📖: Luna (Beware Of The Widows)

The author infuses so much emotional depth into Luna’s backstory and her heart-shattering loss and grief. She reinvents herself but carried her emotional scars over the last 13 years.

I loved seeing how the sweet beta in her life who patiently waited for her to catch up to his feelings and the possessive MC pack integrate with her but do so on her terms.

This story also showcases the sisterhood among the other widows, especially Luna’s shared past with Lark.

The author brilliantly blends dark undertones, complicated family dynamics, emotional healing, and love that grows roots even in the face of adversity. Luna is an emotional roller coaster teeming with surprises and twists that kept my heart on edge!

Tropes to expect:
✨Multi POVs
✨MC omegaverse
✨Why choose (MMMMFM)
✨Omega lawyer FMC
✨Reverse grumpy/sunshine
✨Male & female omegas
✨Cärtel connections
✨Open door 🌶️

Huge thanks to the author for the review copy. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This one was pretty good except the pacing was all sorts of wrong.
First the first 15-20% of the book is either in the past or just starting the present. Then the middle chunk is her and Pres establishing their sudden relationship and her denying the scent matches. Then they all bond. Huh?

These books are hard to read because they’re so short and rushed. The 2 Alphas didn’t even seem interested in Luna and Pres then all of a sudden they’re bonded? The whole Christian story arc was just plain rough to read. I love a second chance love arc but this one was just weird and tragic. He can’t remember faces? Really? Out of all the options, this is what’s picked?

Pres and Knight are really the only MMC you get to know and even then it’s minimal. Like why did Pres come to Widows Peak? It’s like one sentence. Knight we understand from his twin angle. Mack- he’s huge and doesn’t like to socialize? Ok. Vengeance- he’s hot headed and apparently went on a slaughtering spree that he doesn’t remember? Ok..

Luna definitely has her walls up high, but it's understandable after all she had endured. I loved seeing her let her guard down and find her happily ever after with her pack. I also loved that her pack was a few different people coming together (not just her joining an established pack!) Another enjoyable addition to this series.

This is definitely one of my favourites of Miranda’s books. She did give my heart a bit of a battering at the start there – how could she throw all that at our poor FMC all at once! *sob* – but she restored it back to normal with significant more shine later. I very quickly got 100% invested in this story and zoomed through it. Love this pack so so much!

While I did have a soft spot for grumpy Luna, I did love seeing our Ice Queen’s heart thaw and see her start to enjoy life again – giggling, blushing and all. I loved that scene between Prescott and Luna and how cutesy they are before they get together. I really loved this version of her!

Prescott is such a sweetie. A little bit of sunshine right there. He was totally a lovesick puppy over Luna, pining at the start, and that immediately won me over. I loved how Prescott played a massive part in getting the female omega to let her hair down initially, and that he is ready to stand on Luna’s side, no matter what.

And Knight, well, he’s a star in my book too! Willing to do anything to save his sister, he totally lived up to his nickname. I loved how sensitively he approaches Luna’s reluctance about finding her scent matches and how he asks permission to make sure she’s comfortable with things. I adored Knight’s charm, especially that little cheeky side of his.

I loved that important conversation between Knight, Luna and Prescott in chapter 21. The omega and beta get massive brownie points for their perfect A* responses, which were full of understanding to Luna’s feelings, and only made me love those two even more. Okay, so I was grinning like a maniac at that bit.

Knight and Prescott did steal my heart, and I loved how much those two hit it off; and yes, of course, I mean for the spicy scenes too!

I was really fond of Ven too. Impulsive, broody and a little bit jealous at times, something about his grouchy asshole personality really appealed to me. I was pretty obsessed with his nicknames for Knight, Luna and Prescott: baby boy, baby girl and little beta.

And of course, we can't forget the quiet, steady alpha, Mack, as well as our late addition to the pack – but you'll need to read the book to find out more!

I loved the smaller groups’ relationships separately before they all became a pack and then when they all came together it only got even better. I really enjoyed the banter and the obvious affection between them all.

