An Eldritch Horror in Dracula's Court

Rate this book
The Fates are dead.

From their ruin, something unspeakable was born.

Raised in secrecy, Viktor is blissfully unaware of the ancient forces that flow through his veins. But when he's torn from his quiet life and cast into a world of shadow, blood, and cruelty, everything changes.

Captured by forces beyond mortal comprehension, he finds himself a prisoner in the castle of Lord Dracula himself, where monsters wear human faces and immortality comes at a soul-crushing price.

But something inside Viktor is changing.

Something unnatural.

Something that even the undead fear.

Haunted by prophetic dreams and hunted by horrors older than death, Viktor must navigate a court steeped in decadence and deceit as he unravels the truth of his cosmic lineage.

I really enjoyed this book. If you like dark gothic horror, you will love this book too. Hanson does an excellent job of making the characters come to life. My favorite thing about the book is how he transports the reader in to each scene and how each character seems so real with their own quarks and flaws. There were a few times when I was creeped out which doesn’t happen to me often. Recommend!

Dive into an intriguing mixture of classic monster and Lovecraftian horror. I was disturbed, I was horrified, intrigued and amused. I literally could not put it down. If you are a fan of themes like "forbidden knowledge" "ancient cosmic entities" "dreamlike fantasy" "existential horror" and my personal favorite "weird fiction" you will love this book...but it may drain your soul. Totally worth it.

I love it, but maybe I’m biased... I did write it. :)
