Jag and Roxy) while navigating his own.
This is another amazing read from Stevie J. Cole. I'm dying for the rest of the band's stories. I am in awe of the risks she takes. And could these guys have hotter names, or what?! Jag, Rush, Stone and Pax! Yum!
Rush is told in Rush's first person POV. Although part of a series, it could be read standalone. I do however highly recommend you read Jag first, because it's a hell of a book. No cliffhanger.

Reading this book straight after Jag wasn’t really the best thing to do. I should have left a gap. The reason being is that Jag and Rush are very similar. They both live the typical rockstar life of sex and drugs and rock n roll.
Whereas Jag was a total mess with his drug habit, Rush was more responsible with his drugs, if that makes sense! He had a handle on it and used more for recreational reasons. He controlled the drugs, they didn’t control him. The difference between the two of them was that I think Rush was more likeable and more dimensional.
Jules was a strange character. I swear her character changed half way through the book making me go from really liking her to thinking what a bitch towards the middle of the book!
Once again, I enjoyed reading Ms Cole’s depiction of the life of a rockstar. It all seemed very plausible to me. I felt this was a better written book. The plot was set out early on and kept true throughout the book. I felt the story moved forwards and flowed much better than the first book.
If you like your rockstars fucked up but likeable then you should pick up these books!

3.5 stars. I enjoyed it, but not as much as the first book. The majority of the book details Rush's experiences with random groupies and there is not much interaction with him and the heroine, Jules until the last 30-40% or so. I get that this is how his reputation is and he is the famous man-whore rockstar, but it was a bit much. The writing is excellent though and I will be reading more from this author.

if you loved Jag then you are gonna love Rush. Rush is in face, down and gritty story. Rush is your typical manwhore rocker but he has a thing for Jules. Jules thinks that Rush is a disgusting manwhore and wants nothing to do with him. Watch as them come together with fireworks. Rush will soon learn exactly why Jag was so lost. The men of Pandemic Sorrow are going to ruin you for any other rocker.

This book is much the same as the first book. Manwhore who uses women to cope with his demons. He then falls head over heels quickly for his manager who has been in front of him the whole time. After alot of craziness they sort things out. Which kind of pissed me off as I don't think I would have been as forgiving as Jules. But everyone of us is different.
Again I would say have a read and judge this for yourselves

Rush Wilder is the bassist in Pandemic Sorrow and best friends with lead singer Jag Steele. Like Jag he is a womanizer and uses drugs very frequently. After a visit with a doctor he is told that he is a sex addict and has chronic anxiety. He is living the rock star life but attracted to one woman that he shouldn't be, Jules, the assistant to his manager Jules.
Jules is attracted to Rush and one night gives in to her attraction to him but realizes it was a mistake. One that she doesn't want to repeat again. Unfortunately she still has feelings for Rush but his charades are getting out of control and Jules must also deal with James and all the crap that he is pulling behind the scenes.
When something happens that makes Rush really think about his life will it cause him to turn things around or sink further? When James forces Rush to make a choice will he choose the right one?
This was another great book in this series. I liked that we got to see another side of Rush a little in this one but it was definitely an eye-opener to see what his life was like.
Rush is addicted to sex and it was ironic to see him dealing with an STD and some other things. It was interesting how James was able to exploit every little thing to his advantage to stay in control of the band and how he truly wanted them as bad boys.
There was a different side of Rush that we got to see at the hospital and I think that allowed him to see a different side of himself. I loved the bond between him and Cody Williams and at the end that helped Rush see his own possibilities.
Jules was torn between her job and Rush. She hated seeing how drugs and sex were destroying Rush but was powerless to stop him. She tried to keep all the band members safe but knew that James didn't want the members clean or in relationships as it could hurt the bands popularity. The lies that James told were huge and I felt bad for Jules being put in such bad positions.
There was a lot of chemistry between Jules and Rush and Jules has seen Rush at his lowest points and had to clean up after some of his messes. Yet she also saw the good parts of him which kept bringing her back to him.
I'm interested in reading what happens next with the band and hopefully we can learn more about Stone soon! - By Rebecca

After the first book and the journey that Jag took, I was looking forward to this book I thought that Rush would be everything I expected…well I was only half right.
He was everything I thought he would be but that was the bad bits, the good bits and they did come, so bear with him were what I hadn’t anticipated.
I think it is safe to say that he made no bones about the fact that he enjoyed the company of women, he was a walking embodiment of what a m****ore really is but everyone has their day of reckoning and for Rush his was spectacular! And for him and everyone around him his s**t finally got real.
I liked that he had a thing for the bands assistant manager that had so far be thwarted, I could feel myself rooting for her, but I also wondered how his antics would have left a mark on her attitude towards him, well let’s just say that she doesn’t suffer him for long really, they have one steamy night together and then it was as if nothing had happened, I was chomping at the bit for more but the author made them wait it out and the story picked up a whole year later!
I knew then that they had to find a way to not only work together but if there is ever the chance of something coming from what they both feel then they have to find a way of leaving it in the past, the question was could they?
Would Jules be his turning point? His forever? Well it was a far from smooth road and I was more than a little concerned for the along the way but I kept my fingers crossed…. did it work, well you need to read it find out!

Wow this book was awesome and needless to say read it in one day. Here we have Rush who’s sexy rockstar and Jags best friend. He’s feeling guilty because of Jags out of control drug use but he’s hardly any better, Rush just has a chippy but Jag is a junkie. He’s been in love with Jules for seven long years but kept his distance because the label would get her fired if they found out he was involved with her. Reading how he finally gets her is so sweet. The way the label made them do stuff like f**k & suck meets was no different then James bringing hookers to them as a gift. These guys all felt like they had so much yet they had nothing and were just lonely. I don’t usually like books that have pages and pages of internal dialogue but the thoughts in these people’s head is hilarious and I found it exhilarating. Actually in this book it was necessary because even though these guys are friends, they don’t talk or share much. They also don’t have friends they talk to much. Still I never felt the need to flick my Kindle pages at the speed of light. This was a good story even though I really didn’t care very much for Jules, she was kind of cold but look what she had to deal with.

I loved this book by this wonderful author. Rush is such a great character he has his issues and he is a broken so he is the kind of guy I love to read about!!
Rush is a sex crazed over the top dirty talking bassist with the bnd Pandemic Sorrow. This story is full of undesirable activities but how so fun to read. Lots and lots of sex, once again addiction. The Hero is hard to understand unless you have a good understanding of the Rockstar life and as far as I am concerned this author did an amazing job explaining it and her character!!
I loved everything about this book and I find it to be one of the best Rockstar Books out there...did you notice I didn't say rockstar ROMANCE....if you have not read it yes grab a copy and start now!!

There is something so ridiculously sweet about a bad**s rock star pining for the one girl he can't have. I mean he could have anyone he wanted but his heart was hopelessly devoted to Jules and that just melted my heart. Of course their love story was no fairytale by any stretch. Rush's story was less dark than Jag's, but still filled with all the typical rock star stereotypes of sex and drugs. There were a couple of twists in the story, and it was highly engaging. I didn't want Rush's story to end. I loved the added tidbits to Jag and Roxy's story that were thrown in here and there. The story read faster for me than Jag's in part because it seemed less heavier. I can't wait to read Roxy's story!!!