This story had a great storyline that fit into a relatively short book. I really enjoyed this one, and definitely would not have complained if it’d been longer with more of those wonderful spicy group scenes too *wink*

-----

Some of my favourite quotes

“I’d love nothing more than to cuddle the shit out of you, Luna. I mean, I’m always willing to have sex if that’s what you want, but this hasn’t been about sex for me in a long time.”

“My point was that while I like you just the way you are, it’s kind of nice to see a more playful side—to see you letting loose even a little.”

“Don’t apologize for that. I’m always here for you—especially when you’re freaking out.”

“We’ll figure this out, Lu. No matter what, it’s you and me.”

“Oh, we’re definitely going to spend some time getting to know one another. But I need to be clear about something. Luna may not be my scent match, but I love her. If you ever ask me to choose, I won’t leave her.” “I would never ask that of you. Hell, I don’t want to leave her. Believe it or not, I’m very good at sharing—just ask my alphas.”

“But I want her, so I’ll do whatever she wants me to for as long as she needs me to. I’ll use scent blockers for the rest of my life just to be allowed to be in her orbit.”

“I’m yours no matter who you decide belongs in your pack.”

“I trust your judgement, Luna. You and Knight are the heart of this pack we’re building. The two of you are who decides who’s a part of it.”

I loved the way Miranda May handled Luna's journey. While she found her scent matches and began building her pack, she never let go of the future she had imagined since she was young.

One of my favorite parts of the story was watching Luna hold onto that hope, even when the odds seemed stacked against her. The emotional payoff of that storyline was worth every moment of waiting, and I found myself rooting for her happiness from beginning to end.

I also loved that Luna never had to choose between the life she was building and the future she had dreamed about for so long. Seeing her relationships develop and her pack come together felt natural and satisfying. Miranda May does a wonderful job showing that love can grow without diminishing the connections that matter most.

Another thing I really appreciated was the way the motorcycle club family handled the relationship. Instead of demanding loyalty at the expense of Luna's happiness, they recognized that the best thing for everyone was to let this new family build a life of their own. That's not something you see often in MC romances, where leaving the club can be treated as a betrayal. Here, the love and support extended beyond the club itself, and I thought that made the story even stronger.

And as much as I loved Luna's story, I still love watching the widows continue to build their safe town. Each book adds another piece to the community they're creating, and it has become one of my favorite parts of the series. Seeing that world grow alongside the romances makes every new installment feel like coming home.

With plenty of emotion, spice, and heart, Luna was another wonderful addition to the series, and I can't wait to see where the widows' town goes next.

Disclosure: I received a complimentary Advance Review Copy (ARC) of Luna directly from the author in exchange for an honest review.

In Luna, Miranda May drops readers into a gritty, deeply intense corner of the Beware of the Widows shared dark world.

This book is an incredibly packed, high-heat MMMMFM motorcycle club and cartel romance that balances massive amounts of trauma with an expertly executed polyamorous pack dynamic.

Luna is an attorney dedicated to saving troubled omegas, a mission born out of the immense survival guilt she carries after escaping a three-year imprisonment a decade ago. When the Sinner’s Pride MC rides into her safe haven asking for help with a mutual contact, she is forced to confront a brutal past she thought she left behind.

The pack dynamic—featuring a calculated mix of three Alphas, one Beta, and two Omegas—is easily the highlight of the book. The intimacy develops naturally without ever feeling forced, and the open-door chemistry hits exceptionally hard.

The plot moves at an absolute breakout pace. Because everything moves so fast, it feels like the narrative flies by, leaving very little room to deeply process the profound grief, abuse, and trauma Luna experiences.

The main villain is thoroughly unlikable but ultimately acts foolishly, resulting in a resolution that feels a bit too easy compared to the massive buildup. While the promised plot twist did not quite land for me, this remains a highly addictive, relentless, and incredibly spicy dark romance.

If you love deep pack dynamics, high stakes, and heavy emotional themes, add this to your reading queue.

Luna I believe is the 5th book in the Beware of the Widows series but was the first book I’ve read by this author. It is also the first book I’ve read in this series, although there are characters and events referred to throughout the book from what I assume are earlier in the series I felt that it read perfectly fine as a standalone.

