I’m utterly swept away by Rekindled: A Second Chance Scottish Mafia Romance! This story feels like a James Bond-style MacTavish adventure (minus the many love interests 😉). It's full of danger, suspense, forbidden love, and breathtaking emotional depth that left me completely spellbound.

Compared to the previous books, this one begins with a slow burn that draws you in, but when Catriona and Lucas finally come together, the heat explodes to scorching, unforgettable levels. Their scenes are pure fire; passionate, raw, and overflowing with years of pent-up desire. Lucas is protective, loyal, and a filthy talker 😏, yet deeply old-fashioned and romantic: a man who loves once, and loves forever. She waited for him, and he waited for her, and that devotion gives their reunion such an incredible, heart-stopping power.

Catriona is fearless, brilliant, and utterly captivating. Yet she dares to fall for her bodyguard, Lucas. But he leaves her without a word after their night together, banished for simply loving her. Years later, when she’s kidnapped, Lucas flies back without hesitation to save her. For once, Arabs aren’t painted as bad or savage people, which was such a refreshing and meaningful touch. The ever-present MacTavish clan, clever chapter taglines, and Lucas being “the best hacker ever” only add to the immersive brilliance of the story.

And just when I thought my heart couldn’t handle any more, Arianna delivers an unexpected happy twist; a surprise that shifts everything in the most beautiful way. The kidnapping, daring extraction, and ultimate "surprise", all carried out the MacTavish way, are epic, emotional, and utterly satisfying.

This book is suspenseful, heart-wrenching, steamy, and romantic all at once. I absolutely love and adore Arianna Fraser. Her storytelling always moves me, excites me, and leaves me wanting more. Rekindled proves that true love overcomes all boundaries, time, and obstacles. A breathtaking story, one of Arianna’s very best, and truly the best of the best.

Book 5 of The MacTavish Heirs

This is my first Arianna Fraser book and I'm so happy I found this author. I'm always looking for great and unique mafia romances and this one hit the spot. I'm coming in late to the MacTavish Heirs party this being the 5th book in the series and though the characters overlap through the series I was able to read this as a standalone. I'm so hooked I'm definitely going to check out the rest of the series.

This book had all the right ingredients I love in a mafia romance thrilling action, suspense, delicious Scottish characters, and a fantastic heated love story.

Lucas is a morally gray dirty-talking treasure of a man. The way he drops everything to rescue her.
Catriona is such a lovable FMC with her feisty attitude and resilience.
The two MCs are just perfect for each other. The burn is slow but once they get together it's scorching.

This was not a secret in the MacTavish house. But to finally read it was a blessing!!! As always, Arianna knows how to use her magic touch with her writing to make a wonderful love story. It’s was about time these two finally ended up together!!! It’s full of action scenes, I was on the edge of my seat just reading it! And don’t worry, plenty of steaming scenes and dirty talks🥵 I am always happy to meet the MacTavish again and again!!! And as Sloan, Ethan’s wife calls them, the Mactavi, since they are always in a clump!!!! 5 ⭐️

Beautiful!

This story is just beautiful, it has many highs and a few lows,some laughs,bloodshed yes and if you don't have the stomach for it your only missing a very lovely story.Cantronia is the chiefton's daughter,which means no one touches his daughter and that also means her bodyguard Lucas. course he is punished for it by being sent away for three years until he is call back early because Cantronia is kidnapped. She is a chemist and highly sought after in her field.But a very sick man took her and he doesn't care who he hurts or how,he is a sick man.Lucas fine her and while she is doing her captor bidding,she is making notes and almost really when Lucas takes her out of that denom 's den.There is alot of action in this story,alot of gore and so much love and happiness. when I read the extended episode, it made me laugh and smile and I think of knickers or see the word I will always think of this story and Lucas and Cantronia who never gave up,never let people or family get in their way of happiness even if your father is the chiefan!They went thru hell,near death,not once but twice and they still came out stronger where no one can take them down!

