Chantelle Warren is just biding her time until after the Christmas celebration she’s planning. Then she’ll ask the Elders to name her mate, because after months of Sebastian’s flirty smiles and almost innocent touches, she's ready for more and confident he's the one.
Sebastian Robins wants nothing more than to find his raven-haired beauty wrapped in nothing but a bow beneath the Christmas tree. But with feelings already running deep, he has to stand firm. His dragon doesn't like his resolve, and keeps pushing him toward Chantelle's phoenix, but Sebastian can't risk losing his heart if Chantelle isn't his fated mate.
A cute, quick read that didn't quite work for me. Why? Because the whole story is based on misunderstandings and miscommunication - my total pet peeve.
Loved the characters, just not keen on them not talking to each other argh!
All they needed to do was talk! But because they didn’t, there was unnecessary conflict and it was ridiculous. Granted, I just read this because it’s Christmas time and I don’t think I’ve read the other books in this series but these 2 got on my last nerve! Ugh!
Very good book. Loved how the dragons and phoenix read about the humans holiday called Christmas. They got together and made their humas Queen a surprise Christmas.
Chantelle a Phoenix Shifter, had been informed by the Elders that Sebastion a Dragon Shifter was her mate. So with Sebastion and Chantelle it was just a wish waiting to come true.
This was an enjoyable read. Christmas of not. At times sweet, sad, and super fiery. The rocky road to a happy ending is rarely easy, but always worth it.
Absolutely delightful. I loved it! Such a sweet and endearing Christmas story. Once upon a midnight clear, Santa and his ...dragons....What is going on at the "Snow Pole"? Huh? Beautiful phoenix Chantelle Warren has been in love with Sebastian since - forever! And after kissing him one night a few months ago, she can't seem to think about anything but Sebastian. Handsome sexy Sebastian Warren is totally head over heels for the beautiful Chantelle but in Avalore, it is the women who decide when they are to be mated and only with their fated mate called forth by the Elders. What's a guy to do? See the sparks fly and the dragon scales burn as these two try to find their way to each other. So romantic! So sweet! So sexy! So dreamy! So good! Sigh.......... Fantastic entertainment and a great read!
I am so in love with this series! Every book controls my attention to the point I can't put them down. This novella was no exception. I really enjoyed the two main characters as well as the interactions with all the previous characters we've come to know and love. Yes there was the usual stubbornness and stupidity by each character, but I loved their story. Can't wait for the next installment!
Guess I will have to go back and read part one and two. It was a good read, but a little confusing because it was the third book. If you plan on reading this, do yourself a favor and read the first two beforehand.
Yes, I read these out of order but it didn't matter as each book in the series stands on its own very well. Love the shifters, love the passion and depth Ms. Adams weaves into her worlds. As always, nicely done and I look forward to more!
A lovely short sweet tale from Avalore as they try to bring Christmas to Queen Rhiannon. We again meet Barbara and Clayton from Flickering Light and their son Max. We also get a story about Chelsea and Sebastian and the bumpy ride to their mating.