Luna is our fmc, she is a lawyer in her early 30’s and she has some serious emotional scars. The author did an incredible job of showing us her traumatic background and the reasons why she became a lawyer specialising in cases involving omegas (this is set in the omegaverse). Her paralegal Pres was such a sweetheart, a beta who harboured secret (or not so secret) feelings for his boss. Knight, Ven and Mack are members of a motorcycle club who are needing Luna’s legal expertise to help a family member who is stuck in a tricky and dangerous situation.

I liked how the pack moved at a pace Luna was comfortable with, dealing with trauma isn’t always easy or linear. I also really enjoyed seeing how the MC members treated each other, seeing their dynamics at play and how they spoke to each other was a lovely surprise. My only small note I had for this book is I wish it was a little longer, I felt that the pack forming and the ending was a little rushed, but other than that I liked this book. If you enjoy omegaverse, scent matches, why-choose and intelligent heroines with leading men who don’t mind sharing I think you’ll like this one.

I received this book as an ARC from the author. This review was given freely and is my honest thoughts. Please check trigger warnings as some heavy topics are mentioned

Check CWs before reading

Another great read from May, again proving why she's one of the OV authors I always go back to.

This one is certainly on the darker end of her books, but it's understandable when you think of the shared world, and just what the Widow's have individually (and together) been through. That's not to say it's all darkness and gloom; there is very much sweetness and humour laced within the pages as we read about Luna finding her pack and dealing with someone from her past.

This is full of emotion, of growth, and of complex dynamics between families, friends, finding your scent matches and protecting your heart. It's a book about healing, about dealing with old wounds (as well as fresh), and understanding that it is okay to love again after loss, and that love finds itself in the most surprising of places (so hard to write this one spoiler free!).

I loved the growing dynamic between Luna and her eventual pack, and I love how inclusive of designations it is. I also really love May's take on poly dynamics - that not everyone has to have a romantic/sexual relationship within the pack to work, but that a polycule will still work with this in mind.

Now, I won't lie. I cottoned on to the twist quite early, BUT But it didn't detract from the almost-shock of the reveal when it did happen.

I love the found family element between Luna and the rest of the Widow's, and this really has me itching to go back and read the books that I wasn't fortunate to read during the ARC process (I've only read Luna and book 1, Lexi thus far).

Thank you to the author for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

Meeting Widows Peak's lawyer as she finds her pack

First off I have read all of the books in thus shared series so I knew more about the town. However, Luna's story is all new except her time with the other founders.

This story starts before Luna existed. Mariana was so very loved by her family and the man she was to marry. Well her half brother actually hated her but we don't know why. I loved this intro and discovering the heartbreaking reason she ended up in Gideon's hands to begin with.

When three men from a Florida MC comes to Luna seeking her help in locating an Omega that is now connected with her half brother things get complicated. When one if them reveals he is not only an Omega but also the twin to the missing Omega Luna knows she will help.

I absolutely love double Omega stories. This story is even more fun once all the Alphas are into guys and her Beta gets to discover he us now into men too. I love reading first times, bratty Omegas, surprise heats and all the different pairings available when the men are together too.

I absolutely loved how this one ended up coming together. There were so many unexpected moments. Also, that bonding scene was so freaking hot.

Miranda always manages to bring all the connections together in a real way. We have an Alpha who often gets a bit jealous and possessive (which is hot), we have the Beta who loves degradation from the grumpy Omega and is finally allowed in for more than just a heat partner, we have the male Omega. Seriously what's not to love?

Luna by Mirand May is the 5th interconnected book in the Beware of the Widows world. Each book focuses on an omega character that we meet in the first book.

This book digs deep into Lunas past. We get to see what exactly happened 13 years ago. The moments that lead up to her kidnapping, the 3 years she there, and how she has been in the 10 years since escaping.

Luna life was instantly turned upside down the moment her dad and step mom pass away. When her half brother decides to marry her off to a pack and not be a guardian anymore. After running away she gets kidnapped. Being trafficked for 3 years. Her and 5 other omegas escape and build an omega haven for other omegas. Being the lawyer of the group and for the company Luna leads a busy life. When Sinners Pride MC come to Luna for help finding someone, Luna is going to get the biggest help.