Omg this series!! It hits all my buttons! This one hits the heart strings for sure. We met him in book one briefly but then he left. Now, 3 years later, he comes back to help rescue her. She has avoided relationships through the first books and we didnt really know why. Now we do! Action, in more ways than one, and intense emotions at times. Kept me reading til it was done!! I love when a story does that and this one, as well as the rest in the series, didnt disappoint.

ARC Review for ‘Rekindled’ by Arianna Fraser.

This is in my opinion the best book of the Mactavish Heirs!
Their story brings us to other parts of the world, other languages and traditions beautifully written out.
It has danger and suspense.
Cat is a very smart scientist, so ni weak damsel in distress there as a MacTavish should be!
Lucas is everything a bodyguard, a savior can be with a good brain in his head. Being one of the best trackers and hackers in the world.
The longing and banter and 🌶️ between Cat and Lucas is just off swoonworthy! Their chemistry in the book is a once in a lifetime love.
“We find our way back to the one meant for us at the right time, rather than the time we expect”. 🤩🥹
And their 🌶️ is intense, and years of pent up yearning and desire just explodes on the pages. Dayum!!

If you haven’t read the Mactavish Heirs yet, you need to add them to your TBR list!! They are all amazing🤩

Beyond expectations!

With the description of the book I was expecting the common fall in love with the body guard story. This one was very unique and nothing like so many others I’ve read. Just enough suspense to keep me reading all in one sitting! Can’t wait for the next one from this great author!

I love a good bodyguard romance. Lucas and Catriona are the best kind of main characters. They weren’t “in denial” about their love and we see their first hookup in a flashback rather than that being the focus of the entire book. The story was good and I loved that Catriona wasn’t a damsel in distress and was able to protect herself. We need more stories like this!

This book was so good, it is fantastic. It is a second chance at love. The H was the bodyguard for the h, they had a mutual attraction for each other. They finally caved in and slept together, he tells her father, who exiled him from the clan for 4 years. The H vowed to come back for her, she didn’t know why he had left. When she is kidnapped, her father calls him to find her. The plot is great with so much action. There’s characters from the previous books which makes it even more interesting. They were married while hiding not knowing that they were married. In the end, the villain was dead and they got their second chance. Great epilogue.

Rekindled by Arianna Fraser is a book in The MacTavish Heirs series.
The plot was very different but was an excellent read.
The characters were perfect & each depicted so well.
This is Liam & Catrionas story. The telling is fantastically done.

Sometimes second-chance romance can be so challenging to read, but Lucas and Cat are perfect together! Really good amount of 🌶️ and the plot is engaging as well! I love this world and the glimpses of past characters throughout! Definitely recommend!

So many hawt MacTavish men. So many. I’m so glad they multiply like unto bunnies because I am guaranteed another excellent read with each book Arianna publishes. Her heroes are not just delightfully handsome; they have a sense of humor, and that’s so sexy. They are also delicious in bed because Arianna writes the best sexytime scenes that are both hot and seriously fun to read. Lucas is intense and capable and completely focused on Catriona. And I am officially adding him to my Hizem.
I’d say Arianna’s heroines are plucky except that’s a term reserved for orphans and the FMCs from 19th century comedies of manners. Instead I will say her heroines have backbone and are relatable, independent women. Catriona is very intelligent and resourceful. The villain wants her considerable braaiins, not her body. (Lucas respects her braaiins but wants to do wicked things to her body. And I am here for it). Catriona is the actual MacTavish in this romantic equation, and proof that the women of the MacTavi are as able to anchor a novel as the men.
Together they are fire. The sexytime employs BDSM lite, and is so steamy that I resent that the scenes star Catriona instead of me.
Rekindled is a Bodyguard Romance, and what girl doesn’t love a hawt guy who can keep her safe and gives off touch-her-and-unalive vibes? It’s also a Second Chance Romance, with flashbacks to their first chance that Arianna blends seamlessly with the present-day story. (Girl can write).
Each of the characters has a distinct personality and is not just a collection of quirks. The breakout star of the book is Mairi, Catriona’s mother-in-law, whose name I shall praise because she bests the Lady Elspeth while remaining polite. ( I wonder if I can borrow Mairi for Thanksgiving, because I bet she could convince my Aunt Candy to spend it with her sister in Arizona rather than torturing the rest of the family).
I loved the scenes in Morocco, very vividly described with a layer of sensuality. I loved how the women pampered Catriona and did a fun makeover, and loved even more that she and Lucas had a joyful time dancing, both vertically and horizontally. And the dress Catriona wore for the occasion- *chef’s kiss*.
As always, Arianna wrote a book that captured my attention and refused to let go. Reading her books is like eating the most decadent chocolate, and is even more satisfying.