The 5 men come into her life and help her in ways she didnt know she needed. The calming and safe presence of them help her open up to them. Their calm, respectful, they do not push her for anything. Its all about Luna. I love how they change to what Luna needs and when she needs it. Seeing her transform from 'ice queen' into the omega she was always meant to be had me crying.

This book is filled with everything from high heat, pain, deep emotions, trauma and healing, burning chemistry, danger, found family and twists and turns you never saw coming. Its fast paced. Once you start reading you won't be able to stop.

I really loved this book. All of the characters were fantastic, and while it got a little heartbreaking at the beginning (yes, I definitely shed some tears 😭), it was such a rewarding journey.

Luna has been through so much before finding some stability in her life. It was beautiful watching her finally open herself up to someone new, enter Prescott, the most amazing Beta. Seriously, how adorable was he? Kind, caring, understanding, and completely obsessed with Luna in the best way possible 🥹

When Luna takes on a case that completely disrupts her new normal, she’s forced to confront parts of her past she’d rather leave buried. Along the way, she meets Knight, an omega, and Mack and Ven, two alphas. It turns out these three men are Luna and Prescott’s scent matches, but accepting that isn’t easy when Luna is still carrying the grief of losing the love of her life.

I absolutely loved this pack. Their chemistry, banter, and overall dynamic were so much fun to read. They felt supportive, protective, and genuinely perfect together.

This story also threw plenty of twists and turns my way, including one huge reveal that completely caught me off guard and somehow made this pack even more adorable. I genuinely did not see it coming!

I loved everything about this book and had such a great time reading it 🥰

Loving This Series

I absolutely loved this shared world! Miranda’s installment was full of pain, deep emotional trauma, new beginnings, romance, chemistry, humor, danger, found family, twists & turns (you may or may not see coming 😝), just the right amount of darkness, and of course, in classic Miranda style, love that had no boundaries or limits. Watching Luna’s transformation, especially after finding out her backstory, was nothing short of an amazingly beautiful metamorphosis. The men that find their way into her life were just what she needed, but they needed each other too. Watching them all get to the point of true family to each other was just perfection. Through it all, as with the other books we’ve had, there’s the beautiful strength & bond of friendships that were built during a traumatic time that should’ve broken these women, yet it only made them stronger, even when they had things they still needed to individually work through. You can read it as a standalone, but I truly don’t recommend it. This series hits harder when read in order…IMO. Basically, I loved this from beginning to end, and only regretted real life getting in the way of reading it all in one sitting lol. I don’t know how Miranda packed so much emotional chaos into a fairly shorter book, but it just proves why she’s the author & I’m the reader ❤️

This is one of the books that is part of the Beware the Widows shared world. This is Luna’s story.

Going through all the books, you realize quickly the Luna’s story was a doozy and it really was. I will not be discussing it because I think that’s something the reader should discover on their own. I will say this, it’s pretty emotional.

Luna is an amazing woman who is definitely doing her best dang job of being the town attorney. Her assistant Prescott, dang that man has heart eyes for the pretty Hispanic attorney. And he’s a fine beta. He’s definitely the sunshine to Luna’s grumpy. But if you wanna meet grumpy, Vengeance will give grumpy the definition. Vengeance and his pack Mack and Knight are part of the Sinners Pride MC and they’re rolled into town seeking the help from pretty little omega attorney. Knight’s twin sister is under lock and key and she needs out.

And this is where everything comes crashing down and Luna is faced with an obstacle. Her past has literally come back to haunt her.

Really enjoyed the story and it makes wonder, have some hope that Stacia will get a book.

I have loved every book in this series, and this one is no different! Luna's world is upended when her older half brother shoots and kills her fiancee after their father and her mother die. He wants to marry her off to a business ally. She runs away and gets kidnapped with the other widows. Years later, she's an attorney that's known for helping omegas. When Knight, Ven, and Mack come to town to seek help getting Knight's sister back from a cartel boss, someone Luna had hoped to never see again, she discovers they are her scent matches. She realizes she can't say no to helping not one, but two omegas, especially because she knows how dangerous her brother is. Prescott, her beta paralegal, has finally managed to get Luna to see him as more than an employee and heat buddy, and he's also scent matched to the newcomers. As they're planning next steps, one of her brother's goons shows up to kidnap or eliminate her and realizes everything he knows since her brother brought him from the hospital has been a lie. Together, they come up with a plan to rescue Knight's sister. Then, they have to decide if packing up will work for all of them. Spicy and a bit dark and dangerous. Loved it!!!

Luna is the 5th standalone in an interconnected series by various authors that catalogue the lives of a group of Omega (non-shifter) females before and after they escape a human trafficking ring. These women found a town called Widow’s Peak where Omegas and Betas can heal and live together in safety.

This book follows Luna, who was raised in the Cartel and then sold shortly after she designated as an Omega. She and her Beta paralegal, assist three burly bikers in finding their kidnapped sister. Then throw in her first love that she thought was lost to her. Can they figure everything out to allow themselves to accept love and form a pack? You’ll have to read to find out!

Despite the heavy themes of trafficking and abuse, Aries and the other Omegas are able to get the help they need to heal and become bad ass babes. This is a DARK Romance, so please check all the trigger warnings before reading. But this book is well worth the read.

When you know, you know.

A dark omegaverse and a captivating, emotional read that hooks you from the very first page.

It's a super exciting book where there's always something happening. The twists completely shocked me and delighted me at the same time.

Our omega FMC is wonderful, with a distinct personality that makes her stand out. Her resilience and strength make her a true survivor and a remarkable ally.

As a why-choose romance, it features a diverse cast of MMCs, both in terms of personality and designation, and they're all incredibly captivating in their own morally gray way.
Some of them were already a pack before meeting our FMC, which adds an interesting dynamic to the story.

What all of the MCs have in common, however, is a traumatic past that they're trying to overcome. And, as expected from this series, the past refuses to stay buried.
If our MCs want a chance at a future, they'll have to confront it head-on.

Fortunately, our FMC is incredibly strong and resilient. She faces every challenge with her head held high, refusing to back down no matter what life throws at her—just like her mates and her friends, who are more like sisters than friends.

Each and every time I return to this incredible shared world I fall in love with these characters all over again.

And each and every time I meet a new group of characters I am immediately hooked!
This FMC, my heart shattered for her, my goodness how quickly her entire world got flipped upside down. And despite everything she has managed to make a name for herself.
Our first MMC, my heart immediately broke for him… loosing his family so young, and then having to move away from everything he ever knew. But also his instant connection with the MMC… that first love… and then the tragedy and heartbreak.
Our second,MMC that we’re introduced to… I instantly adored him, he takes care of his boss, his friend, his omega.. the best he can and doesn’t let his designation as a beta stop him from claiming his mate.
Then the rest of our MMCs roll into town and thats when it really gets interesting.
The characters… the emotions. The suspense. The chemistry. The SPICE!
It was all so good!
I cannot tell you how this book managed to break my heart and then slowly put it back together!
Seriously this series is incredible!

Luna! How to describe this fmc?! She definitely has a dominatrix persona. A very serious, severe almost dominant alpha vibe, that she calls professionalism. She's very hard to get close to, standoffish even. Of course this fmc has a traumatic past but still, she's not easy to approach. She also hides many secrets even with the Widows, the sisterhood she has made, except for one. The only widow who knows her from her past. Oh and lets not forget there's a sweet nerdy beta that's completely and utterly in love with this Omega. Only thing is everyone knows except for her apparently. Add in some  new arrivals in Widows Peak, her scent-matched to be exact, and this Omega is overwhelmed and delusional if she thinks to refuse them as her mates. Oh and did I mention that these alphas are bikers who needs her help? One scent of this fmc and these bikers aren't about to leave without their mates 'cause even the beta is theirs too. With her past resurfacing, this might all collapse before it even begins.

This book is a Why choose? Omegaverse with MMMMFM     ⚔️ do cross here 🥵
Must Read Series 📚
Enjoy 😉

‼️SPOILERS‼️

I’m such a sucker when it comes to two omegas in a pack but when it’s a male and female omega, I’m so interested. I also signed up for it not realizing that one of the M’s would be popping back in later.

I love how we get a little bit of Luna’s story to how she became who she became. Let’s just say her brother is a complete douche. The way that she is makes complete sense.