You have danger, betrayal, love, tears, death, power, action and passion. These two will definitely keep you on your toes….

This book had me hooked from the start. Being a Mafia Romance story, it is dark in places, violent at times, passionate in places, full of secrets, loyalties tested and let’s not forget the heat between them. You will fall in love with Lucas and Catriona, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. There is never a dull moment - you will be hooked! I know I was - just love these two! A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊

So, when this story opens with Catriona thrust into danger, she doesn’t panic, and is already plotting her next move, cool-headed and razor-sharp. She knows the MacTavishes will be mobilizing every resource to track her down. All she has to do is outwit her “host” long enough for reinforcements to arrive. Enter Lucas, her ex-bodyguard and the man who once shared an unforgettable night with her. Banished to Russia after confessing his “sin” to his Chieftain (Catriona’s father), Lucas vowed he’d return for Catriona when his four-year exile ended. Called home a year early, he’s thrust straight back into the action. With his world-class tracking skills, if anyone can bring her back, it’s him. One of my favorite things about this book though, is how Catriona is portrayed. Not just fearless, but also brilliant, calculating, and more than capable of holding her own. Yet there’s also something undeniably delicious about watching Lucas at her side, not overshadowing her, but amplifying her strength. An amazing story that brings a couple back together after the man was exiled by the woman's father for breaking a vow for working for the family. The man is called back to the family when the woman that he used to be a bodyguard for is kidnapped.
At the beginning the man with the help from others starts looking for the woman and after they locate where she’s being held the man and his team go to retrieve her. The man and the woman have to track through mountains while trying to not be found by the guy who had her kidnapped men. They make it to an ally to the woman’s family home and while the family friend marries the couple.
The couple gets back to the woman's family who celebrate their return. While at the celebration the man gets a call and he leaves to deal with what was said. When the woman finds out the man left she goes after him and she finds him. The woman’s father has them come to his office for some business at this time the couple finds out that they are married.
The guy who kidnapped the woman starts causing trouble and the woman decides to get rekidnapped by the man but before that could happen she’s taken to have a tracker put in her. The guy has his men cause some trouble and not long after the woman lets the guy kidnap her again. While with the guy, he finds the tracker and removes it.
The woman makes what the guy has been wanting but hides it from the guy. The man is captured by the guy’s men. The man after being tended to by the woman is helped by his team along with some of the woman’s family.
Three months later the couple have a marriage ceremony at the woman’s grandparent’s estate. After the wedding ceremony they celebrate with family and a few friends.
The couple is happy and in love. Living happily ever after.

You might want to make sure to double check that you are buckled up, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love along the way. Catriona is a chemist specializing in poison, antidote she is also the chiefton’s daughter, meaning everyone should know no one touches her but apparently her bodyguard Lucas didn’t get the message, and her father punished him by sending him away for years despite him being the best protector for his daughter. Catriona was kidnapped because she is one of the most sought after chemist but a very sick man who needs an antidote took her, he doesn’t care who he hurts to get the cure, and her father knows there is only one man who can save his daughter. Lucas sexy as all get out bodyguard had one job that he took seriously maybe a little to serious he isn’t a man you want on your radar, he is ruthless, dangerous on a good day, deadly every day, especially when you put your hands on those he cares about but he couldn’t help that his heart choose the one women he was protecting knowing it would lead to trouble sure enough he was sent away the moment she was taken and he gets the call from her father he knew he would take out anyone in his way to save his girl but will he get to her in time, will she find an antidote for the sick man, will she stop him from hurting others, will her father see that he was wrong or will she be strong enough to stand up to him, will they see that fate has given them a second chance, and will they grab it finding their own happiness?