I was not prepared for the little twist and turn we get with a certain character because I don’t want to ruin the book.

I also love how most of the guys are together with one another. I’m a fan for MM+ along with over the top possessive alphas for their omega.

I was so pleased to then open that we get when Luna gets her revenge later on the book. I did want to see more of Luna with her brothers because those guys really had no clue.

This is my first book by Miranda and now, I need to read more of her work because this was truly amazing. I wanted more when it was done.

I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

Luna is one of the books in the Beware of the Widows series and is written by Miranda May.

💜 cartel
💜 motorcycle club
💜 scent matches
💜 revenge
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Mariana loves her family. She knows that her father works for the Colombian Cartel, but he is always nice to her and her family. She also is doing well in school, so well that she skipped grades so she could have more of a challenge. As she grows, things change and she’s engaged to Christian. She’s getting ready to finish her second year in college, when her older brother insists she come home. Is everything ok? What happened? Will she and Christian still be married in a couple of months?

This was a fun addition to the series. I liked how her story came together. The world and character building were done well in this book. This series has been fun to read and this book was no different. I like how all of the authors include the other characters in their books because it makes for a larger and more in depth world build. I really like this book and can’t wait to see whose story will come out next.

LUNA SHINES BRIGHTLY

An emotionally charged read from Miranda May adds new depth to this already amazing shared world of Beware of the Widows. While all standalones, I would highly recommend reading in order so as not to ruin any spoilers for the other books. Luna's tragic and traumatic past shapes her into the woman she has become but there is so much more to this character. Her strength, determination and resilience is astounding but as with all Omegas, she has a soft side that needs a little nurturing. Her pack, I want to say misfits, outlaws and secret twists is the key and binds this book together beautifully. Miranda's writing was fantastic and engaging, she brought depth and meaning to all the words and left me wanting more in a good way! This book and series needs to be added to all TBRs, because there is so much this shared world and Luna can offer to readers who love strong FMCs, MMCs who will burn the world for them but are happy to support the FMCs to do it themselves.

I absolutely loved Luna’s story!

Luna has a lot of emotional scars and baggage regarding the widows’ escape so she studied law and works to help other omegas in trouble. When three members of a motorcycle club roll into town, she didn’t expect that the omega they wanted to help would be held by a demon from her past. Now she has to decide how far she is willing to go and if she can overcome her fears to face her past. Not to mention the fact that she has finally gotten comfortable enough to consider dating when scent matches complicate everything.

I loved seeing how Luna finally came to terms with her past and her trauma. She was so strong and smart and I loved seeing how soft the men were with her. The guys were absolutely adorable especially with their protective natures. I did feel like the ending was slightly rushed, but I loved how the relationships developed and how they all made such a great team.

I received a free advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Thank you to the author for the opportunity!

Wow what a mind#$k, and im not even mad at it

This book tells the story of Luna, who we learned in Lark's story that not all was as it seemed.

Growing up Luna has the love of her family and the boy who turned into the man she adored.
Christian came to their family from tragedy and Luna left under the cyber of darkness for the same reason

Thirteen years later she meets the ones who would help her journey and bring her from pain to closure.

Prescott, who stood by her side for 6 years that it took for Luna to realize her feelings for him, and the new ones who came to her for help only to help her. Mack, Vengeance, and Knight, a MC group, looking to free Knight's sister

LUNA
By: Miranda May
Beware of the Widows Series
Book 5

ARC REVIEW

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Star Review
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4/5 Spice Level

The Lawyer’s story from Widow’s Peak!

RECOMMENDATION:
Another heartbreaking start to a Widows book! Dang, this one broke my whole heart! Mariana/Luna endures a horrible trauma that changes the entire direction of her life. Of course we know she also ends up with the other ladies at Gideon’s, so that’s even more trauma she had to endure before escaping to the solace of Widow’s Peak! We get a plot twist that made me gasp audibly! So good!!

MMCs are Prescott (from Widow’s Peak)
Sinner’s Pride MC Club: Knight (Omega), Ven (Alpha), Mack (Alpha).
+1 more.

The MC Club comes to town because Knight’s omega sister is being held against her will. He is looking for a lawyer to take her case and he heard Luna is a lawyer who helps omegas.

The spice can’t come soon enough after all that angst! Her mate circle are all amazing. They are patient, understanding, but there are alphas involved soooo…

The layout of this book is similar to the other ones in this series. It is a quick read at 250ish pages but so much happens in these pages!

TROPES:
MMMMF
Dark Past DOM Omega
Switch Omega
Motorcycle Club
She’s the Grump,
He’s the Sunshine
Omega Lawyer FMC
Male & Female Omegas

GENRE, POV, PAGE COUNT:
Dark Omegaverse
Multi-POV in 1st Person

NOTE:
Best to read this interconnected series in order!

THANKS:
Thank you to Author Miranda May for this amazing book! I loved reading it, look forward to the next book in this series and look forward to reading future books! Thank you!

Happy Reading! ♥☻

It was a decent, quick read.

I like the series. I'm not in love with it but it's solid. I can't wait for the last book. I love me some Jenn Bullard and Aisha Williams. Anyways, if you've read the previous books, you know the basic plot of the widows. This is Luna's story. It's not dark so much as a light gray. Some aspects didn't make sense to me such as Christian only having her as a mate although he does socialize with the rest of the pack. Prescott actually states he doesn't want his bite which is different. Insisted of one cohesive group, it's 2 relationships within the same group. Also, she chooses them before there's a established storyline with her and her interactions with Ven and Mack. So that was a little odd. This book won't keep you up at night but it's enjoyable enough.

4.25⭐️

I had such a fun time returning to Widows Peak and its conglomerate of enigmatic and indomitable women. This installment is focused on our loyally grumpy and brilliant Luna. Her story, much like her sisters, is rife with heartbreak and shaped by trauma.

Thirteen years as the town’s lawyer have not lessen the impact of her past. But when a new case of a captured omega comes across her desk, she is ill prepared to confront all the compartmentalized pain and grief that still remain. Choices must be made and Luna has to confront whether she can overcome her demons to truly embrace her future.

If you love a smart snarky heroine surround by a group of equally dominant and obsessive men, then I encourage you to fall in love with Luna and her story when it releases on May 31st. I only wish this was longer so we would have gotten more time to experience the growth and repair that this pack finds in each other.

As always, please check content warnings.

This book was so good, I read it in one go. Life was ignored for a few hours. With a horror back story, Luna has lived through enough and then her and her Omega friend are taken and groomed to be sold by Gideon. By the time we meet Luna in the present, that particular aspect has been resolved, Gideon has been removed from the planet. However, Luna's family and past remain simmering in her past. When her past collides with her future, suddenly she has no choice but to deal with it. I love a good Omegaverse and this hit all tropes, scent matches, chosen Alpha's, second chances, unrequited love that is suddenly requited. Steamy, fast paced, dark but with a touch of sunshine, this is a great read!

We meet Luna before she is Luna. When her life is great, she's loved by her family (most of it), with the love of her life. Then one action destroys all she holds dear.

Fast forward, Luna, Lark, and the widows are in CO, living their lives, helping omegas anytime they can. In rides, three MC members that brings information that will once again threaten to destroy all she holds dear. New love blooming, scent matches, finding how to be brave, and saving an omega in trouble, while taking care of an old enemy.

I loved Luna's story, tho it did tear me up at times, good or bad tears, it's up to you to read it and find out. I couldn't get enough of the guys. Broody, yummy, and did I mention male omega in MC.... A five star read for sure!

I enjoyed getting to know Luna as a kid, meeting her best friend, Lark, and meeting the first love of her life, Christan, and mourning the loss of her parents and all the pain and suffering her half-brother Fabian put her through. My heart hurt for Luna so much!

And that ending! I'm seriously shocked and honestly shouldn't be because Fabian showed all of the crazy signs!

I do wish Luna and Knight's heat was sort of drawn out. I wanted Luna to get to know Ven and Mack more beforehand instead of being thrown together because the trauma Luna experienced and quickly being forced into a heat with them.

Holy smokes! This book had my jaw dropping so many times! The literal mindf**k this author gives you is crazy! I never saw it coming!

I'm new to this author as I read the previous books in the Beware of the Widows series and I was not disappointed.