First off, I absolutely love Arianna's books and she went ahead and made a bodyguard one. Woman, bless your heart!! I loved this and one of the very best things is connecting with this clan again. You aren't going to meet a funnier, more earthy family! This bunch has me in stitches just interacting with one another. Add a outsider into the mix? They're either wanting to kill them or trying to charm them which just comes naturally. Even when they're gruff or having an off day, charm oozes out of these men. Now the women however...

This one is tough and protected. Her family won't have it any other way. Only they can accomplish certain things and when they can't they might just enlist a man good enough to be one of them.

Now make no mistake. Our lady is tough. And I'm going to give this H some grace because he was upset with one of my favorite Mactavish. I get why but hey, she was thinking of her family. The response he had and the loyalty he has for his Chieftain, I loved that. His connection to our h? Loved that as well! I felt for the two. How terrible to be pulled apart and look at this H all hero like. I love having everyone coming together to help someone. And when these two get going...watch out for those sparks! They went on quite the adventure of course, which is so exciting and fun! It's intense and romantic and that food made me hungry! I love the varying locations. We get romance and an adventure and more time with this wonderful clan. This was so good and I can't wait for more!. A certain cousin comes to mind...!

Arianna Fraser keeps me wrapped up in her beautiful storytelling! I’ve always wanted to hear the lilt of a Scottish character and the MacTavish series is an absolute joy! Cartriona and Lucas make the most of their 2nd chance: beautiful settings, romance with an unrepentant dirty talking MMC, and a suspense filled kidnapping by a ridiculous villain!

I loved her brilliance, her feistiness, and her passionate responses to his dominance! Lucas was so much more than a bodyguard: he’s ruthless when necessary, overprotective, fiendishly clever in the bedroom or any flat surface!

The humor and charm of her family kept me laughing, but they’re a ruthless mafia family with multitudes of capabilities! It’s a fantastic read and their extra epilogue is deliciously wanton and entertaining! Their relationship is perfectly balanced, but with enough sass and desire to keep them devoted and inspired!!.

I loved this story about a love that stands the test of time, specifically the time Lucas and Catriona are separated because he is so honorable. When Cat is kidnapped by a pharmaceutical madman, Cormac does the correct thing in calling Lucas to rescue his daughter.
Lucas wastes no time in mounting a rescue operation while Catriona is working diligently to craft an antidote for the poison the madman has created.
They are separated from the rest of the Lucas' force and make their way to a small village where they are hosted by one of Cormac's colleagues.
They are transported back to Scotland where Catriona is greeted with open arms. Lucas and Catriona are forced to deal with the need for Catriona to agree to return to work on the poison antidote. There is a spectacular rescue operation mounted with a wonderful HEA ending.
The plot of this story was complex with wonderful heat and humor between Catriona and Lucas. The support of the McTavish clan is well thought out.

This story was MUCH better than 'The Bodyguard' movie! I have to hand it to Ms. Fraser, this story by far is the best romance and has the most diabolical villain of the MacTavish Heirs series! You can tell from the beginning that Lucas and Cat were meant to be, and nothing was going to stop him from finally claiming her (not the chieftain, not the creepy villain, not the blistering cold of Siberia, and certainly not the meddling family!). I really enjoyed this story, and if I continue about what I liked, I'll give the whole story away - which wouldn't be good since this is too good of a read to pass up! Enjoy!.

Arianna has done it again!! Her writing just keeps getting better and better. At first your heart wants to break over Lucas and Catriona and the circumstances but I so loved how everything came back about. I felt it served her dad right that he had to call Lucas back as no one had the skills that he had. Be prepared you start this book you will need to finish it to the end. The scenes are spicy and hot hang on for the wild sexy ride, and its so worth it.. The action is non-stop and you feel like you are there right with the characters . I loved every single moment of this book I so can't wait to see what this amazing author has in store for us next. This is a must read!!!

Rekindled lived up to it's title and had me glued to the pages. Catriona is a hellraiser and Lucas was just the man that could tame her fierce persona. Their passion for each other is not in question it is the fact that she is his boss's daughter. Will they find their way to each other and get their chance for happiness.
